We lived across the street from this liquor store for a couple years. Under the old management/owner it was an average liquor store, but the new owner has really improved the whole store. They have a great craft beer selection and the make your own six pack option. They have a large assortment of wine and chilled wines ready to drink! They also had a good variety of hard liquor, even the little mini shot sized bottles. I also enjoyed all the different types and flavors of energy drinks he kept stocked. The owner and the rest of the crew that work here are always cool. They have a good variety of beer, Pizza Port Swamis always on deck. Since I'm always in the area, I'll stock up here if I have something going on for the weekend. Yeah, Sometimes they wont have a certain beer I'm looking for and the prices are slightly higher then the big places but I come here to support a local business that treats their customers right. I'm gonna have to disagree with John here and think that G&D is more than just a liquor store and is very customer friendly. I think the vanilla release was held well and John should be happy he got a Bourbon County Vanilla as well as other Bourbon County bottles unlike a lot of people out there who got nothing. Finally a place right by me that I can hunt down craft beer! This place use to be so poorly operated and beat down that I stopped going here a long time ago. I saw it was under new ownership awhile back but was trained to avoid this place. It took me months to finally go in. My LOSS! But I am glad I finally did. SERIOUSLY THE BEST LIQUOR/CONVENIENT STORE EVERRRR!!!!! The staff is soooo chill and they are always friendly and helpful. When you get out of your car you feel like it's a night club cause they have the top 40 bumpin on the speaker system. The owner is reallllly awesome too. I remember when this place used to be a dump when it was 5 12.....like seriously the store was half empty....i remember it being closed down for a while and then it was re opened, and i decided to check it out, mainly because cvs was closed as was stater bros and i just wanted a quick beer. When i walked in, it was bright, fully stocked, clean and THE BEER SELECTION!!!! Different types of craft beers, ipas, you name it. And the liquor and wine selection is on point as well.....i go here for my weekly beer drinking and try to get a new beer each time. Im glad this place is opened and near my house. Hidden Gem! Don't let the exterior "liquor store" appearance fool you. This is not your typical liquor store. ALARMING SELECTION of CRAFT BEER! Excellent/old school customer service! Best part is their walk in refrigerator! Ready to drink! I am an IPA fan & so is the owner. Therefore, the latest & greatest is in here. I highly highly recommend this place. This is my favorite liquor store to come to, no matter which city I'm in I make the drive here. I lived in Orange, Fullerton and La Habra these past 2 years and make an effort to come here just because of the service. They always have good deals on my favorite items like Lavish 2 for $5, $1 shots. They are clean and organized and if they ever run out of something I like, they order it right away. Alan treats you like family, he always has a smile on his face and greets you warmly every time you come in. Great spot nice staff. John and Alan always holdin the fort down. Danny(the owner) is an incredibly nice guy. They have a huge selection of beer, liquor, wine, and spirits. More than any other liquor store in the area. I get a nice vibe walking into g & d, it's very clean, smells clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You have to check out the beer cave!! This review is a little overdue. I've been a fan of G&D for awhile now. The customer service provided by Alan and the rest of the crew has always been friendly. I usually feel intimated walking into a liquor store as a girl, but for some reason I always feel excited to come here. Maybe because I never know what I'm going to find! I usually find that I never leave without less than 2 bottles of something or other. I have to admit that before I came in here I used to go out of my way to find deals on alcohol at Food-4-Less and if I needed something special I would make my way to BevMo. HOWEVER, I have since discovered that this place not only has an awesome selection of alcohol BUT they have pricing that is just as competitive! I was kinda shocked because I was always under the assumption that liquor stores significantly mark up their prices. Another cool thing about this place is Alan. If you can't find a bottle of something then let him know and he will be more than happy to order it for you if he can. Ok so let me start off by saying that I am from Vegas and it was hard for me to expect that I would find a liquor store that was as good as my old one in Vegas called khourys. But to my pleasant surprise G&D liquor delivered with flying colors!! The people that work there are so freaking awesome and nice and the beer selection is on point!! I read an earlier yelp review by some guy that gave them 1 star..... Well that guy is super dumb because I don't care how bad I wanted a beer they said they had or didn't have. They have so much too choose from it is amazing and you can always find a very good if not better option then what one might be looking for! They have a beer cave not including what they have in the coolers along the walls. They also have that New York Seltzer soda that I love so that is always a plus. No matter if I want cigs, awesome beer or just a nice quick chat, G&D liquor is what's up. They make it hard to want to go anywhere else! If you are down with great beer selection and even greater service (Alan is the best) there is no other option than G&D!! Do yourself a favor and check them out! They deserve your business! read more
