Met some friends here on a Monday night. Had never heard of this place before. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or not but our server was also working the bar as well. She was great though. Hustled back and forth and was on top of everything. I ordered the brisket quesadilla. It was ok. Quite juicy. Hot sauce on the table was a good addition. Overall a good experience. I wasn't overly impressed with the food but it was ok.

Fishbowls, cocktails, margaritas and tacos, you can't go wrong. Although I had a chicken salad. It tasted fresh and chicken was full of flavor. Will definitely return for a more traditional dish. By the way, you order at the bar and pick up your food in the back. Staff were attentive and bringing food to clients as well. This place had a lot of seating and colorful decor.

I lived in Texas and this was a favorite go to restaurant for quick service and quality food. Today I went for one of my all time favorites. Steak Fajita Salad with Avocado Ranch dressing. This salad is huge and so delicious. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.

I stopped by Fuzzy's to pick up a to-go order. I was really looking for a fast food spot with REAL (or more authentic) food. Well, Fuzzy's seemed to have just that! I ordered the brisket quesadilla and the food was very flavorful and cooked well. I picked up my order from the bar area and ordered a frozen margarita, with an extra shot, to go. What a cool option! The bartender was extremely kind and accommodating. I'm looking forward to returning to enjoy a football game in the bar area.

Went to the restaurant on Valentine's Day evening with some friends. This was my first experience with the restaurant. I had a great time with my friends but I was rather disappointed with the food. The tacos I got were dry, rather flavorless as was the Margarita (watered down I added the lime) and chips and salsa (not pictured). The tacos and salsa could have used some moisture and salt. Chips and salsa weren't really worth the money I paid for them. The service was slow and even though it was Valentine's Day, it wasn't overly busy. I'm unsure if I will give this place another try anytime soon. Plus it was almost $10 for the two tacos which's a bit steep! They are a taco shop and should make a good taco. ‍

When you walk in you get a choice of full service or self service. Self service you go to register and order food then get a buzzer and wait for it to go off. Full service is supposed to be where you get service at the table. We sat at a table on full service side for fifteen minutes, my husband even went to the bathroom. I watched the person who was supposed to be doing the service go to every table and everyone at the bar and still never came to our table to even ask for drink order let alone food order. We moved to self service side and went and ordered our own food and sat down. The woman working the self service side even went and got our chips and queso for us and explained that's why they give you a paper ticket so you can grab those on the way to your table while waiting for the rest of your food. So if you come, I suggest the self service side. The food was absolutely fabulous! Fresh and light and tasted great!

I like Fuzzy's. It's a good place to go with friends, or if you just want some casual Mexican food at a groovy place. Fuzzy's is a great social restaurant. Now, this being said, a great social restaurant is not necessarily the most high quality or mind blowingly good food. It's okay. Not fantastic but I will definitely still come and chow down if invited. I do love the Fuzzy's building. Super cute decorations that just make you happy. They have a wide ranging menu and pretty hard to beat prices, as well as specials a lot of weeks if you pay attention. So many people I know who go to Fuzzy's also love their margaritas, which they have a lot of specials for as well. My favorite thing ever here are the enchiladas. I've tried other things there, like tacos, burritos, and even fajitas but nothing is as good as the enchiladas. And the best part is when they pour queso over top, I mean how can you go wrong with thick cheese poured over something? I also love the combination of the enchiladas with the cilantro lime rice and refried beans. That is the best meal to me. But everything else is, eh. Also, the service is very on and off. Some of the workers are pretty friendly and some are definitely just there to do their job. It can take a long time to get your food too, even when it's not busy. All in all Fuzzy's is decent, but not top tier. It's one of my moms favorite restaurants, so every time she's in town we go and I go happily and will keep going, but reality is that it's just not crazy good food, which I don't think is their sell anyways.

There are a lot of Tex-Mex chains around nowadays, but I really like this one. The name is silly and the place is decorated in similar colors to other places with murals, etc. But there are a few different things. For one, they do an all day breakfast with tacos and burritos (which I haven't tried yet, but plan to). They sell beer and margaritas. Secondly, their food is great. I haven't tasted anything yet that wasn't delicious. First time around, I had the burrito bowl. Silly me, I thought it would be something small. Nope it's the insides of a very large burrito artfully arranged in a large stainless steel bowl (without the tortilla). It was delicious. Second time, I had the Enchilada combo plate. I tried both the sauces, red & green. Couldn't decide which one I liked more. The red was smoky and had a mole' type flavor to it. The green was tangy and creamy, like a salsa verde with sour cream. Their refried beans are both creamy and chunky, and the cilantro-lime rice was flavored just right. The enchiladas were generously filled with meat. I've tried bites of their Latin potatoes and the Borracha beans, both very flavorful. The employees were very pleasant and helpful and the restaurant was clean. The manager was there and greeted us, asking how our experience was. The second time we were there, everyone was masked appropriately. The only complaint is that it is very awkward to get to when driving south on South Florida Avenue. You have to drive past it, then make a U-turn into the lot. To go back to South Florida Avenue, drive to the rear of the building, go to the left and exit via Poppell Drive.

Thanks, Yelp! When I was hungry after antiquing, you led me here. Nice work!…read more I'm not overly familiar with the Lakeland dining scene (I probably owe it to myself to change that), so needed help satisfying my constant craving for Mexican. The Yelpiverse offered several options. The many mentions of kind service drew me here. And indeed, Yelp was right on. Alex was amazing. He was so friendly and helpful-never made me feel rushed. That was just the thing I needed, after a long work week. So, Tapatio's is on Memorial, not far from Lakeland High School. It's a cute, golden yellow building with several beautiful flower planters and crepe myrtle trees out front. It's eye-catching and yes, there's a big private parking lot. Inside, it's big but cozy. There are two separate dining areas: one up front, facing Memorial. The other is along the side. I was seated in the front area. It's colorful, comfy and homey. There's a wholesome vibe here that makes me wonder if this a family operation. I felt very welcomed. And I absolutely loved the complimentary chips and salsa. The fresh, light chips were served warm and came with two salsas: regular-and a side of spicy, that you can mix in with the regular to your ideal heat level. The menu is large... and it took me a long time to decide. Alex was so patient. I had a margarita, which wasn't too sweet (yay). I also ordered a small side of queso blanco dip and a side of flour tortillas. Frankly, I was stuffed after that, but I didn't want to miss out on anything-so I ordered the lunch "pick two" and went with two tacos: one hard taco with beef and one soft taco with chicken. It came with one side-I went with rice. What a great value for money this was: a huge helping for $11.95! The tacos were stuffed full of meat, that was cooked well. I really enjoyed all the little extra touches here, the attention to detail. There was a paper doily under the cheese dip cup, on the little plate. I liked the engraved logo on the wooden salt and paper shakers on each table and all of the wall art and decor objects. You can tell the owners/staff care about the business and the customers. I wish them all good things and huge success.

It's family-owned, simple, traditional nothing fancy, but the flavor more than makes up for it. On top of that, the family running the place couldn't be more humble and welcoming. I tried a gordita for the first time; a homemade tortilla stuffed to perfection. Everything is made fresh to order, even the tortillas. You can actually see them working their magic behind the counter, mixing the batter, molding, frying, and cooking right there in front of you. We ordered four gorditas; two carnitas and two steak: each one loaded with mozzarella cheese, sliced avocado, crema (their version of sour cream), onions, and cilantro. Oh my God, now I understand why it's called a gordita -- it's packed! For the price, you can't beat it. Two gorditas filled me up, and for about $12 total, it's a steal!!! The quality, freshness, and homemade taste easily surpass most restaurants charging twice the price. We also tried their chilaquiles -- another knockout dish. They use the same homemade tortillas, cut and fried, then topped with their house-made red or green salsa (depending on how much heat you can handle), Mexican cheese, crema, onion, and cilantro, all served over rice and beans with two perfectly fried eggs on top. The green salsa packs more spice, but the red can be blended to your liking. Every bite was pure comfort and flavor. They even make their own chicharrones from scratch and serve authentic Mexican sodas like Coca-Cola in the tall glass bottles; the ones made with real cane sugar, not the syrupy stuff we're used to here. Now, let me be clear -- if you're one of those people who expect your food within five minutes, this isn't your spot. Everything here is made fresh, from scratch, and that takes time. People who truly know and appreciate homemade cooking understand that real food doesn't happen within five minutes. So come in, relax, and let them cook. Let them pamper you with their gift of delicious food. Don't rush them, and don't get impatient, this is a humble family who takes pride in perfection. I guarantee you won't find the same level of flavor, love, and authenticity anywhere else. So far, we've tried two items from the menu, and both were absolute hits. We'll definitely be coming back! Not just because the food is amazing, but because we love supporting humble, hardworking families who pour their heart and culture into every dish they serve.
