Fast, friendly service. Fixed several issues on my car including brakes for less money than I was quoted at other shops.

My van needed to be smogged. Made and appointment, job only took 30 minutes. Paid, and good to go!

Alex is humble, honest, and someone you immediately recognize as a person of integrity. His years of experience are evident when you see him work, and he's more than willing to share his knowledge and offer advice if you have questions. I reached out to him for an AC compressor service on my daughter's car. He provided a very reasonable quote, was able to complete the job the same day, and used OEM parts as promised. The work was done on time and with great attention to detail. If your vehicle needs service, give Alex a try--you won't regret it. I'll definitely be coming back. Thanks again, Alex, for the excellent experience and great conversation!

I provided the parts and it was agreeable with alex. So i stopped by on a Friday morning and he completed all the requests in less than 1.5 hours as quoted. As I said I had the parts, however the brake kit wasn't what I ordered as they were for the rear brakes and not the front. No worries Alex agreed to obtain the the correct parts and the agreed quote changed but all for the better. Alex did a great job on my car. Will start to take my vehicle here often. Thanks Car Doctor!!!

I had the best experience with Martinez Auto Tech. I needed to do general maintenance for my Subaru…read moreCrosstrek at 60,000 miles. I'd been putting it off because finding the right shop (quality service, fair prices, honest recommendations, and not condescending) is so daunting. I enlisted my Dad who owns a dealership in LA to help me find the right Bay Area auto shop. He took the task very seriously and talked to 5+ shops. When he spoke with Martinez Auto Tech, he could instantly tell they were knowledgeable and they gave feedback on what was and wan't necessary for 60,000 mile service. Their prices beat out other local shops as well. When I dropped the car off they were able to take care of everything in one day (spark plugs, oil change, CVT drain and fill, brake flush, rear and front trans axel fluid) for under $1,000. To top it off they were so kind and happy to answer questions along the way. I never felt uncomfortable, unlikely majority of shops I've been to solo as a woman. 5 days later, our VW Golf died and wouldn't restart. I had it towed to their shop while they were closed over the weekend. I called them Monday morning to see if they could figure out what was going on. They were so accommodating and happy to squeeze me in without an appointment. They figured out it was an issue with the alternator and had the car back and running before the day was over. They didn't even charge me for charging up the car since I had just done my Subaru service. I really appreciate a small, local business that values their customers. This was such an act of kindness that I won't forget. I'll never service my cars elsewhere as long as I live in this area and will always recommend them to anyone - especially if you aren't a car expert and need honest guidance and recommendations. Thank you so much Martinez Auto Tech!

My family member recently brought their car there despite me saying not to and now there are several new issues with her car. On top of the new issues Son filled her tires to 50 psi when it clearly states on the tire and the door it's only supposed to be at 35 psi. I think he's too overworked to really take his time to do a good job. Do yourself a favor and don't go here.
