Manon is a Thai restaurant in Fullerton that faces the street, though it's easy to miss if you're not looking closely. Despite being relatively new in the community, it has already built quite a crowd. We finally stopped by for dinner and ended up waiting about 39 minutes for a table a couple tables were reserved and not enough staff to clean some empty tables. The area is very tight as the restaurant is trying to squeeze in as many tables as possible. The entrance has a shelf that sells local Thai treats. Even with the crowd, the staff worked hard to quickly accommodate the crowd. Once we were seated, service moved fast and efficiently. The servers quickly take your orders so don't browse the menu too long, as they moved so quickly that it was best to order everything you needed at once because you might not see them again until it was time for the bill. read more

If your craving Thai food and in the Yorba Linda/fullerton area. This is a great place for Thai food. I usually go to get Thai food in garden grove, but this place satisfy my Thai cravings. Pulling up to this spot, the front parking lot area is limited but there is plenty behind the plaza. Service: waiters our attentive and give good recommendation. I came around 12:30pm and it was busy. We got our first dish 15 minutes after we ordered. I wish they were able to get it all out within each other since we had 4 people in our party. Manon was delicious!! I am satisfied my Thai food craving right away . We came about an hour before closing after a game, and we were lucky enough to be seated immediately and get our food quickly. The staff was so sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better. The inside is also super cute, with lots of little trinkets and snacks that add to the vibe. We were so hyped to come here. My family loves Thai food so we always look forward to good Thai spots and this was on the list. We came on a Wed evening right before the evening rush. There was ample parking. The staff seated us right away and we're very friendly! The place is cute! We tried their Thai tea flight. Overall, it was just ok. There were 2 milky ones and 2 fruity ones. The milky ones were the only ones we liked. We ordered a pork belly with Chinese broccoli, pad see ew, crab fried rice and a fried fish dish. The pork belly in the dish was not crispy. The pad see ew wasn't very flavorful. The crab fried rice came late and wasn't very crabby. The best thing we had was the fried fish with lemon grass. I ordered takeout, so I can't comment on the dine-in experience. I got a few orders of pad see ew and the portion sizes were solid. Hm I have mixed feelings about this place now. I came back a second time but with my pops after telling him how tasty the food was. We both enjoyed the food but the service was lacking. I get that they are busy but that's no excuse for subpar service. I came around 520 to get a table for 2. I walked in with one small table left and was sat soon and water after. When I asked for 2 more minutes before I order, I wasn't helped until another 10 minutes. My dad came right when I was ordering drinks and they were out of any creamy based teas even though they weren't closed until another 3+ hours. I ended up getting a coke and the waiter didn't even bother asking what my dad wanted to drink so I called her back immediately. Im sorry, but im not waiting another 10 minutes just to order again. Although we ordered 2 coke drinks, they brought out only one coke, so we gave a reminder. While we waited, we asked to be moved to a bigger table because of the amount of food we ordered and eventually we were moved. The tom yum soup came out and even though I asked for seafood, they gave us shrimp only so we returned it. When the soup returned, we asked twice for our rice bowl and it took a total of 20 minutes for a bowl of rice. Around 630 our final items came out which was the grilled squid and morning glory. 2 male workers came by and apologized for the delay and treated us to desserts, which was appreciated. However, after that we also had a laos style papaya salad takeout for my dad's friend. I opened it to check it and saw that they gave one bit of salty crab meanwhile the table next to us who ordered the same salad got many pieces from what I saw. That's just annoying given the salad was over $15. They probably were running out of the crab and had one claw piece left and added it to the salad and called it a day or did it for whatever reason. Either way, it reflects poorly on the business. If it wasn't for my dad being apprehensive, I wouldnt have mind saying something. Got the Khao Soi and Broccoli stir fried to share!! I looooove khao soi and this one definitely didn't disappoint. The broth was a perfect thickness-- good curry sauce to soup ratio :) There was also a decent amount of chicken, cooked perfectly might I add. The Broccoli stir fried comes with rice and choice of protein as well, but we opted out of the protein option. They are always doing the wrong things to make waits longer. People are waiting to be seated while they know their tables are set up for 20-30minutes. Seat the people first. Doing your water rounds for customers while no one is asking for water or cleaning the counter behind the bar can all wait 30seconds to a minute. Your food is excellent. Wow! What a fantastic Thai restaurant! We were on the waitlist on a crowded Mother's Day. The line was already outside the restaurant before they opened. We decided to wait it out because we jumped from 4th to 1st pretty quickly. Then we were told it would be about 1 hr to get seated. I asked if that applied to me being 1st in line and she said she could seat us, but it will take longer than usual due to the reservations and to go orders already in the queue. We decided to take our chances and were so happy we did. Our dishes were so flavorful and REAL. This is not tourist Thai food. They use the fish sauce, curry and spices liberally. Delicious!!! Personally, the pad thai is surprisingly not the best BUT, everything else I've tried has been extremely flavorful. Food came out pretty quickly. - Penang Nuer (Beef stew): flavor was good but the beef is over cooked and had a livery texture - Grilled Prok Jowl: soft and flavorful not dry at all. Dipping sauce is on point - Naem Khao Tod (crispy fermented park rice salad): flavor was good but the rice was not crispy at all. Was clumpy and mushy. Would not order this again unless it was crunchy. - Chicken Satay: flavor was good and the chicken was tender - Hot green tea is served in a teabag and not fresh tea leaves All in all, I will give it another try but will only reorder the pork jowl and chicken satay again.i will try other dishes next time and update my review. The space is minimal, clean, and calm. Japandi furniture, neutral tones, and ambient music sets low-key but elevated vibes. While everything we had was solid, the standouts (for all six of us) were the Crab Fried Rice (my personal go-to) and the Moo Ping / Pork Skewers, which were perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. We really liked the chef specials like the pork leg stew and the prawns with glass noodles. We wanted to reorder the pork leg stew the second time we went but they were sold out so we need to call in advance next time. The leng saap soup was interesting because it was a little spicy and a little sour which I personally liked but my family was not the biggest fan. The morning glory was a bit salty which is probably why it comes with a bowl of rice and you can add crispy pork to it for an extra charge. The tom kha was delicious, it was creamy and had mushrooms and tomatoes with chicken. The papaya salad was new to me, since it was Lao style, it had more flavor of crab. I wasn't used to it, and personally didn't enjoy it as much a regular papaya salad. The mango sticky rice was perfect, had the perfect amount of coconut milk and sticky rice for the mango. The service is great, the workers are very attentive and check in enough to see how you're doing. We came in around dinner time with no reservation a they were able to sit us within 5 minutes. The food also came out in a timely manner after we ordered it. It's very clean inside and it kind of reminds me of a tea shop, with light wood being their main theme. This place was recommended to me by my Thai clients so my expectation was high. To be fair I gave it 3 visits before posting my review. The results were somewhat mixed. Laos salad: this one stayed true to spicy Laos taste and the salted crabs were better than other places. Pork jerky: very overly dried and tough. Kind of makes me miss the one at Chaba Thai in Cypress. Roti curry: the flaky bread was fried but I didn't expect it to be so oily. Couple bites and I was done. Spicy fried rice: probably one of the better dishes I had from here. The rice was flavorful and moist. Pad see ew: the chef used so much oil so the noodles were glistening. Both the fried rice and noodles were on the sweet side as dishes from central Thailand wound be. Crispy pork with chili and salt: salty crispy pork. This one went well with steamed rice. Tom yum: nothing memorable There were some other dishes that I tried but I can't remember. Service was always efficient and the ambiance was not overly noisy so that's a plus. Would I be back?
