Classes are run by good and dedicated instructors. Unlike large corporate gyms this place makes you want to go. In my case, it has kept me physically fit as it feels like it is your own private gym. Open any time that you're ready to go. The staff has always maintained a friendly and helpful atmosphere and are there if you need them. Did I mention that I'm a fit 84 and my wife is 80. She maintains fitness due in large part to the excellent (highly aerobic) Zumba classes and instructors. I have maintained my weight, aerobic and flexibility training with regular use of the diverse equipment and this has allowed me to "Keep the Old Man Out." Unlike many gym experiences, I look forward to going. Did I mention that we love the place?!

From the beginning, Carrie and Eddie have been incredible at meeting me exactly where I'm at while still pushing me to do better when they know I'm capable of it, even when I can't quite see that in myself yet. The people and environment here truly couldn't be better. I've always felt encouraged and supported without ever feeling judged or like I'm being compared to anyone else. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, and the atmosphere makes showing up something I actually look forward to. Joining this gym is honestly one of the best things I've done for myself. Even after several months of consistently attending, I still find myself excited to come back. I'm stronger, more confident, and proud of the progress I'm making, and I have Carrie and Eddie to thank for a huge part of that. After a few years my son talked me into training there again with him so I did. The employee waved my sign up fee(which I would never sign up at a gym that charges this fee) so since he did that I signed up. A couple weeks later my daughter in law wanted to sign up and the same employee that signed me up said he couldn't wave her sign up fee so my son canceled his membership. I stayed on for a couple weeks later but decided to cancel because I just wasn't impressed with the gym itself. Would love to see a nice big, open gym come to Auburn.

Coaches are awesome and won't let you get away with less than your best, and will help you achieve your primary fitness goals or supplement your regimen if you're wanting to do some cross-training for other activities - so don't waste cash on a personal trainer.... First off the coaching staff are caring, helpful, knowledgeable and give lots of positive coaching. Secondly the workout design is great. Always a good dynamic warmup followed by a single structured workout. I have traveled to many other gyms and many of them seem to lose the small gym crossfit camaraderie that ACF prides themselves on. There is no massive classes and impersonal coaching going on here. I was a bit intimidated at first by the whole "boot camp" idea (been there, done that) but Dee never made me feel intimidated. In fact, quite the opposite! She is very helpful at showing you how to modify an exercise so that you get an awesome workout. I love that the boot camps are offered outside where you can enjoy the fresh air while working out. I also like the fact that they are convenient times and places. Thanks Dee for pushing me and encouraging me to want to do better and be healthier!

I started because I was having such a hard time being consistent and pushing myself. I have some challenges; a history of spinal injury & surgery a past knee surgery. My goal was to start slow; enough to get going, but not so much as to get trashed in the process. Dee has been amazing in helping me slowly build. I'm noticing that my neck and back are not hurting after workouts and I'm able to do much more weights and reps. She really knows how to push me enough but not so much that it's overboard. I love that she listens to me and if something doesn't work for my body, she will change it to make it work. The other thing about Dee, if you are looking for someone to train with, is she is very professional. Her time with me is all about me. I've had trainers in the past that have only talked about themselves, or worse yet, other clients. She puts her focus entirely on me for the time I'm with her. She's professional, friendly and motivating. I'm so glad i found her!!
