Very good classic game store. My wife and I are collectors and always have had luck at this store (so much, that we bought their discount card, which we rarely do). Somewhat smaller than some other stores in the area, the quality of their carts and cds have been impressive compared to others. Their prices are good for moderately rare stuff. Trey and Ernie have been doing this type of job for the longest, they had a shop in McKinney where I live, but unfortunately they had to close shop. I consider myself and my son to be part of their family, they are great people and the staff surpasses any expectation. I still go and buy my games from these guys, not only for their business but also because I consider them my friends. I believe that anyone who has any bad review to give these guys, do not see the integrity and honesty that they have, they are great guys and know their stuff. What a great old-school game rental store! Very friendly, helpful staff. And honest too! They called me when a computer glitch double charged my monthly fee before it even hit my account. We're not tournament gamers in this family but every time I go in to exchange games it looks like the players have their own fun little community. I was visiting what used to be my frequent stop, in Madness Comics, and found this little gem of a game store sitting right next door. I hadn't played any of my old N64 and Snes games for some time, in fact I forgot I still had them until I walked into this place. I was hit with Retro flashbacks and memories of good video gaming. The staff was extremely helpful and talkative, even though they were quite busy. They had people at the buying stuff, someone playing Sonic the Hedgehog, I think, also playing an old X-Men arcade cab. Sweet layout with a great friendly and family atmosphere. I didn't buy or trade anything, but I will definitely be back soon. It's hard to find any retail service nowadays with this level of customer attention, especially amongst all of the chaos of a busy store. read more

We went in to buy a couple of older consoles and some games for our grandson's birthday. We were greeted warmly even though the staff was busy. They had N64's in stock (used but guaranteed) and a system that plays both NES and SNES games. We bought one of each. A few days later we went in to buy some game cartridges before we gave him the consoles. Again, a nice friendly experience. Sadly, we had problems with one of the systems. My grandson and I took it back to see what was wrong and found a mix of issues. The staff behind the counter quickly diagnosed the problem and agreed to an exchange. They apologied for any trouble and made sure the new system worked before we left. They also gave my grandson a few hints on how to care for the system. We'll definitely be back in the future for new releases and more vintage gear. I've been around long enough to understand the true meaning of good customer service, and that's exactly what I received at FX Games. read more

Walked in and the owner was waiting at the front desk. He helped me right away and knew a lot about what he was talking about. He let me roam around and had a pretty good selection of games especially of the older stuff. Mainly ps2 and genesis. He had ALL of the old systems (nes, snes, genesis, xbox, ps1 and 2, n64 and so on). he had a lot of handhelds too. the systems are at great prices and he was more than happy to open them up to let me see the quality before I bought them and than he tested the two systems I bought before he rang them up. he let me know what i needed to make sure both systems and games all worked correctly as they should. He knew I was buying a lot and started taking money off and thre in a couple items as well. He was out of a couple things I was looking for and he made a call right away to see if he had them at the other store in McKinney. If he did he said he would have them there the next day and I could pick out any one I wanted. If your looking for a place to get old systems and games or even new games and systems he was them all. Give this place a shot. Very very impressed. he paid attention to me the whole time I was in there which was probably an hour and a half. I will definitely be back next week to pick up what he is going out of his way to get for me. read more
