We've been coming here for probably five years or longer now, and it's still our favorite…read morerestaurant by far. We live about an hour and a half out of Vegas, and we make the trip every three months or so mainly just to eat here. We crave it as soon as we leave. It haunts us with how delicious it is. Every time we come we get at least four entrees to split between the two of us, sometimes five. Rarely do we leave with any leftovers, and if we do, then we finish them as a snack later that night. It's seriously the best and at this point has become our comfort food/restaurant. Our most recent visit was for our nine-year anniversary dinner. We could think of no better place to spend it. So thank you for existing Charm Thai, and thank you for consistently delivering our favorite dining experience.

I believe Chef Pam herself was the one who seated us. The restaurant was very clean, and around 5 PM there were about three or four other tables eating. I had the chicken Pad See Ew at spice level 10. I love spicy food, and this was easily one of the spiciest dishes I've ever had. A true test, but still very flavorful. The spring rolls came with a plum sauce that was really good. My son loved the crab rangoons and also had the chicken Pad Garlic & Pepper. My wife had the pumpkin curry with chicken, which was also very tasty. Service was great, food came out very fast, and the pricing was reasonable. We also noticed Thai customers coming in to eat while we were there, which is always a good sign when you're looking for an authentic experience. I truly wanted it to be good and I'm saddened that now I have to find something else to eat because this is going into the trash. To be fair, this would have been a two-star experience if I hadn't paid so much.

Then only negative there was the woody stalks of lemongrass that were impossible to chew. The chicken wings were dry and there was very little flavor. The sticky rice was overpriced and had many hardened grains around the edges. I had looked forward to visiting this restaurant because I heard good things. My visit was disappointing and I won't be going back.

My wife got a gin and tonic which had some elderberry flavor in it and she had to drive so I got to finish that bad boy off. For food we always share, because most plates are huge. We got the crispy fried rice which I remembered from years ago which features almost puffy style rice with a lot of amazing aromatics like lemongrass and lime as well as sour pork sausage which I feel just tasted like a typical Chinese sausage but supreme flavorful and not a huge soy flavor. The food is out of this world especially the vegetarian beef jerky and the Panang curry is packed full of flavor. Also always have to get a butterfly lemonade tea. The owner is almost always there and very friendly walking around to all the tables to be sure people are enjoying their meal. This is definitely one of the best all-around restaurants in the city. After finding this place on yelp and looking over the menu which looked great my family and I decided to go out and give it a shot, regardless of the mixed reviews. Should have stuck with my gut and gone to a better spot. . This place was such a mess. Food came in a timely manner no issues there..we sat down to eat and after a short while ALL of us were sick to our stomachs with terrible diarrhea..this TELLS ME one thing.they are not practicing good food safety practices there fore I will never order from.here again and am going to file a complaint with the health dept. I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT...its a shame and disappointment but beyond that your health is way more important! The server was so cold, not a smile, took so long to come ask us what we wanted to drink (4 of us showed up 5 minutes after the first half of the group). Never asked us how the food was, when obviously it was bad - about 3/4 of what we left was barely touched. They didn't care. Must be used to people not liking things Every single thing was so piping hot and fast that it was painfully obvious it came out of a microwave. Our egg-rolls tasted like the frozen kind from the Smiths across up the street. Tum Yum seafood soup had that coagulated jelly all through it - 100% cold and reheated multiple times throughout the day (I know my leftovers). The most offensive part was when we asked for some limes to liven up our bland dishes, the server told me "we don't have limes, only lemons." If I had to pick between the 2 it would defenetly be Gaati Thai Kitchen without a doubt. I've had their pad see ew, pad kee mao, spicy fried rice, chicken curry puffs,pineapple chicken, yellow curry, chicken pad thai, fried banana with home made coconut ice cream & my favorite desert pumpkin custard. If you ever happen to stop by Gaati Thai Kitchen you should try there pumpkin custard I promise you that you will love it too its just the right flavor not too sweet but perfect. The restaurant is a cute and intimate little place that I've come to appreciate, especially for takeout, as it's the closest Thai spot to me. The prices are fair, and the crab rangoon is always delicious. It's become a go-to for a quick and satisfying meal. The cozy ambiance makes it a nice spot for dining in as well, adding to its charm. However, I've noticed that the soups and curries tend to have a very sweet base, which can be a bit overwhelming at times. It seems like there's a sauce they use in many dishes that adds this sweetness, sometimes detracting from the intended spiciness. While I enjoy the food overall, I do wish the sweetness was toned down a bit to better balance the flavors. read more

The food here is awesome! Everything I have tried there has been delicious. The specialty drinks are great too, my 10 year old loved the pomegranate ginger fizz!! I tried it and almost took it away from him, it was so good! I love the iced Thai coffee. Had lunch last week and tried the pumpkin custard for desert. WOW! Absolutely delicious and nicely served in the pumpkin. Food is fresh, flavorful, and great quality. Would give 5 stars, only complaint is that the last time I took home left overs, they used styrofoam containers. Not good for environment, can't reuse them, and can't reheat food in them. read more

Gaati Thai is a nice intimate restaurant on the SW side of Henderson. The food is great, prices are fair and the atmosphere is pleasant. I especially love the Tom Kha soup and coconut ice cream. Rich flavors, excellent presentation of nearly every dish I've had and pretty friendly service and consistency in the staff. I've been 6 times and will be back again soon most likely. Everything was way too sweet like no offense but it tastes nothing like thai food. If your looking for an authentic thai taste, definitely not a place to go eat. However, the food decoration was pretty though. I also think that the waitress should stay around the front more so I can ask whenever I want to ask for something. read more

Started with some Asian beers (when in Rome) and some spring rolls. The spring rolls were a great start on a warm day. Bright flavors with nice shrimp and peanut sauce. One app could be enough for 4 but it was so good two of us finished it. Dinner was a combo drunken noodle and when asked about spice level I was honest about my desire for it to be the way the dish was meant to be served. I wanted it to be spicy and I trusted them. She said that would be a 4 out of 5 and I was happy to hear. The noodles came out and were steaming hot and I could immediately smell the basil and the rich flavors awaiting me. It was very balanced and yes it was spicy but not to overpower the deep flavors of the noodles the meats and the spices. Drunken noodles and spring rolls might not be the boldest order in the world but when you hit that out of the park I immediately want to come back for the spicy catfish and some tom yum soup. Missing this spot means missing some great Thai food and an overall great evening.

Our female server was very welcoming and remembered all our orders without writing it down. We were all impressed especially since almost all of us had some type of additional request with our order. Crispy, not greasy, and actually filled with quality crab. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Ontar is a true family-run Thai restaurant that has been serving customers since at least 2013. The dining room is humble and old-school, but that honestly adds to the charm. It was a little sad to see how quiet it was. We were the only customers dining in, and we also learned the restaurant is currently up for sale. That's unfortunate because the food, service, portions, and prices were all excellent. If you're nearby, come support this family-run restaurant and treat yourself to an amazing, authentic Thai meal. We will definitely be back to enjoy the food and support them again.

I'm wondering if they just aren't busy enough and holding food longer than they should or using frozen items that you can't get away with passing off as fresh. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.
