Being a single female was other another concern, had issues in the past with another mechanic so I didn't know where to turn. In a follow-up to a lousy review I gave Ford of Upland for the crappy (highly overpriced) service they gave me recently, my experience with G-Tech was the opposite. Manager Jason was clear and professional from the start. I asked them to check out the oil leak Ford supposedly found, and the closest thing to a leak was the oil splashed around when Ford didn't mop up after doing an oil change. And G-Tech didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee. I decided to have them review a previous estimate from Ford for suspension work to the tune of $3800. After another free evaluation, Jason not only told me half the work was unnecessary (and the other half optional), but he took me into the shop, under the car, and showed me what it all meant. I decided to go for the optional work at half the price, and I'm glad I did because my snappy little T-bird is riding so smoothly. By the way, Ford had also charged me $200+ to swap out some taillights that a friend had installed that were wrong for my car and set off the warning light. But they didn't bother to reset the warning light, so Jason took care of that, too. Highest regard for G-Tech! I first went to G-Tech because I wasn't happy with the shop I went to first. Best decision I've made in a long time. From the time I walked in they made me feel welcome. The owner is such a nice lady and her mechanic Jim is just as nice as well as a great tech. My truck is a 1988 F150 4x4 and they have my baby running awesome. And if that's not enough for you, their prices are very low compared to other shops. The first shop I went to, told me I needed to replace my transmission. Just awesome! I drove from Vegas to Upland and when I got there I noticed that my engine light came on, so I looked on Yelp for a good auto repair shop to have this looked into. Found G Tech with 5 star reviews and so I called them. The person on the phone was very understanding as I explained my situation and said that they will check my car as soon as I got there. According to the directions it was just a 2 min drive and as soon as I got there Jason left the car he was working on to diagnose my car. He checked the code and said it pointed to the turbo charger issue but he will have to look further to see what exactly is the issue. I explained to him that I had drive back to Vegas so will it make to Vegas without breaking down. He said that he has cleared the code and to drive car for about 20 mins to see if the engine light come back as the car was driving fine and if it does to come back otherwise it could be a false error. I drove the car for 30 mins and the car drove fine without the engine light coming back on so I drove back to Vegas. Long story short I made it back to Vegas without any incident all thanks to Jason and the best part is that he had told me on phone that they charge a diagnostic fee but after he checked my car he did not charge me any fee. I am so very grateful to Jason and the team from G Tech for their great service. If I lived in that town I would only go them for any of my car repair needs. HIGHLY Recommend! read more

I am so disappointed and almost saddened with my experience at G-Tech today. My husband and I are prior customers of G-Tech having taken our pick-up there numerous times and always had a good experience. I purchased a used vehicle a few months back and am starting to experience some issues with it. I stopped in on Tuesday after work and as per usual was greeted right away, had a short conversation about the problem and scheduled a time the following Thursday to check out the problem. Thursday after work I make my appointment time, get out and the manager and another employee are talking with another customer, that's fine, I wait. After a few minutes, I'm addressed with "it'll be a minute" at which I respond with an "ok, I'll just wait up here" motioning toward the lobby area. I first waited outside in the sun, but after working in the sun all day, I was looking for shade and decided to move to the lobby, but it was still quite warm in there as well. I got up twice to look where the employees were, once still with the customer and once I don't know where. After 30 minutes, I had enough. I thought about rescheduling but decided that if they couldn't be courteous enough to communicate with me on the delay or show any respect to my time, then they didn't need my business. As I walked toward my vehicle, the employee did see me and did not address me at all. I got in my vehicle and left. G-Tech let me down. Had someone addressed me "in a minute" to let me know about the delay I would've gladly rescheduled. I'm not an unreasonable person and understand that things do come up in a work day. But instead I was left to feel ignored and that my business was not important. All it takes is one showing of poor customer service for a business to lose customers. G-Tech just lost one. read more

Staff was extremely friendly and kept me updated. The work itself took short of three hours but they only charged me for two hours labor. My car started stalling like a misfire and the engine light went on but because it was 4:45 I decided to called G-Tech and asked if they could check the car the next morning at 8am. Well to my surprise the engine light was not on nor was the car stalling at all like if nothing happen the day before but I still took it to Jason and he put the machine on it to get a code to see what coil could be misfiring and because my car was not indicating a problem it came back with not codes on the reading. I still wanted to change the coils but Jason advised me to wait to see what coil was out since this repair is a little expensive and said to take it back to him if it started stalling again so he can put the machine on. He was so professional and I felt like he was not out to rip me off and I will be taking my car back to him the minute it acts up again!!! Great experience in dealing with auto shops. read more

Before stopping at G-tech I ask a competitor for help and got such a run-a-round and such a high hourly rate that I was afraid I would be price gouged. Such a different experience upon meeting G. 2 years later, and i feel the need to update my review... 5 stars still, if i could give more stars than that i would. it's the same owner from the last owner change..and business is still the same, honest business. she has managed to hire people with the same ethics. the manager there is awesome as well, he gives it to you straight. no messing around. my husband and i just recently got a 2006 vw golf gti... well, let's just say it isn't up to par. we did a straight trade for one of our jeeps, and the manager here gave me a free inspection on the gti and told me that it was previously taken care of poorly. i appreciate their honesty. and no, they weren't making suggestions on what they can do to fix it, they weren't trying to sell me anything! they just gave me the info and left it at that.. the way you'd wish a shop would always conduct business. i now live in riverside, and will always make the drive out to upland to go to this shop, when/if i can. they are amazing and continue to be amazing!! read more
