We were only there 15 minutes, in and out, George is a super friendly guy, we have been coming to him for years u Gil we bought new cars and we didn't new a smog check until the 6th year for one of our cars. I've never had a go-to business when it comes to getting a smog test, but after coming here I know where I'll be going from now on. George is such a wonderful, genuine, and great person that when you come in you'll feel welcomed. He makes conversation with you during the test and makes the process feel so easy and fast. On top of that, it's reasonably priced and you get $5 off if you check in. I don't mind paying the $40 if it means it helps his business continue! In short swing by his place! - Story mode about why you should come here - I had initially gone to George two years prior to today with my old Honda Civic and that's where I was able to fully experience his service. Like above mentioned, it's a quick and good place to get a test. Fast forward to now, I have a new car and lost my mail from the DMV for a renewal. So I wasn't sure if I needed a smog test. I don't know anything about cars, so when I came by I told him I wasn't sure if I need a smog. I said I came by two years ago (but forgot that it was my old car), so we both continued on to make sure I got my smog test. After a few minutes he realizes that my car is 2016 and ripped up the paper he was working on. He told me that cars that are 2012 and before are the ones that needs a test every two years. Since my car is 2016 I don't have to worry until 2022! He didn't charged me for any fees and was so sweet about it. You can tell he cares and will inform you about about anything. The DMV required that I provide smog certification along with my vehicle registration renewal this year. As I searched on yelp, I was impressed by this shop's 5 star reviews and the proximity to my job so I decided to give them a call. I usually get off of work at 5 PM and although the yelp account says the shop closes at 5 PM, I decided to give them a call anyway. George asked me if I was near the shop and I told him I work nearby but got off at 5 PM. He didn't hesitate and responded by telling me that he would wait for me after 5 PM. I arrived around 5:15pm and he greeted me with a warm smile. The service lasted only a few minutes but in the meantime George made sure to make me feel welcome. I told him I worked at the nearby university and he started to talk about his family. I could tell he is a very proud & loving father and I wasn't wrong because when I was about to pay I noticed a "best dad" award.
