Daughters dress getting fitted to be altered and hemmed.
Jaybee M.

I've been coming to G & G tailors for over 10 years and have trusted Sal and his father with confidence with my items. Sal is great to communicate with and provides a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all ages. If you're looking for TOP QUALITY work this is the place you want to come to. If you're shopping around trying to find a "better bargain", remember that you get what you pay for... don't risk ruining something by saving a couple of bucks. Thank you Sal / G & G Tailors for always being there for us to rely on.

I was grateful to find G&G Tailors on Yelp when I was in a race against time to have my daughter's prom dress altered. Sal was not only extremely knowledgeable, he was very nice and accommodating. Thanks to him, my daughter's dress was prom ready and looked amazing! Definitely will be back and recommend G&G Tailors to everyone! Thank you Sal!

This is the coat sal altered. The sleeves were way to long for me.

This place was recommended by my co worker. I was in need of a last minute alteration and Sal took care of me. He's friendly, great rates and he thought me how to properly put on the coat I brought in . I will be taking all my future clothing pieces here! The place is clean, great parking in the back and there's a coffee shop few doors down. Win win Thank you so much sal!

This is how it looked when I took it out of the closet, untouched just dusty.

It feels awful to leave a review like this but I need to share this in case it could happen to someone else. When we first got there it was mainly for a pair of pants (tuxedo), too big and too long so we decided to swing by. The place is very clean and organized, it gives you really nice vibes so did the owner when he greeted us. He did an amazing job with the pants and gave us advise on how the pants would look better and what accessories to wear them with. We brought the jacket with us to match the pants and the tailor noticed it was dusty. Yes, the jacket had been in the closet for 3 years, my husband had worn it only once but it was in perfect condition, almost as new just dusty. He proceeded to explain that we should be aware of where to take the jacket to get it cleaned and do some conditioning on it, he told us about the products that should be used and showed us how to do it since the material was delicate. He offered to do it and we decided to leave it in his hands since he sounded like he knew what to do. Days later my husband picked it up and told me that the collar had some little LITTLE scratches, I didn't check it since he said little. Next day when packing everything for our trip and his sisters wedding I took a look at the jacket, I wanted to cry. The collar was completely ruined, not at all in the same condition as we had left it. With just hours to head to the airport we decided to take it anyways since we had no choice. While wearing it on the day of the wedding the material started to come off so badly that it started to stain the shirt. We had a photoshoot scheduled and we missed it because we had to go pick up another jacket at a friends house that luckily had the same measurements as my husband. We were upset, embarrassed, sad, so many bad feelings on my sister in laws wedding!!! I messaged the tailor telling him what had happened and asking for his help to get it fix once back home. There was no apology, no acknowledgment at all about the damage done and it was as if he was blaming everything on us. After the wedding I did as he said and contacted other tailor, one that works with celebrities and many brides and grooms, he told me that whoever worked on the jacket was completely careless and it was heartbreaking to see such damage but it could be fixed. I wasn't looking for a refund nor compensation for the jacket, I was looking for help! I asked him to help me fix it in any way he could and he would just say he couldn't fix it, he wouldn't fix it, "what do you want me to say?", denying any damage done to the jacket, saying it was brought like that to him. This was the worst part, denial and not owning up to what he had done. Last message was just "stop texting me, come to the store", what for? Jacket is not here and won't be fixed, we left it with the other tailor to get it fixed. I guess if a basic alteration is what you need I totally recommend this place, you won't regret it, really and honestly he'll do a great job; but if it's a delicate material or piece of clothing that needs extra care I'd recommend somewhere else. Update after owner replied: Obviously I can't give a pic of the before anymore, you knew very well the condition of the jacket when we left it to you, you were the one recommending to have it only cleaned because the jacket was almost new, as you said: it only needs a brush and the dust will be off. We never ever requested for any alteration, fix or change to the collar nor the jacket, just the cleaning and that is why it was $10. Don't try to change the scenario, we left it only for a clean, it was returned damaged and then I reached to you for help, you only turned us down. Also, you may check your cameras, I was there every single time with my husband in your store, he checked with me on every single thing you recommended to do, I WAS there the day of the pick up in the car waiting outside since there was no parking space available and didn't check the jacket because I trusted you, we trusted you and this is how you paid us. This is just absurd, to deny and not own to your mistakes is one thing but to lie and try to change the story? Try to blame the customer however you can to cover your mistakes? Wow, people beware.

Being petite requires that most clothes be altered to fit properly. I started going to G & G about 10 years ago when Sal's father was the main person I dealt with. I appreciated the quality of work, timeliness and fair prices. Sal took over a few years ago and has recently remodeled and expanded the shop. The shop is very welcoming and the expansion has allowed for two changing rooms and an area for customers to relax. Sal is the ultimate professional and he honors his father's legacy by providing quality service at a fair price. G & G is highly recommended by my entire family.

When I bought one of my gowns from Luv Bridal and saw Dantella listed as a recommended alterations shop, I immediately knew they were the only place I trusted. Shayma even remembered me from my past visits, which meant so much. It felt so special to come back and show her my wedding dresses -- like a full-circle moment. I remember telling her it was finally my turn to have my own wedding gown altered by her. I had complete confidence she would make both dresses even more perfect, and she absolutely did. The quality of their work is incredible, everything was completed on time, and their pricing was very reasonable -- especially for wedding gowns. They even carefully packed my dresses into my carry-on since I was flying to Florida for my Disney Cruise Line wedding, which shows how much they truly care about their clients. Thanks to Dantella, I felt like an absolute Disney princess on my wedding day. I received so many compliments and felt so beautiful and confident. I'm beyond grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and talent. I will continue to trust them with all my alterations in the future. Thank you so much to the entire Dantella team for helping make my day so magical!

I reached out via Yelp for availability and received a quick response. Headed over the same day, tried on the dress so she could mark where it needed to get shortened. I recommend checking this place out for alterations. The only con is that it's street parking and people speed around that area making it a bit challenging to get in and out of your vehicle.

I had read the reviews before going to her, so I was aware of Coco delivering a day late on alterations. I went in on June 18th to get my dress altered, and Coco told me to come in on July 2nd to pick up my dress. On July 2nd, I actually called her beforehand to confirm that my dress would be ready. She asked me for my dress color and then said to come by any time before 5pm. My dress was not ready. I drove over, and Coco told me that she was still working on my dress. She also mentioned that the person who usually steams all the finished pieces had already left for the day, so she needed an additional day. I was fine with her needing extra time, but I wish she had said that over the phone before I made the drive. I thought that was inconsiderate, especially since I had already been proactive about calling beforehand to confirm that the dress could be picked up. Nonetheless, the alterations turned out nicely. The hem of the dress worked beautifully with the heels I chose, and the tightened shoulder seams made the dress fit much nicer. I felt so confident wearing this dress at my friend's wedding. The hem and shoulder seam adjustments totaled $80. I don't have a frame of reference for the average cost of alterations for formal attire, so I can't tell if it was reasonable. I would definitely recommend getting your clothes in earlier rather than later to accommodate for any potential delays.
