I just had the transmission fluid flushed and changed along with the filter. The guys were meticulous with the work they did. The work took longer then they or I expected. They explained why it took longer and only charged me what their job program called for. Even though it took about 2 hours more to do the job. I will defiantly be using them again. These guys are amazing!!! I only have basic mechanical knowledge but they explain things to me and answer any questions I have. I went to them for tires back in 2021 and they have been great. They even tell me what my car really needs. They are not trying to just get money out of me. I moved away so I went to a place down the road from my new house starting a year ago. What a mess. Thankfully I decided to just drive the extra to get their opinion because trusted them more than the new place. They figured out what was really wrong with my car. They care about their customer's safety first. They are now the only place I'm taking my baby to. I don't care how long the drive is. I trust them completely! Not only did Partner Tire answer the phone, but they scheduled an appointment for us to be there in 45 minutes. Had huge nail in tire which they fixed within an hour. Been a Partner Tire customer for years. After my last experience there. Never again! Took my son's car in for a state inspection. The vehicle is only 4 years old with under 28,000 miles. Was told by the garage the vehicle won't pass inspection due to rust on the brake rotors. I left the garage, but was unaware inspection stations will charge you their price for inspection fail or pass. I questioned their examination of the brakes since they did not take off a wheel to show the Brake Rotors looking directly at them. I took the vehicle for a 2nd opinion. Keep in mind, the brakes stop quick, stop straight, stop without any metal to metal grinding, nor any Brake Shudder. On the other shop's lift, the mechanic and myself found no issues at all with the brakes. Rotor and Pad life was still greater than 50%. Called Partner Tire to tell them what I learned. One thing you never do is assume all your customers know nothing about cars. Another thing you NEVER do, is question the opinion of a mechanic with 40+ years experience who has READ the state inspection manual. From there, the conversation with Partner Tire deteriorated. Got the vehicle inspected at another inspection station. No problem. Final point. Vermont's vehicle inspection system is a total JOKE. The way they have it setup, it opens to door for unreliable testing and interpretation of the inspection laws. In my case, it would have amounted to $1000 of new Brake Rotors and pads for brakes that did NOT need replacing. read more

I recently found out that one of my tires had a plug in it and thought Partner Tire had done it without my consent. After some research on their end, it was clear that they were not the tire center that had sold me the plugged tires. Partner Tire fixed the tire with a more sustainable solution and did not charge me anything! Not only did they continue to work with me, but they were courteous and wanted to be sure that the tire was safe for me, all free of charge! My husband and I were in the area for the weekend from out of town, and we were bummin' when the starter on my Subaru went at 10 PM on Friday night in a public parking lot. I had it towed to the Subaru dealer, who told me the next morning they wouldn't be able to tell me until 2 PM whether they'd be able to even look at it that day. We weren't optimistic in finding someone who could make time for us on a Saturday morning, and many folks turned us down, but Jason and the rest of their crew saved the day and offered to squeeze us in. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Partner Tire. I've taken my vehicles here for 5+ years - primarily for winter tire changeovers. I've purchased at least 3 sets of tires here. My most recent experience in May when I did my winter to summer tire changeover. My vehicle has wheel locks which require a special adapter to remove - this has always been kept in my glovebox. After my Partner Tire appointment, I had the car at another shop for front shock replacement. After dropping the car off there, I received a phone call because they couldn't find the wheel lock adapter. I called Partner tire to inquire about this adapter and their response was "We always put the adapter back where we found it. The other garage must have lost it. But give us a call back if they can't find it." This isn't exactly the best customer service response. I had the other garage double check and they couldn't find it, so I called Partner Tire again and they had a guy go look for it. They couldn't find it and suggested I call back to see if turned up later. A week goes by - still no sign of the adapter so I call up Partner Tire and surprise - they found an unidentified adapter and have it at the desk so I can stop by and get it. (Maybe they should deliver it for the hassle they've caused?) A few days later, my TPMS light came on so I checked the tire pressure all around and the tire pressure (cold) varied by as much as 10 psi! All 4 should have been 32 psi per my door panel. On top of that, 2 of the valve stem caps were missing. As a result, I will no longer be taking my vehicles to Partner Tire for service and I will certainly not be recommending them to family or friends. Use them at your own risk. read more

Back in March, I took my car in to a different shop after it had been running rough for a couple months. Told the front desk guy what was going on. This place had my car all day, and called me at the end of the day to say they didn't know what was wrong with it. They said that on their test drive they couldn't get it to do any of the things I said it was doing. When I went to pick it up, the mechanic who had worked on my car was there. I told him the same thing I had told the front desk guy about what my car was doing. The mechanic's response was, "If I had known that I would have checked x." Super frustrating, as the car continued to do all the same things after I got it back. I didn't know where else to take it, so I kept driving it, until a couple weeks ago when it started turning itself off while idling. A coworker recommended Partner Tire & Service, I brought it there, and about 20 minutes later they called me to tell me what was wrong with it. Took my car here for everything...until they overfilled my car with oil during a routine oil change. When I brought it back to them saying it smelled like burning, they changed my air filter and sent me on my way with my car still overfilled with oil. Needless to say, my car suffered irreparable damage. I was offered no documentation of their "fixing the oil change," nor was I offered a refund for the oil change that wasn't done correctly. I had to request both those things. On top of all that, they did further damage to my car when they cleaned the engine in a half-assed attempt at rectifying their giant fuckup. My car has never driven the same since being flooded with oil, and the REALLY great part, is that every single fix they ever did on my car ended up needing to be redone by a different shop before a year was up. So, if you want to pay twice for everything, and take your car to a place that can't do a successful oil change after being in business since the 80s, then this is the crooked shop for you! After many years of good service from Partner Tire, I was told on my last visit that I had $1400 worth of work needed on my car or it would not pass inspection. The service Representative advised that one of my struts was leaking oil, which showed that it was failing. When I checked my service records, I saw that Partner had done the exact same service on my car 4 years and 24000 miles earlier. According to industry standards, the replacement struts and control arms should have lasted 40000 to 50000 miles, not 24000. This made me wonder if the service was really necessary. I went to another independent service center for a second opinion. The verdict: the second service center saw no need for the recommended work. They even took pictures of the struts to prove that they weren't leaking (as I had been told at Partner). For this reason, I won't be going back to Partner Tire. I don't know why I was told that this work had to be done, nor why I was threatened with not passing inspection if it wasn't. I am very disappointed in Partner and have totally lost confidence in them. read more

I Woke up to discover a flat tire. I was visiting family from out of town and had to leave in a few hours. I wasn't sure what to do. I went to partner tire and Jason at the front was extremely helpful. He told me that my stem and sensor are broken in my tire and that it could be fixed either inexpensively or expensively. Of course, I chose the inexpensive version, a four dollar stem with what I would assume the cost of labor should set me back about $60 or $70 since they worked on it for about a half an hour. When I went to check out, Jason told me that I was good to go, no charge. He told me for a four dollar part he would prefer just to let me get back home to my family. I thanked him and shook his hand and told him I would be leaving a positive review and telling everyone what a great job they did. Also while I was there, there were two other customers being helped and with each one they were presented the least expensive option and money saving choices which they chose. Great service! I was visiting UVM for a college tour, coming from MA, and in trying to fill my tire with air, I broke the stem off the tire. They squeezed me in even though they were busy so I wouldn't have to travel back to MA on a donut. They even accommodated me with temporary transportation so my son wouldn't miss the college tour.
