It isn't THE BEST Mexican food ever or the fanciest place, BUT it is really well priced and pretty decent food (a combo meal or salad will cost around $6). It does semi-depend on what you order. The first time I went, I ordered chicken enchiladas and was NOT impressed. However, the fish tacos are great (Tempura, not grilled. The grilled is honestly greasier and doesn't taste as good). Also, their salads are so good and huge also. My friend swears their quesadillas are SO good too. Their hot sauce is nothing special. Another perk is that their beer is REALLY reasonably priced. Three stars for cheddar cheese on a fish taco is generous at best. I had to pick it off, since that is a vicious combination. I could handle a salty bit of queso fresco, but cheddar with fish- no. Sad to write that we won't be going back to Fuzzy's. Our family stopped in on a busy Sunday afternoon for lunch. There were no available tables so we opted to take our lunch home. Our kids ordered the bean and cheese nachos only to find a pile of chips with shredded cheese (not even melted) and no beans whatsoever. My taco looked as though someone threw it in the box. My love of fuzzy's started in my college years and continues to today. There is nothing like Fuzzy's tacos. They are unique with the feta cheese topping. Fuzzy's has a distinct spin on Mexican that we just can't help but love! I always get their award winning Tempura Shrimp tacos, served on fresh corn tortillas topped with lettuce, tomatoes and feta cheese with rice and beans. I find their re fried beans very tasty, the rice as well. My husband always gets the fajita steak salad and loves it. We are health conscious and we find that Fuzzy's doesn't use excessive salt like so many restaurants. If you're like my husband and want a man sized portion of steak on your salad there is a very small fee to add an extra portion and we like that. read more

I've eaten at the Fuzzys in Lubbock hundreds of times. But this place really sucks and it takes a lot to get me to say that (15+ years in restaurant management). Asked for the queso in a to go cup but the cooks don't speak ANY English so for everything to go even after repeating multiple tones or is all for here just wanted the queso in Togo cup. Out of Dr pepper after I just got some and the Manager, older gentlemen with balding head was more concerned with standing behind the counter checking sales or standing on the open kitchen window shoving food on his mouth with bare ungloved hands as he worked his way down the line. This is my 3rd attempt at this Fuzzys the first 2 were even worse, I thought third times a charm...... I will not frequent Fuzzys and we'll tell everyone I know not to. So sad I really liked their food. I suggest El Arroyo on copper a bit of a drive but never had bad service, dry food or a management team that didn't at least so by for a courtesy check..... Never again don't know what's going on at this location or why the manager is violating SerfSafe training and health department rules but I'm done. I love the food here (warm salsa and white queso), the fact they serve shiner draft, and the ALWAYS excellent customer service from everyone who works there. I couldn't make up my mind to order chips and salsa or chips and queso, I ended up ordering queso, but they brought both and the guy told me he didn't want me to miss out! We've been going to this Fuzzy's location for five years. However, the frequency has decreased in relation to the quality of the food. We hadn't been in some time and decided to give it another try last night. Bad choice. Granted, this was a to go order. We arrived within 5 min of placing the order anticipating that we would have to wait. Nope, it was ready but still meh and cold - nothing was warm. We had an order of bean and cheese nachos that was literally a clump of cold refried beans in the middle of a pile of chips. I first went to Fuzzy's about a month ago. It's kinda confusing at first, but once you get used to the menu it goes by super fast. I enjoy their grilled shrimp soft tacos, and their Mexican rice and refried beans are really good. I also enjoy their breakfast items like the chorizo, egg and cheese tacos; some of the best breakfast items in the area. My main gripe is that although the food is really good, they are prone to mix up orders. Sometimes they'll get the wrong item in the wrong taco, so you have to check to make sure it's right before leaving. Also, it can be a bit on the pricy side if you're picking up supper. This location must be under new management, as I have had much better service in the past. We ordered the chicken sticks for my son and they were burned. When I told the manager, he didn't apologize or act like he cared, but he did get us new chicken sticks- they were also terribly burned. We are big Fuzzy's fans. We go to the downtown Arlington location quite often. The food is always good and the staff is friendly and helpful. Tonight we found ourselves across town and decided we would go to the W. Green Oaks location for a late dinner. We've been here before, too on several occasions. The food is not always as good as the other location, but it's still better than most of the other taco places in town. Tonight, however, was a new low in nearly every category. We ordered and sat down to wait until our buzzer went off. When it did, my wife jumped up to go get our food. She came back with mine, but hers was not ready yet. ?? Strange they buzzed us to get only half our order. They finally page her to come get her food only to let her know they were out if things that were supposed to be on her plate so they just left them off. No substitutions, no apology, nothing. When she gets to the table we realized we STILL did not have everything we had ordered and paid for. I saw the manager standing behind the counter and went to talk to him. I asked if it is common that people order and wait only to find out the kitchen is out of what you were craving. He told me his kitchen does a really good job communicating with the front so that rarely, if ever happens. It happened tonight. I then asked if customers normally have to make multiple trips up to the counter to get all the food they ordered. He assured me their system prevents that from occurring. Not tonight I said. He asked what we were still waiting on. I told him and he said a girl get it for me from the kitchen. And then he walked away. No apology, no thank you, no anything. After we had finished eating, I then had the opportunity to walk away......for good. Don't ruin your mealtime by going here. They apparently don't need your business anyway. read more

It's okay. Have tried the fish, veggie, breakfast tacos, and tortillas soup. Tortillas are kind of dry and there is a lot of lettuce on the tacos. They charge extra for actual salsa. The fish and veggie fillings were pretty tasty. Tortilla soup was either actually bean chili, or just tasted exactly like bean chili. Not sure if they got my order wrong or not since chili was not on the menu. As chili, it was okay, but as tortilla soup it was terrible. We generally do take out (husband w/cancer) and inevitably something is missing; for example queso and chips without the queso, salad without dressing, wet chicken tacos. There queso is marvelous. Prices have gone up since they opened and beer costs more. Take it or leave it. read more
