Miguel knows this place like the back of his hand and is always very friendly and courteous. He truly cares about the customers and makes you feel welcome. In my many years of working with Westchester Self Storage, they have always answered my question/emails, and pay attention to the little details. Like for example. I rented a van today and Miguel made sure I got the one that was closest to my locker. So nice that he thinks of little things like this but it's not such a "little thing" when something like this prevents having to carry heavy boxes an extra few feet! This is my go-to for Uhaul trucks. Beyond that, it's more about the customer service. Miguel has been so helpful. I just came back yesterday for another rental, about a year later and still same great service :) It's straightforward, comfortable, honest service which I really appreciate. Nothing over the top which I prefer, nothing fake or "salesy" just easy and honest. Easy to give this place a recommendation when looking to rent trucks/moving supplies. I had to update my review after what happened today. I went by to check on mail and the person working knew my box # and handed me the mail. I was parked outside determining what garbage was and what I keep when the person working inside came out to my car. I rolled down my car window and he handed me another piece of mail saying 'This just came right after you left.' I mean come on now where do you get friendly service like? Answer, nowhere. This place has earned my business for an extended period of time and this was just the icing on the cake. read more

Not impressed by the "customer service" some others have raved about. I came close to closing time and couldn't find their office that was in the back of the warehouse. I found it and they refuse to take 2 min to show me the storage space even though I drove 30 min to get there. It was still before 6p and would only have taken a quick minute to see the room but a female in the back made it very clear she was leaving and could care less. I'm going to check out the Extra storage company down the street. I won't be renting with them. read more

I almost had a heart attack when I realized the driver's side door closed when I stepped out to take a picture of the cargo area upon returning the truck... but the woman in the office was very polite and friendly... made a phone call and assured me that it was ok and that it wasn't an issue. Review for their U-Haul rental service. I've had to utilize their service multiple times for renting a U-Haul. It's a small business, right around from the infamous Randy's Donuts. They really have great customer service - it always goes a long way with me for a business to treat you like family friends and that's what these guys do. I've never had any issue with them from booking, truck cleanliness and quality, etc. The only reason I dock one star is because of the lack of inventory - makes it difficult to schedule a pick up if they don't have the right truck in stock. read more

Westchester Storage is the worst storage company to work with. They are rude, and do not care about their customers at all. Had my payment set to auto pay, they didn't inform me that the card didn't go through (card was replaced due to being compromised). So instead, they charged me late fees and refused to take it off. The management was very rude on the phone despite me paying online with her on the phone. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

Completely unprofessional. Had an appointment for a UHaul truck at 11AM, and attendant was gone and had locked the place up with a sign saying she was out and please wait. Arrived back 45 min later. Ended up missing a time slot to pick up merchandise. No apology or acknowledgment that she had been away from her job or the fact that they made my rental a waste of time. read more

Best customer service! This place is a diamond in the rough because of the 2 men behind the counter (and, of course, Sal!). We needed a truck rental and a temporary storage unit ASAP, and the guys working in the office turned our horrible day into a great one. Faith in humanity restored! The place looks rough on the outside (as storage facilities often do), but our stuff was secure, and it was so convenient to check out/return the Uhaul. This review is for their UHaul Truck Rental. I made a reservation on the UHaul site on a Thursday to pick up a truck on a Sunday. I got there Sunday and Miguel was very helpful and thorough! I was worred about the store closing at 6:00 pm but he let me know they allowed late dropoff and would email the final bill. I was also concerned about existing damage on the truck (The truck was not overly damaged, but like any rental I just wanted to make sure I didn't get dinged for something I didn't do!) but he went through everything thoroughly with me and marked all of the existing dents, etc. It took no time at all for me to get the truck and get moving. I returned it that night and again, the process was super simple. I was emailed a final bill within the hour and everything was as advertised. read more
