The food was excellent. The service was exceptional and very helpful. The establishment was clean and offered outdoor seating.

Lobster Flight with the amazing Ogunquit Fries

We absolutely loved our visit to Food for Thought! Everything was fantastic, from the food and drinks to the atmosphere. We had the Adult Happy Meal and the Lobster Flight, and both were absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back and try other items on their menu! The kids had just as much fun as we did--they spent the afternoon dancing in the grass to the music playing in the background, which made the whole experience even more memorable. It was such a fun, relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Great food, great drinks, great music, and such a fun vibe. We can't wait to come back! Thank you to the amazing staff, who were very attentive and the sweet gentleman who came out and gave all of the kids a toy. These are the gestures that won't be forgotten. We will be back!!

Was super excited to go back here as we visited the original location a number of years ago and loved it. Ended up disappointed when we visited recently and probably wouldn't go back. My drink was fine (pinkity drinkity, their version of the Starbucks pink drink). The tomato soup donut sounded intriguing so my husband and I both got one, but it wasn't great. The donut seemed a little stale and the soup was okay but it was a little sweet and on the thick side even by itself. The cheese was okay. Overall it was just really rich, not as fresh / good as you'd expect, and didn't quite go together. Service was on the slow side, both with the food and waiting for the bill. The parking lot was mostly blocked off for apartment use and there weren't many spots that looked like we were allowed to use, it was crowded. One of the servers kept loudly hurling the contents of all the water cups on the ground (gravel) under the outdoor seating when they were clearing the tables, which I found to be weird and kind of gross or at least not really good manners in a restaurant setting. Like we were sitting there eating and the server was clearing numerous other tables, just chucking the contents of the used water glasses all over the ground. I've never seen anyone do that at a restaurant in my entire life. It was the main turnoff that made me say, won't come here again. Made me wonder if they're that sloppy in the kitchen.

Lobster roll and two donuts with copious amounts of cheese smothered in between hanging delicately over the best tomato soup ever.

STOP... IT!!!! What? This place isn't PACKED every minute they are open? The most creative, delicious food experience in ages! Service was top notch. Drinks are definitely something to write home about... and I did. As soon as I left I texted my friends and said that they would be missing out if they didn't drive 45 mins the wrong way (to get to our camp) and go to eat at this place tomorrow. TAKE THE EXIT! Drive 45 mins the wrong way. Heck, drive an HOUR the wrong way to dine here. Maybe not two hours, I'd hate for them to have an off day (every place has them) on the day that I've told you to drive two hours out of your way;)

We came on a Sunday evening for a quick dinner after checking out their menu online. They had lots of indoor and outdoor seating. There were plenty of tables open so its a good spot for large groups. As we opted to sit outside, it was a bit chilly, I hope they decide to add patio heaters in the future to make it more comfortable for guests dining outside. We ordered the shrimp bang bang and a chicken wrap with two cocktails. Utensils were disposable and water was given as a big glass bottle with plastic cups. The food was good and the cocktails we chose were decent.

It could not have been a prettier day we drove there because of all of the great reviews, even a TikTok video and we were not disappointed. We went for it we got the trio of lobster rolls. One was a classic with mayonnaise and melted butter, the next one had a bacon jam on top, which I have to say it was totally my jam and then the last one was the tajin roll... the acid from the lime flavor and the chili was delicious. We then got the brussels sprouts and if we weren't full, we would've gotten another. My husband got a beer from the brewery right there and really liked it. We even got to talk with the brewmaster as he was working away. I got to try the flight of margaritas and for 24 bucks to get two margaritas worth. It was a lot of fun and delish. I look forward to making this a regular stop when heading up the coast .

Food For Thought had me rethinking my life choices... like why I don't live closer to Cape Neddick! Classic Gastro Pub food--creative, fun, and comforting. The seasonal cocktails deserve their own fan club. Yum! Add in the quirky, playful vibe and you've got a spot that makes eating here feel like an adventure. 10/10 would happily over indulge here again.

Half of the menu wasn't available. Poor service. Seems like the bartender was doing everything. No seafood was available.

We arrived and sat at a picnic table with an umbrella so our pup could be in the shade. We were having a great time, so excited to be there and amped to try their current taps. Just as our apps were being brought out, a gust of wind lifted the umbrella clear out of the table, spilling my wife's drink and sending the heavy metal umbrella pole directly into my face and chest HARD. My wife, the server, and I were all stunned for a moment. Wife thought I was bleeding until we realized it was rust on my face and chest from the pole. Server asked if I was okay, clearly feeling a little awkward, and with my hand to my face I said "I think so? If I'm not bleeding, I guess?, still totally stunned and feeling some pain. Face throbbing, my wife asked for an ice pack, and the server brought us one. We totally understand that it was a freak accident, and that it wasn't our server's fault. But it got awkward from there as the crew working became avoidant. The girl that sat us saw me teary eyed from the pain, holding the ice pack to my face and asked if we were okay... but that was it. The atmosphere quickly became awkward, and considering the pain I was in combined with feeling totally weird from the staff, we asked for a box to take our uneaten food to go. Server brought our check and we were a little surprised to see that we were still charged for the drinks (one of which had spilled because of the umbrella) and the food. We paid cash, still left a nice tip, and left, wanting to get out of the sun and keep an eye on the swelling. We were really disappointed in how the situation was handled by the crew. We weren't looking for our apps to be comped, but it would have been nice for a manager to come by, apologize, offer to refill my wife's beer, and maybe move us to a different table since we were no longer in the shade. The team didn't go around and check the other tables to make sure the umbrellas were safe and secure, either, which was shocking considering what had just happened. We were really looking forward to hanging out, trying a little bit of everything off the menu, buying some cans or growlers to take home... but we left with a swollen, bruised face and chest and an uneaten $90 box of food that we ended up tossing because the mood was completely ruined. We rarely leave a negative review anywhere, but I guess this is just a PSA to check your picnic table umbrella if you sit outside, and hopefully a learning opportunity for management in how to improve customer service and safety for patrons.

No big deal, I was a party of one, and they were quite busy on the Saturday night that I went. Service is impeccable, really no complaints there. The food came out fast, even though they were quite busy. The food was great as well, though I wasn't a particularly big fan of the wood-fired beets (if you like horseradish on beet, you would like them). Fried oysters were great, I mean really good. Spaghetti with guanciale is absolutely incredible; key lime pie similarly amazing. Overall, I'll be back here. Plan to spend at least $50 per person. What a great location.

We understood it would be a limited holiday brunch menu instead of the regular dinner menu, which was fine. However, by the time we sat down to order, almost all of the options were already sold out. Our entire table basically had to order the exact same thing because there was nothing else left. The space is lovely and it's a nice spot for a regular dinner, but they were definitely not equipped for the holiday rush. Don't go for Mother's Day.

Vegan options and of course seafood. It's up there on price both worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating and I believe they bought the building next door with a balcony area but not 100% sure. If we had had more time, I would have also tried the painkillah' with a rum floater. And, honestly, the mocktails sounded great too! Also, their glassware is lovvvveeellly, make sure you pay attention to that! + They've got vegan options: While we didn't order food, I would have loved to have tried the vegan "crabby" cakes with cilantro aioli! -/+ The views are not unbroken: while you'll be able to take in panoramic views of the ocean, they're disrupted by an abundance of black power lines (this is not true if you're sitting in the restaurant, but you will have loads of people lingering on the sidewalk next to you waiting to be seated). Expect it to be VERY busy in the summer! I see myself returning here when it's a wee bit quieter.

We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.
