I have a 2017 Chevy 2500 with the L5P. When I called, Willie was the person who answered. Great guy, and knows what he's talking about! Was a huge reason I wanted to bring my truck to GAW. I needed to get a couple things done and they got me in and out within 24 hours. Meanwhile the Chevy dealership wanted me to wait 3-4 days just to tell me what the problem was... Best part, when I drove home I had a check engine light spring and got put in limp mode with something regarding the transmission (not something that was worked on by GAW). Willie immediately sent a tow truck to pick up my truck and had it back to me with a diagnosis the same day. Complete white glove experience, the issue I had after leaving had nothing to do with GAW's work and was a minor pre existing issue, so the fact that they had my truck picked up (on the house) so I wouldn't do any further damage just in case, gave me even more reason to be happy with them! When I picked it up the second time both Willie and Gabby took the time to talk through what they thought the problem was and even plugged me in with the owner of a nearby transmission specialist which then fixed my issue same day because I mentioned Willie and Gabby sent me. I will go to GAW for any and all of my diesel needs moving forward! Highly recommend them, class act, fast, reasonably priced and transparent. If you are in South Florida and need a good and honest Diesel Mechanic well look no further than Gabby's. I have a 2012 2500 HD with the 6.6 Duramax. I was so tired of all of the issues and dealing with the horrible Chevy dealerships. I went to Auto Nation for a 120,000 mile oil change and service and got a call to tell me i needed $6800.00 worth of work to be done! I am so glad i called Willy at Gabby's. I told him my problem and the codes the truck had and he said bring it down. He was able to solve all of my issues and do my fuel filter assembly, air filter conversion, and even dropped the tank to clean out the build up for 1/3 of what Auto Nation wanted. The whole process was transparent. He told me the cost for each thing i had done, and even texted me pictures AS THE WORK was being done. When i went to pick it up he had all of the parts he had removed there for me to inspect as well. Hands down a great group of guys that do incredible work. I have a 6.0 l diesel Excursion with close to 200 k miles. The Ex is perfect for me but engine has been nothing but trouble - all the typical 6.0 problems. I wanted 5-10 more years of use. After searching for someone dependable around NYC I drove it to GAW. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience or the results. They had it for 2 weeks. They upgraded all the failure prone parts(studs, egr, oil cooler etc.) Then replaced and rebuilt many other components. I had almost daily pictures and discussion about the shape of components and whether to replace with oem or upgraded components. When I drove it home I couldn't believe the difference. Starts instantly, incredible throttle response and great power especially in the 40-75 mph highway passing range. After that1400 miles my hand calculated highway fuel economy was 15-20% better. It was not cheap but there were no surprises, and I consider it a great investment for the next 10 years - and of course my dealer would have charged twice as much. read more

Referred to GAW for our 6.0L 2005 F350 dually that was running really rough and atypical of any common problem. Had been to two other places who said we needed to replace anything from the turbo, to the exhaust, to the fuel pump, &/or all the fuel injectors, etc. GAW took the cab off and went through the engine. Found a bolt had gotten into the cylinder and damaged a piston! They even sent pictures of damage. Sent cylinder out to machine shop and replaced piston and put Big Red back together. Runs great! Very professional and knowledgeable. So impressed with Gabby, Willy & the guys at GAW that I had them install a new exhaust & tip along with a tuner as a surprise for my husband and sons! It takes a LOT to impress my husband who has been in the auto & marine business for 40 years but GAW blew him away with the work they did on Big Red!! GAW has a customer for life with us! read more

They kept me upto date with texts (pictures and explanation) every step of the way. Willie, who runs the office was always available for consult. Gabby, the owner is always in the shop and is hands on involved in every repair. Repeat customer from out of town (Colorado) with a Ford Excursion 6.0 . I have had rear pinion seal, 2 inch lift, and exhaust repair on three separate visits. My experiences have made me a loyal customer. One of my closest friends drove his 6.0 excursion 2600 miles round trip down from New Jersey to have GAW prepare it for the next 200,000 miles. Not only was the work done properly, but my friend picked up 2 1/2 miles to the gallon on the trip back! You will not find a more thorough and knowledgeable shop for diesels in the area. Called in for an estimate on a DPF delete on my 15 Ram 2500 and Willy answered and took care of business. Got really detailed with the questions and made sure he knew exactly what he was quoting me. Took the truck in and was told that if I get there before 9 that I'd have it the same day so I tested that and got there as soon as they opened at 7. I was in and out by noon. All the work was done spot on, Willy took me out for a demo drive and to show me how to work the programmer. The truck runs and sounds amazing! Hands down GAW is the BEST shop I've been to in a long time. Thank god I found them super helpful as well as super quick & great results. I took my truck in on a Monday afternoon & it was ready on Thursday morning. What my truck had done was head gaskets, ARP bolts & studs, EGR delete kit, oil cooler, Y pipe, coolant pipe, PCV pipe, all new radiator hoses, turbo seals & I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something. This shop really took care of me and my truck. I came in with a major engine issue on my truck and Gabby and his team walked me through each stage of the repair process. They provided me with great guidance and advice and that helped me greatly with deciding which direction to take. Had two fuel injectors replaced on my truck that cost me over $1100. I figure they knew what they are doing. They did a horrible job. I took my truck to another shop and they charged half the price! They also told me that a gasket was repaired with silicon. I went to G A W Diesel and spoke with the owner gabby, I informed him about my repair, he denied using silicon and did not offer any resolution. I guess they take your money then your screwed. Save your time and money and go to another shop unless you have money to throw away. read more

Broke down in my Jeep on the highway, called the guys over at GAW, spoke to Willie, and he had a tow truck pick me up in no time. As soon as I arrived, Willie brought my jeep in and had the mechanics jump on it, it took a few days to diagnose what was wrong with it but Willie kept me up to date on everything the guys found.
