Just used G & D for the 1st time, and I am absolutely a customer for life! The work was excellent! And everyone there treated me so well, from my first walk thru their door until I drove my beautifully repaired car off their lot. The repairs took a little longer than expected -- they tried to locate second-hand parts for as many parts as they could, and sometimes you have to wait until a part becomes available. But they saved me $thousands$ by doing that, so the delay was well worth it. (I had a 'back up' vehicle, so I wasn't incurring any rental car charges and could afford to wait.) But I was most impressed by Angela's commitment to quality repairs and safety. The car actually belongs to my 23-year-old daughter. As the repair time frame was delayed, G & D could have slapped the car together, cut some corners, and pushed it out the door just to make her happy. But Angela would not do that. The accident deployed a few airbags, and Angela would not compromise the repair! She insisted that the car be 100% safe in every respect before she would give it back to my daughter. No exception. As a father, I appreciated that tremendously. She also knew that I was paying the repair bill, not an insurance company. Angela generously gave me a discount...AND STUCK TO THEIR ORIGINAL ESTIMATE! No upselling, or "we didn't see this and we didn't see that", as many shops do. G & D couldn't have made much (if any) profit from this job, but Angela was more concerned that I would return to G & D in the future, and would share my great satisfaction with friends. Angela -- you succeeded on both points! I was referred by a friend (and obviously, a happy customer) who had used G & D more than once. And since giving our car to them, as I've mentioned in passing that my car is at G & D, at least 3 more random people have told me of the excellent experience and repairs they have received from G & D and Angela. We have been customers of Angela Danciu and G&D Auto Collision, Inc. for over 25 years and have had nothing but excellent results from their work both with body repairs and mechanical work. I got my GMC Yukon repaired here. Someone did a hit&run in the parkinglot @ my work. I found this place on Yelp and I thought it would be right of me to let others know of my experience @ G&D. This business deserves more that the 5 stars... Great family atomosphere. Angela was a nice lady and business woman who DEFINATELY treated me like family. Her daughter Georgette was very nice as well. She gave me great directions and started my estimate on my quaterpanel & Lift gate. She was very friendly and efficient. After done- she called Angela up to review and see what further discounts she could give me. I really appreciated it, since I didn't want to go through my insurance. Both ladies were very professional and direct. I also appreciated that they searched for aftermarket parts to try to save me money. I went to another bodyshop before G&D to get an estimate, Alliance just down the street, and they were nice also but they were double the price of G&D. And I also felt pressured to go through my insurance. That was not cool. That is why I highly recommend G&D because of my first impression when I got the estimate to final pick up of my SUV, the quality was great and I hate to admit but I'm very picky. Not sure what kinds of people the negative reviewers are, but I am glad I ignored them and went with my gut and read the other MANY good reviews. My brother has had at least 5 classic cars repaired and painted at G&D over several years - Camaro, GTO, etc. When I was involved in 2 accidents in 2006, I asked my brother for Angela's number. I cannot tell you the level of trust she instills in you and stands by every word she says and goes above and beyond the call of duty. She arranged the car rental, and like others have stated, they conveniently pick you up and drop you off. They have actually even driven me back to work in Irvine. Car is always washed and work is impeccable. Each car, my 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS and my 1998 Red Ford Mustang convertible, came out looking like new. The Avalon's entire trunk was smashed in and the top piece along the top of the doors even had to be replaced. All paint matched perfectly with the paint on the doors. Last year I asked if they could do some paint touch up for nicks in the Avalon since it is now 10 years old and I want to keep it looking nice. One of my back doors was no longer locking with the key fob and they replaced the part for me at a reasonable price at the same time. Angela will honestly even talk you out of doing some work if it not immediately necessary, often suggesting you wait until some other work needs to be done. When was the last time you encountered that type of approach at another business?? Her staff is great at troubleshooting too. You will not be disappointed and, if there is any chance you might be, you might just be too darn picky!! read more

Wow, Wow, Wow...All I can say is this company is everything they say. Friendly and family. As soon as I walked in Georgette, the daughter greeted me like I was family and had known me for years. Dropped everything she was doing and focused on me. Walked me through everything I needed to know. I was a little nervous about asking the insurance company to get me a rental car, but before I could even ask her, she called them and had my rental car arranged. She works with her Husband who is also very kind and informative. Georgette's Mom and Dad started the business. When it was time to pick up my car I met the Mom. She waited until 6:50 PM even after they closed until I got their. Their was a problem with the insurance company & cost & they went out of their way to make it work for me. The definitely did not have to do that. The Car looked great. Georgette told me to leave my rental car their and she would arrange for a pick up. I've been to many Auto body shops and this by far is the most I've ever felt like I was the important one. I have never left a review for anything because I just don't want to take the time to write it. I know a lot of people feel the same way, we say we're going to do it but never do. This time, I am making the effort. After stressing big-time ALL WEEK about my limping old work-truck with its broken frame-weld, I finally had a free afternoon to bring it into G&D for an estimate and to make a future appointment. Here it was, already getting late on a Friday afternoon, I had NO APPOINTMENT, but owner Angela took total care of me and my Nissan Frontier. As I sat in the beautiful waiting-room with mellow jazz playing, I noticed some very satisfied customers pay their bill and thank Angela, who gave them a big hug. Then, I started noticing all these "thank-you" letters/cards on the wall, and it was obvious this was no ordinary collision-shop! As I got ready to call my wife, check my calendar and try and arrange a day next week to drop-off the wounded Frontier, G&D's manager showed me the damage and explained how dangerous it would be to drive all the way back to Lake Forest with the broken steering-linkage/frame-weld. He said he would personally "work overtime" to fix it if necessary, but sure enough, by 4 PM I was on my way, after paying the VERY REASONABLE bill (to which I added a grateful tip). If I could give 10 stars, I would. G&D Auto is not only an efficient, cost-effective place to have your car repaired, but it is one of the *nicest places I've been to in the So Cal area*! I live in Los Angeles, but because of Angela's wonderful reputation and genuinely warm and caring personality, I drove the 60 or so miles each way in order to have my car taken care of by Angela and her team. She greeted me every time with a warm smile, hug and a handshake, and she made sure that I was taken care of from the moment I stepped foot in the office to the moment I left, shouting out directions of how I should drive back home. No wonder the reviews here are all 5 stars. G and D Auto Collision is pushing the category to come up with TEN STARS, because that is how good they are. Your car will not come out of this shop unless it is perfect AND THEY KNOW WHAT IS PERFECT. I am very particular and this is the ONLY shop I know of where you can drop your car off and forget about it. This shop is truly the best part of an accident. Really, Angela down there has figured out how to change the customers' accident experience to one that's happy. You will be happy about your car when you pick it up AND with them. I am a repeat customer and refer everyone that needs this service to Angela because my car has continually looked better than even before the accident when I pick it up. Amazing! I got into a car accident on a Sunday afternoon and there was no body shops open in the area. I had to pay for everything out of pocket, and was worried I wasn't going to be able to find a shop that can start getting my car repaired immediately. I went to G & D to see what the damages would cost. Getting a quote from Angela was fun, quick, and she was very helpful in getting me the best economic price for all of the damages. She took out unnecessary expenses- such as the paint and polish for the new bumper, and found me the best deal for all of the damages. They ordered the car parts right away and I had my car repaired and running like brand new in a few days despite that Monday being a holiday. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. I got referred to this place by a friend and I am super happy! I got a great price - nobody else was able to keep up with the price! And on top of it I got the best customer service ever and the car looks GREAT, just like new... I needed some body work done and had to get a rental for a couple days. Angela also took care of getting my windows tinted. I work longer then the office hours so Angela was so nice to wait for me until I get out of work and to pick up my car And it saved me another day of paying the rental car! I really appreciated that! I felt bad that she waited for me so I even got her some chocolates :) So I am super happy with the job, car looks great! Windows are perfect tint as well. I just LOVE it! GND is a great family run business who took my needs into consideration when helping me. Angela and Georgia are super welcoming. I came in for a fender repair. Another shop told me the damage was irreparable and the fender needed to be replaced for $1500 plus labor fees, and that they had no clue whether or not anything beneath the fender would be damaged, and would charge $250 just to look. GND was honest with me about it not being possible that there could be any internal damage, and was honest about the ability to repair the fender instead of replace it for a much better price.
