    Szechuan chicken lunch special
    Corey M.

The hot and sour soup was a little bit on the bland side could certainly use a little more white pepper and some actual vinegar. My Szechuan chicken, however, was excellent suitably spicy and very tender and a plentiful portion, even for a lunch special. The fried rice was nothing special, but it certainly was not bad. However, the eggroll was atrocious, it was freezer burnt and tasted old. This is probably the closest thing to authentic Chinese food in the area so I give them props for that, but they really should work on the consistency with their food service with keeping their food fresh. Prices are reasonable, service was fine nothing special.

Came here for the fried rice! Very good! You can ask for extra spice. Food came out fresh and hot! Also tried the peach blossom. It was a little sweet, but otherwise great. Place was very well kept and clean. Ladies at the register were very friendly. Will come back again!

Ok this place surprised me. I was not expecting it to be this good. The beef lo mien was the best I've ever had and honestly I can say the same for the wonton soup, and I've had a lot of wonton soup. And the prices are the best value in the area.

Thank you Yelp Surprise Me! We hit the button and landed on Fuya Kitchen. Great lunch specials, combo plates and hibachi meals are available to choose from. They also had a full tea menu. I chose the Kung Pao meal with beef chicken and shrimp. As a combo it came with fried rice, an egg roll, and sweet and sour chicken. The fried rice need some extra oomph but still good. We will definitely be back to try more things.

I went here today after work first off the people were so so sweet i wish i would've gotten their names! they were so fast with my order and i live about 25 min from the restaurant and when i got home my food was still insanely hot i had to let it cool which is awesome being i hate having to reheat food and always take a chance ordering out! Another thing is these containers are packed FULL as an official big back i approve 10/10

Definitely one of the most thoughtful business owners you can imagine. We ordered for pickup & they chased us down in the parking lot because they were afraid they missed giving us a rice. How sweet is that? Very affordable. The portions are huge. Quality is fantastic. Fried rice is full of flavor & fresh. General Tso's beef has just the right kick. Triple Kung Pao is fantastic. Salt & pepper chicken ftw! Really, everything was delicious.

The food was really delicious and I was able to get shrimp with General Tso's sauce, which is my favorite Chinese food.

We had to track down our server who then had to also be the bartender despite the fact that there were multiple people in the kitchen that could have assisted him. It was kind of frustrating because while we were in the midst of our food our friend who did arrive about ten minutes behind did not even get her drink order. I did appreciate that he specifically pointed out that due to the size of our group, they already added gratuity. I think there is less of an issue with this particular server as opposed to all the other people that could have helped him. Food: I enjoyed all the food and the drinks. I did the chicken satay, which wasn't traditional for what I'm used to from Singapore but it seemed like everyone in my group enjoyed it. I also did the lotus leaf which was absolutely delicious. Venue: this place almost doesn't deserve to be in the woodlands, and more feels like it would be more appreciated in houston. I absolutely thought it was fantastic and loved it. And loved all the care that went into it. Value: I had two happy hour beers and three appetizers, and my bill was less than fifty. I was totally full and had room for leftovers. The next day. I think everyone should try this place. It is a unique experience with lots of different foods.

We started with the egg rolls and gyoza as appetizers. Both were delicious, but the egg rolls were especially impressive--they were packed with flavor. The gyoza was cooked perfectly and tasted great as well. My wife ordered the Volcano Salad and absolutely loved it. It was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. For my entrée, I tried several sushi rolls. The Godzilla Roll was my favorite by far. It had the perfect combination of crunchy and soft textures with incredible flavor--you don't even need soy sauce because it's that good. I also ordered the Baked Salmon Roll, which was something new for me. I loved that it was served hot, and the flavor was absolutely spectacular. The service was excellent throughout the evening. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made our date night even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Akashi!

Sushi has always been solid--nothing life-changing, but consist and gets the job done. Service? A bit of a wild card... sometimes great, sometimes you're left wondering if you accidentally turned invisible. Tried the hibachi for the first time and... meh. Not terrible, not amazing--just kind of there. The shrimp was tasty, the noodles were decent, but the fried rice (my favorite part!) was a real letdown. Somehow managed to taste like straight oil with a side of disappointment. Overall: come for the view, stick to the sushi, and maybe let the fried rice sit this one out.

After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

Even so, we didn't have to wait for a table for two. The meal was filling. The portion sizes are enough to feed two people. I made some alterations to my order and they were happy to oblige. Our service was great. I could tell the waitress was new and still learning so I worked with her. She now knows that they do have serve a salmon dish that comes with jumbo shrimp, steamed vegetables and the rice of your choice. This dish was pretty good. I could have done without the jumbo jalapeño though. I enjoyed the seaweed salad. It came with a bed of lettuce and a creamy dressing. Not the typical seaweed salad, but enjoyable nonetheless.
