I contacted this company knowing I needed to have pipes replaced. Shawn had told me they were collapsing. It has now been 4 weeks and no quote. I called a week after quote was told. Last week, I called to request G & C to come out & locate our tank & pump it out. Even though the holidays are right around the corner, they were still able to get me on their schedule right away. The two gals who answered the phones were very professional, friendly, returned my calls immediately, and were very knowledgeable & thorough when explaining the services. They searched the Sac County property records for past permits that had been filed at our address. They communicated with me quickly when the guys on the truck were coming out to our property. The guys on the truck were very nice, respectful of our property, located our tank quickly, & did a great job. I've used G&C for pumping out my septic system with good service throughout. Recently in December we started having a back up issue with our system. Needless to say the roots and age of the system required new pits. We obtained multiple Bids and found G&C to be competeive in the process. Unfortunately this has been an extremely wet year and we're not able to install the required pits until April. This required us to have our tank pumped almost every month through April. G&C worked with us through the process. Once started the team worked with us to answer all of our questions about the project. Once started they were respectful of our property and as non-invasive as you can be with landscaping given the trenching needed to complete the job. Once completed they left the property as I had requested such that any repairs on part were very minimal. The crew was easy to work with and communicated as the project was completed. G&C have an excellent reputation in rural Wilton. As a rental property mamager, they are my go-to for septic. Their fees are competitive and their service is very professional and courteous. They are quick to advise me of any issues which may need to be addressed, such as an invasion of tree roots in a tank or impacted leach line. They have specialists who can address unusual problems like that. I have always been happy over the years with the service to the four tanks on rural properties I manage in the area! Terrible customer service, I called them for an appointment but they could schedule it at that time and said they would call back. Never got a call back, so I called them again a couple weeks later. They didn't have an appointment available for a week so we scheduled the appointment for 3 weeks out. I was told everything is confirmed and we are ready to go The day of the appointment they didn't show when I called they said we have no record of your appointment and they couldn't accommodate me until the following week. I usually hate to write negative reviews but these guys are totally unprofessional. I called them and explained the problem that I'm not sure about the septic tank location since I'm a new owner. I was assured that it's not an issue since they have a gps device. To make a long story short they came 3 times and were not able to do the job cleaning the septic tank. First time the guy came without gps device and just left. Second time, they used gps and located the tank and told me they can not dig it because the grounds are too hard. Then they came the third time with the shovel and left after 10 minutes because it was still too hard for them to dig!! No solution was offered and I have to call the other company who immediately offered me a solution. I would not recommend this company unless you want to waste your time and money. UPDATE to my review from 1/26/2021 Today, one of the owners personally called me and apologized for the negative experience I had with this company. He refunded me money in full (even though I haven't asked for it!) and personally brought a small gift. He also assured me that they have reviewed my complaint and it will never happened again. I was pleasantly surprised with this nice gesture and will give this company another chance in a future! Im running a load of wash when I hear gurgling from the toilets down the hall. My heart stopped and I ran down the haul as visions of overflowing toilets fill my head. Weirdly the toilets were slowly draining I gave a quick call to my dad for any insights as he has more experience with septic issues than myself. He came over and observed the same weird, bubbling toilet action when my washer drained water again. We both headed out behind the house to the clean-out just as water starts to bubble out of it from the draining washing machine. A quick text to our landlord and he had G&C on their way out. Thirty minutes later the truck was here and pulling the lids off the septic. Liquid side looked fine, solid side... well the solid side needed to be pumped but there was also a mass of roots in and around the pipe feeding from the house. It's amazing we didn't have problems sooner with clogged pipes! A second truck was called out that had tools to cut through the roots. They removed the roots, cleaned the septic out spic and span (for a septic tank) and also gave some insight into where the dry wells were located, they were re-dug before I lived here and I wasn't sure where they lay. They pointed out some potential problems with trees near the dry wells and suggested some things to deter roots from causing issues. Before they left they even screwed down the plastic lids over the septic lids that were loose previously. A little added peace of mind when my kids are out and about. I just received a flyer that I'm due for service and it brought up a terrible experience I had with this company. I called for septic pumping and attempted to dig access myself with my two children. I'm a single mother and very strapped for cash. We worked for 2 1/2 days digging the holes. We couldn't quite find the entry but we had no idea how close we were. The technicians came out and had to break ground about two shovel fulls each tank. It took them less than a minute per hole. I was alarmed and dismayed when I got my bill and realized they charged me full price for digging those holes. I tried to call the office to appeal to their humanity and plead my case as a single mother who is barely getting by please not to charge full price especially since we did most of the work already. They stated if we dug we charge full price. I will never do business with this company again and I implore you not to support such cold callousness. I found my original post from my experience. I removed the curse words. I'll be posting this again. I forgot they sent me to collections. This company is evil. G&C Septic Service blows. First, they told me they charge $50 a hole to even get to the septic, so my son and I dug for an entire day but didn't expose the doors completely so they had to dig for less than 10 min and they still charged me $100 extra then the guy said his credit card reader wouldn't work so could I call the office which I tried to do several times to give my credit card info. I left messages, no one ever called me back. Then they send an invoice so I can send a check, I need to pay by credit card, I don't have the money, that's why I asked them if they take credit when I scheduled this. Now they are sending another invoice with finance charges and late charges saying they are sending me to collections. I tried several times to pay them. Including when the guy was here. I hate this business. May they go bankrupt. read more

The driver of the pump truck that came to my house was so rude, and so insolent, that I sent him packing within minutes of his arrival. He wouldn't have dared speak in such a way to a man, because if he had, he would have gotten his teeth knocked in. Unbelievable. Inexcusable. Why would an employee of a service company think that it is perfectly OK to treat a paying customer in such an insolent manner? Apparently he knows that he can behave that way with impunity. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago for pumping and inspection for my home sale. they called and told me they had to change time from 10 to 12 to 3 to 4. then they called at 11:30 to ask about my driveway, needed to know if they had 9' wide by 12' high, nothing was said about this when appointment was made. they waited until a couple hours ahead of appointment. they don't want to scratch their truck. i had to tell them there wasn't, would have been if they told me 3 weeks ago, could have trimmed trees. they then said they would have the driver come out and look but would charge me $150 to do that after i just told them there wasn't. guess they wanted some money for nothing. read more
