Always solid food menu in a nice environment. The waiters are friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The hot and sour soup was very good.

The woodlands is such a forest that you can have an ice, little neighborhood restaurant next door to you and not know about it unless you pull up the map. This restaurant was one of those. Turns out it was the closest Asian restaurant to my house, but I didn't have a clue until he yelp told me about it. This is a good traditional chinese restaurant. Take out or eat in. Comfortable booths. Excellent service. Fairly generic Cantonese Chinese. I would suggest you start at the back of the menu. Tere, you'll find the dinner specials. For 14.95, you can have a complete meal. Including, Soup, appetizers. Main dish. Beverages are also quite reasonable at 250. We had two different pots of tea and they were both good, but go with the jasmine. We ordered two similar chicken dishes. I had the ubiquitous. General Tsao chicken. My wife ordered sesame chicken. They were an identical sauce but one of course, had a great deal of spice added. Overall, i probably should have gone with the sesame. Chicken was excellent. Fresh chicken breast tender. The rice was well done. The vegetables were just right, everything, as i expected. Solid four stars.

The food is delicious and I believe it's the best in the area for Chinese food. Not fancy on the inside, but you do get really great service here. I highly recommend this place above all other places that I have tried. Go get you some good food and enjoy their very reasonable prices.

This is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in The Woodlands. The vibe is pretty casual but the food is great. They have some unique dishes that you can't find at a lot of other Chinese restaurants in this area. There is a lot of variety on the menu and it goes far beyond basic "Americanized" Chinese food with a great mix of traditional dishes as well. As you can see, the portion sizes are huge. The quality is excellent and a great value. They also have a great lunch special. Service is quick and friendly.

Was referred here by a friend and so glad we came! The service was nice, the food came out hot and it was fresh. Loved the egg rolls!! The egg drop soup is to die for! Kinda hard to find this behind the woods and other buildings! Very clean and comfy booths.

Excellent waitstaff at lunch today. Amy and Liana (spelling) they were great. Food was very genuine with out Hot Spicy Fish (large bowl) and the best in Texas Yangzhou Fried Rice, not saturated with soy sauce and lots of shrimp chicken ham.and eggs!

Best Asian food I have had in The Woodlands/Conroe area by far. Had it delivered and the food was still very warm.

The service was excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by how many vegetarian options they offered. We ordered the kimchi, kimchi fried rice, vegetarian dumplings, and mapo tofu. Every dish was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The portions were also very generous--we had plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. It's not always easy to find restaurants with so many great vegetarian choices, so this was a wonderful find. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

Nice Chinese restaurant located in the Woodlands off College Park close to I45. Let's start with…read moreparking. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center where several businesses share a large parking lot so parking was not a problem at all. Free and you can park close. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll notice that it's quite sizeable with many tables and seats. We went for an early lunch on a weekday and it was fairly empty. There was one large party of 8 and a few tables for 2 that were occupied. We got our table for 4 in a booth-like seating arrangement and prepared to look over the extensive menu. The menu is quite extensive and took a while to get through. Since it was our first time there, we decided to go with the classics: 1. Braised beef noodle soup - came out piping hot. Good portion. Good flavor. Noodles aren't necessarily hand-pulled but had inconsistent width making me wonder if they make the noodles in-house. They were very good. I wish there was a little more beef, and the beef was tender but not the best I've had. 2. Wonton soup - huge given it's an appetizer. I liked everything about it and could have been full if I just ate that myself. 3. Pork soup dumplings - the size of each dumpling is much bigger than expected. I liked everything how the top has a hole so you can actually drink the soup without needing to bite into the dumpling skin. 4. Pan fried pork dumplings - standard. I liked it but could have used a little more vegetables. Very meat-heavy. All in all, the food was great but not amazing. Prices were fair and maybe a tad on the expensive side. The service was good overall - waitress was super nice but obviously new. She made the experience quite positive. Lastly the reason I couldn't quite give it 5 stars is there was a faint odor in the restaurant (maybe sewage) that just made the meal a little less appetizing than it could have been. And some of the serving utensils were dirty so we had to ask for new ones.

I rolled up on Chef Chan's yesterday after a day of Christmas shopping (more accurately Christmas pickups, who can risk "shopping" these days). Wish I had gotten here sooner. We ordered Mongolian Beef, Chef Chan's Beef, egg rolls and fried dumplings and all were among the best I ever had. The egg rolls were crisp and hot and not one bit oily. The dumplings were fried on all sides and filled with a pork filling that was superb. The Mongolian Beef was not too sweet and paired beautifully with the rice. And the very best? Chef Chan's beef. I had scoured the menu for orange beef which serves as a litmus test for me when I'm trying a néw Chinese place. Sadly, there wasn't any on the menu. I asked the waitress about Chef Chan's beef and she said it was his version of orange beef and I was all in. This beef is barely breaded but fried to a delightful crispness. There is no visible sauce but the essence of orange resonates in each bite without overwhelming. The portions were huge so I got two meals out of it but I was ready to hurry back for more. The very best! COVID-19 precautions are in place with masks and hand sanitizer required. Meals are served in solid takeout containers which is both safe and convenient.

Albert, Susan, Jason, and I came for our first visit and ordered whatever sounded good, then shared everything family-style--which turned into quite the feast. We tried the pork soup dumplings, separate orders of steamed pork, chicken, and beef dumplings, the crispy beef roll, fried shrimp balls, pineapple beef, combo fried noodles, Mongolian beef, and the swan dessert. The pork soup dumplings were my favorite: hot, juicy, freshly made, and absolutely worth ordering. The crispy beef roll was another standout, especially with all that fresh cilantro. The shrimp balls were crispy outside and tender and flavorful inside, and the pineapple beef was served inside a hollowed-out pineapple with a sweet flavor similar to sweet-and-sour beef, minus the sour. The Mongolian beef and combo fried noodles were both good additions, and we had plenty of leftovers because the portions were generous. The value is honestly excellent for both the amount and caliber of food. I tried apple sake for the first time and loved it, while Jason's nigori sake paired perfectly with the meal. The food arrived at a comfortable pace, so we could actually enjoy each dish instead of having the entire table buried at once. Vicky was wonderful. She helped us understand what was in the different dishes and made excellent recommendations. The swan dessert had a red bean filling and came with "Welcome to Mimi Garden" written in chocolate, which made our first visit feel especially thoughtful. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, tables were cleared almost immediately after guests left, parking was easy, and the atmosphere was soft and peaceful with quiet music and low conversation. You can also watch the food being made through the large glass wall, which added to the experience. This place works as a hidden gem, a date-night spot, or a relaxed dinner with friends. Delicious food, beautiful presentation, great service, generous portions, and prices that make you wonder why every seat is not already taken. We will absolutely be back.

The pad krapow isn't really Thai style. It leans heavily Chinese, and if you want it closer to the real thing, the upcharges start stacking. Ground pork swapped for sliced chicken? +$2. Add a fried egg? +$3. You can see the pattern. The green curry was fine. Not bad, not memorable. Other places do it better, though I'll give them credit for the gold bowl -- nice presentation. The cheese sticks come in egg‑roll wrappers, which is exactly what it sounds like: mozzarella stick meets egg roll. I tried to talk my kid out of ordering it, but they wanted something "not Thai." Honestly, most of the menu already fits that description. A lot of dishes feel like Westernized interpretations of Thai food rather than Thai food itself.
