At my previous apartment, we stayed for a while to make sure everything was going smoothly before driving to our new place. When we left, the crew appeared to have already moved the majority of our belongings out. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to the new apartment, plus another 20 minutes to get settled and make sure our cat was safe. An hour after we had left, I received a call saying they had just finished loading the truck and were only then heading to our new apartment. Given how much had already been completed before we left, that timeline didn't make sense to me and left me questioning how efficiently the remaining work was being done. Another frustrating part of the experience was that, at both the pickup and delivery locations, the movers repeatedly asked me where they should park the moving truck. I don't drive commercial moving trucks, and I hired professionals because I expected them to know how to handle those logistics. I was also told that if they received a parking ticket, I would be responsible for paying it, which I found unreasonable. Once they arrived at the new apartment, the pace continued to feel unnecessarily slow. There were multiple trips carrying only one or two small items at a time. Eventually, my partner and I started helping unload our own belongings because we wanted to get the move finished. We also noticed several bathroom breaks throughout the job, which only added to the feeling that the process was taking much longer than necessary. The final interaction left a bad impression as well. I fully intended to leave a tip for good service, but before I even had the chance, one of the movers repeatedly asked for cash after I had already explained that I didn't have any. Being pressured for a tip at the end of an already disappointing experience felt unprofessional. Moving is already stressful, and I hired professionals hoping to make the day easier. Instead, I left feeling that the job took much longer than it should have, communication was poor, and the overall experience did not justify the cost. They somehow managed to do it safely without damaging the walls, floors, or furniture. I was honestly amazed watching them work. What stood out most was their attitude throughout the entire process. Even when delays and complications came up outside of their control, they stayed calm, solution-oriented, and hardworking the entire day. I almost wished they would take longer breaks because of how nonstop they worked. They were also very transparent about pricing, which was fair, and communication throughout the process was excellent. From the first inquiry and quote to the booking and moving day, the entire process was great. There are follow-up emails, a personal link to the quote with the contract and a breakdown of all costs and the "fine print" is easy to follow and understand. No scamming or surprise charges. You get a call the day before from the dispatch confirming your move and the movers call you on the day when they're on their way to give you a more accurate ETA. Kay was friendly and a total professional. She explained everything really well and answered all my questions. Tons of value for a long distance move (Palm Springs to Los Angeles area). The move was for my 89-year-old mom and Kay made me feel secure and confident about the service. The two men that showed up on moving day were rockstars. I feel like a jerk for not writing down their names. They were so nice and went above and beyond to help me get my mom settled in. They were so nice to my mom. I can't say enough good things because this was one of the easiest moves I've ever experienced.
