Such a sweet shop! Staff were friendly and the variety was wonderful. Everything was so chewy and lovely! I can see why they sell out regularly.

Why do you delete my comment? These buns were bought at your store. It costs two dollars per bun. It's too expensive!

Must try ! Really authentic taste and homemade quality. I always make a point to visit this spot when I'm in the area. The owner is always here and provides great service.

Owner is so so rude and no consideration for the customers at all. Buy rice cake inside of the Hmart.

Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 4/5 Parking - Private Parking Lot Atmosphere - The restaurant gives off a vibe of a place that used to be a go to spot but has since been outpaced by other Korean restaurants in the area. While it is very nicely decorated, when we first walked in it felt a bit quiet and not as lively or vibrant as some of the other Korean spots nearby. Service - The staff is friendly and the service is sufficient. What We Ordered - Mung Bean Pancake - which was pretty good Galbi BBQ Beef Ribs - which were not as good as some competitors in the area, for example the beef ribs from Dubu have much better flavor Seafood Tofu Stew - which was very good Final Thoughts - In terms of food, my favorite dish by far was the tofu stew, which I was told is what they are known for. Everything else ranged from okay to good. I would come back to try other items, but personally I feel there are stronger options in the same area.

So many banchan options!!…read more I love the kimchi here! It is freshly prepared and costs around $10 for a medium-sized plastic container.

I don't know what's up with the new owners, but they seem to have an attitude. A few months back they had a soup for sale that I was unfamiliar with and asked the lady if I could have a sample. It's not like I wanted to stick my mouth on the container and take a sip. I thought maybe she could just take out a tablespoon and transfer it to a little soufflé cup so I could see if I liked it. She gave me a dirty look and said no. I purchased it anyway, and it turned out to be good. They used to have different types of rice available on the side and a mix of grains and beans. Now all they have is white rice. I was having tummy issues two weeks ago and figured I'd get a side of white rice, which is easily digestible. I was there on a Sunday, and it seemed like the husband who is the owner gave me another look when I asked him for a container of rice. I don't understand why he did that. Maybe it's because they didn't have it already in the display case and he had to go back and fill up a container for me. The container was about 2/3 of the way filled and I didn't notice it until I got home. I took a picture and returned about a week later when the woman who I presume is his wife was at the counter. I asked for rice and she got me a container out of display case. It was visibly filled to the top. I pulled out my phone to show her the picture of the rice her husband had given me. She immediately snapped at me and said there was a $10 minimum, thinking I was going to tap and pay. I said yes I know that I just wanna show you something. I showed her the 2/3 full container that her husband gave me a week previously. She said "oh". I asked her if she's still gonna charge me full price for the new rice and she said yes. It's not that it cost a lot of money, it's just a matter of principle. I have gotten their chicken katsu separately & as lunch platter from time to time. I doubt if I will be anymore.

We stood at the "please wait to be seated" sign for over 10-15 minutes without being acknowledged. We tried to be patient since we saw the hostess juggling multiple tasks at once. Multiple couples arrived after us and were seated first. Emphasis on they were in line AFTER us. When a waiter finally showed up, he started seating people that were last/behind us without asking for names for reservations. Who starts from the back??? Even after telling that waiter we had a reservation and were there first, he looked at us like he felt guilty. Very poor organization and guest management. Disappointing from the moment we walked in. I was excited to try the food at this place but will never show up again after what was experienced.

Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly quiet. We went specifically hoping for yukhoe…read morebecause we saw it on a photo outside and yes, they do have it. It just is not on the printed menu. Very cool, but also slightly chaotic. If you speak Korean, there is basically an unlocked menu situation. Same with tteokbokki. Not listed, but available. Love that for the insiders. The only downside is you do not really know all the prices ahead of time, and things ended up being a little higher than expected. It is right next to H Mart though, so prime real estate. The yukhoe came out still a tiny bit frozen in the center, but the seasoning was great. Nicely balanced sesame oil, garlic, a little sweetness. They mix it for you at the table which is a nice touch. We were mid mixing and they tried to take our picture which caught us off guard, but honestly it is a fair trade for how attentive and kind they were. Seafood tofu pot was a bit underwhelming protein wise. One shrimp and maybe two squid rings. Not exactly seafood heavy. That said, the broth itself had good depth and the tofu was silky and comforting. Service was warm and attentive the whole time. The space is super picturesque. Small booths with grills built into the tables, wooden frames, very traditional KBBQ vibes. Cozy and cute without feeling cramped. Overall, good experience. Just a little pricey and I wish everything was clearly listed on the menu. But vibes and service are definitely there.

used to enjoy coming here, but the quality has really gone downhill…read more The seafood noodle soup was about $16, yet there was barely any seafood in it. For a dish that is supposed to have a generous seafood portion, it was very disappointing. The broth and noodles also didn't taste fresh. Black bean noodle and seafood noodle in the second photo is what was left after trying to eat it, but the taste just wasn't good. The overall flavor was bland and not what you would expect from this type of dish. Another issue is the tax calculation. Philadelphia sales tax is 8%, but they charged about 9%, which shouldn't happen. Even if it seems like a small amount, customers should not be overcharged. Unfortunately, between the declining food quality and questionable pricing, this visit was disappointing.

The noodles have great texture and the broth are light and full of deep umami without being super salty I loved the oyster seaweed noodle (it was a special off menu?) and the gang jjajang. The fried crispies (like tang suyuk) were also pretty solid. They don't serve Kimchi though, just radish and onions with black bean sauce. I was really craving it with my jjajangmyeon. Maybe they'll give it to you if you ask?

Overall Ratings Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Parking: Private Parking Lot Atmosphere: Probably one of my favorite restaurant/bar spots I've been to. The place is clean, inviting, and has a vibe that keeps you wanting to stay awhile. Not only do they offer happy hour drinks, but they also have happy hour food options. There's enough variety on the menu to make you want to come back for another visit. Service: The service is good. Staff are friendly and check on their guests frequently without being intrusive. What We Ordered: -(Drink) Soju -Korean Style Fried Chicken (my favorite on the menu) -Honey Butter Chips (It's good, but you do need to mix the butter and honey a bit, or at least wait until the honey cools slightly, otherwise it won't mix well, as we learned) -Bulgogi Beef Bao (Good) -Korean Style Ribs (A bit dry, but still tasty) Final Thoughts: I would absolutely go again. This is one of our favorite spots for a quick drink and bites. It's local to us and definitely a hidden gem.
