Fyda has good equipment and a very good shop. Their truck salesmen are over all straight forward. Their truck financing department is a whole other story. The only care about getting you the loan you need at extremely large payments. If you find a truck that you like at Fyda put down your down payment and find a loan company your self for the financing. Yhere are loan companies out therr that are driver compassionate that is willing to get you in the payment you can afford at a good rate. Fayda Freightliner in Columbus, Ohio, has sky-high prices for mechanical repairs, and they charge for absolutely nothing. I dropped off my truck on July 1st for a brake repair; they called the next day to say it was ready. I went to pick it up and paid the $1,148 bill, but when I inspected the truck, I realized it still had no brakes. I complained, and they said they would check it again. A short while later, they came back and told me I had to pay another $3,956 for the repair. I told them I had just paid $1,148 and they hadn't done anything. All I want is for them to credit the money I paid for nothing toward the new invoice--though even that new bill seems incredibly expensive; $2,070 just for labor is outrageous. Stay far away from fyda freightliner columbus. Trucks been there at the body shop over for over 7 weeks for a hood and radiator and a couple other miscellaneous small things. Will probably be over 8 weeks. Keep giving me updates it will be done by this time and not finishing the truck. Talked to the manager on Friday and now I get a call from body shop saying won't be until later this week. Just don't care about the smaller guys. Let me had been a bigger company truck would have been done. Customer service from the people in the office is terrible. They have an attitude you're calling checking up on your truck. Then they tell me they didn't tell me something like I just got it out of the sky. Just a frustrating process dealing with them. Lost the driver I had for the truck and lost the guy I had I thought I had to replace him because of how long this process has taken. Not able to make a dollar for 2 months because of this bs. Took van into a freightliner center. Worst idea ever. They tried to get $3500 of work out of me when all I asked for was part of the B Service. Then charged me a $400 "diagnostic" fee that I was forced to pay before I was able to get my van back out of their "impound". The service rep quoted me no less than 3 separate hourly rates during our interactions. They came up with this crazy diagnostic rate because I did not agree to them doing the work once i saw the work quote . $225 for just a fuel filter, laughable mark up, which you can buy every day all day long for $90. This company sold us nearly half a million dollars worth of trucks and we have had major problems since delivery. We made the mistake of finding these on the internet and trusting FYDA to sell us vehicles that we could use in our business. Instead, we received repair nightmares that cost us money to repair, lost revenue, and drivers who don't want to drive trucks that break down. We complained to the company and got promises and stories that are not true. Unfortunately the officials in Ohio are not able to punish them yet. We will be involved in litigation for a while. In late April we had an EGR valve issue that the TA mechanics in West Virginia said they couldn't fix and sent us to Fyda Freightliner in Columbus. Knowing now what the repair was we were fortunate to have been sent to Fyda Columbus, which is a 24 hour facility. Our experience with the large industrial repair facility was great! The people were not superficially nice, like you experience at most car dealers, but kind and sincerely interested in resolving our problem. This was also evidenced by the demeanor of truckers some of whom had been waiting several days for expensive parts and never complaining about the facility or staff! Our problem cost $2,500 and took four days. All along the process we knew the status of the repair. I received good value for my repair dollar. I was surprised at the RV labor rate, until I went on board to get something off the RV while it was being repaired. Jeff was stuck under my bed, sitting on my engine, for about 8 hours; miserable conditions don't even begin to describe the scene. Through all of this Jeff maintained good humor. What this also means I got a good repair rather than something hurried and sloppy. Another example of their attitude was the staff explaining to me how to better operate the engine, good to know for a novice RV owner. A couple of things to remember when bringing in your RV: 1. You can continue to live on it while it's there: a. Dump the tanks and fill the water before coming. b. You won't be deploying slides. c. There is no shore power so its 12 volts and/or a generator. Other truckers are staying there during their repairs so you might need a GenTuri to run you generator. d. It can be noisy as trucks are moving in and out around the clock. I found it just fine, but I also like industrial areas. e. They do have a shower and bathroom you can use. f. When your RV goes into the shop you and any animals must be off the RV. 2. Hotels are within a mile or so of the facility if that is more to your liking. To sum up my review; you can go the cheap route at Bob's truck stop or go to Fyda for a repair that is one and done with a warranty good at any Freightliner facility. read more

I took my sprinter for a alignment, I was told that it will be done in 1-1.1/2 day and they will call me that its ready. Week later I went there to pick up my van and they looked at me very questionable no one called you???and my answer way noon one called me. And I asked them is my van ready to pick up? the answer was no your car is nor ready. I asked why ? the answer was that they hooked up machine to van tires and machine told them that struts where bad.i asked them what kind of machine you have that tells you that struts are bad?? They did not show me any papers showing any diagnostic was done and did nothing.no one called telling me that van need new struts. no communication at all.customer service is horrible.They smile at your face when you give them a key to fix a car and promise a golden mountain but once you come back nothing is done. I mean nothing at all.Plus they ask you to pay before you can get your key back, pay for what ? pay for no service done. Worst dealership so far when trying to get a truck serviced. We brought our truck in Saturday early afternoon and was promised by Monday noon we would have our truck back. We travel with 2 mini doxies and we asked if they allow pets in the drivers lounge, and they said yes they do. We have been in and out of the shop/drivers lounge all weekend and never was anything said to us. We took care of our dogs and they didn't make any messes. They barked but we quieted them as best we could. So we're already stressed out because we've now lost 2 loads, and have spent money that we shouldn't have, and have 2 stressed out dogs on top of it. Today we called from the hotel to ask about the truck because we didn't want to sit again all day in the drivers lounge. They said they have orders to have it done by noon. Check out is at 11 so it worked out good. We get over to the dealership and told it would be a little longer than they said. Not happy but we know things happen, so we go and sit in the drivers lounge and this place is busy and people walking by and get the dogs barking. We tried to quiet them but lots of people plus some of the people would stop on the doorway and get the dogs going even excited. So that meant more barking. Then a service desk guys asks one of us to step out in the hall and asked us to quiet our dogs. We can't because you have people coming and going plus idiots that stop and gawk at the dogs. I'm like what are we suppose to do go stand outside in 86° hot humid weather? So I asked for the keys to our truck, which was parked outside for some reason(when they were suppose to be working on it) and the desk guy asked why are you leaving with it? I said no but its outside and it runs and has ac for my dogs. Then you wont have to listen to them bark. They were very rude and not understanding to our predicament. The weekend people were great and very friendly. And did not have issues with the dogs. But the Monday people did. So if you come to this dealership try for the weekend. read more
