In short, I had an accident with my new Toyota Tundra. My insurance company recommended G&C so I figured why not! As it turns out, the whole ordeal could not have gone smoother. I dealt primarily with Chris. As the repairs unfolded, there was substantially more damage than was 1st seen. He kept me informed, dealt directly with the insurance company, and got all of the "extras" approved and installed. My husband was involved in a solo accident driving back home from San Leandro to Suisun City in late January 2021 - during a rainstorm. Thankfully he was safe and had no injuries due to the accident. However, due to the heavy rain, he lost control of his car and hit the center median, which resulted in significant damage to the left front of his car. We called the insurance company the following day to set up a day and time to pick up the vehicle and tow it to the shop. There was some miscommunication initially because I was contacted for the repairs from the insurance company and G & C. After informing them that this wasn't my car, I suggested they call my husband to update him about the vehicle. Nonetheless, working with AJ and his staff has been stellar! AJ communicated with my husband weekly; provided updates about the car, parts they were waiting on, and the unfortunate delays because of Dodge of Concord and their staffing issues that they were facing. My husband was getting antsy because he missed his car, but we could pick up his car on Saturday. My husband was happy to see his other baby and finally drive his other car around. Again, AJ and his team did a fantastic job with the work they did on his car. My husband and I thank you for the outstanding work and communication you provided during this process. Came in under an insurance claim, first time reaching out the shop they called my insurance and said they were not willing to do the work. The manager Chris spoke with me and approved my car to be worked on. Car gets worked on for about a month, picking the car up I tried to use my sunroof and it did not work(this was on my claim) I let the tech at the time know and they noted it and I contacted my Insurance as well and stated the shop would give u a call Monday morning. Payed my deductible and left the shop, I go to use my AC and no cold air? I reach out to my insurance again and they said same thing. Tuesday comes along and I haven't heard from the shop so I reach out to them to figure out what's going on. The manager Chris tells me you will need to wait until I'm back from my vacation (July 7) it's now July 14th and still haven't heard from him. I payed my deductible when my claim items were not finished, came to get the car with more issues than notice before and he ghosted me. Never come here. Chris is a liar. read more

Earlier this month I unfortunately hit a deer with my car and really messed it up. It was pretty traumatizing and the amount of damage to my car was unexpected. Not really something you want to deal with after murdering a deer. I contacted my car insurance, and they put me in touch with g&c autobody, it was perfect because it is five minutes away from my home in Benicia. AJ was very kind and I was able to get an appointment right away. My car was taken in, I got many updates on the progress of my car through text messages , it was finished on the exact day He said it would be done, and when I got my car back, it looked better than it did before I even hit the deer. it looks brand new. 2022 Supra Rear End Collission repair - TOTAL HEADACHES! Nationwide told me about the dropoff process and how pricing worked. Nationwide told me it was a simple dropoff, and I would have to pay deductible if the other party hadn't accepted fault (they already had.) Upon arrival to dropoff, AJ tried to collect $500 deductible up front. I was very quickly put off by his "this is my shop, my policies" statement. I told him I could take my business elsewhere if he didn't want to honor what Nationwide told me. He quickly changed course. My 2022 Toyota Supra was dropped off for a rear end collision it had no codes, and all tires were holding air. It was returned to me with a tire leaking air that was not leaking prior, and a code for an empty key battery. Everyone throwing their hands up saying not their issue. The body work was decent. I was also not supposed to pay a deductible and now have to wait for a reimbursement. Nationwide instantly issued me a check that I now have to wait 15 days for because there was little/no follow up by office staff here. I'm now on my 3rd day of trying to solve the problems this shop has left me with. Toyota is now telling me I have to take my new car to BMW. Every time I get in my car and hear the BMW Gong go off for an issue that wasn't there upon dropoff I feel more and more like this shop has ruined a car I wanted my whole life. There is nothing wrong with the keyfob or battery per Toyota. Now in an endless loop of trying to get this issue fixed. read more

This shop was recommended to me by my insurance carrier (State Farm) following a rear end collision involving my daughter. Working with G & C proved a great experience from the start. "Mack" walked me through the process over the phone, as I was out of state at the time. Never did he mislead me (phony time frames, etc), he just stuck to the facts. Early on, before parts had arrived, he suggested repairs could be expedited if my car was transferred to G & C's sister shop, Klimisch in Vallejo. I agreed and Klimisch did the hands on body work and paint. Ryan Skidmore of Klimisch supervised the job, and the results are excellent. It was refreshing to see two separate offices coordinate so well together. If I should need help in the future (hopefully DISTANT future) G & C will be my first call. read more

My car was hit the other day in front of my house. My rear bumper and tire were damaged beyond repair. I took my car into G & C Auto based on my past experiences with them and all the good reviews online. It didn't start off well! There were delays, the communication wasn't great, and the car was returned to me in less than acceptable condition. Parts were missing, bumper was loose, and the car was just left very dirty. I spoke with the manager AJ about it and he quickly got them fixed and got my car back to me the next day. If it wasn't for his commitment in keeping me as a customer, I would have never gone back to G&C. AJ truly understands the importance of customer service and what it takes to earn repeat customers. This auto body shop was recommend by the insurance paying for my repairs and that should have been a sign. I was hit by another car and their insurance recommended I take my car there for the repairs . Initially everything was going smoothly until they said some of the damage wasn't caused by the accident. The insurance then denied some of my repairs and I still don't have my car back. Don't take you car here if you're working with insurance, they definitely have the insurances back and not yours. read more
