This place is close to where I am working and one of the things I miss about the East Coast are the fantastic bagels. Stopped in here a few mornings ago and picked up a pumpernickel bagel with veggie cream cheese and a medium cup of coffee. Everything came to $7. Pumpernickel bagels are hard to find as a lot of places don't carry them anymore but this place does and they were delicious and just out of the oven too! Not a great experience as a first time customer. I ordered a coffee and a plain bagel with veggie cream cheese, "to go" (I got no bag-strike 1) Bagel was small but hot, and it only had a little cream cheese with practically NO veggies in it (strike 2). Took a bite and all the cream cheese oozed out on the first bite (now I have a bagel with no cream cheese in it) (Strike 3) I Asked for a coffee, I had to make it myself, which I didn't mind but it's right behind a short line of people standing, so moving in and out of the people standing in line just to make a cup with milk and sugar - very tight space. Paid $7.50 which was snatched out of my hand, like the guy was having a bad day. I won't be going there again. First and last time. Ways to improve...1. More veggies in your cream cheese. 2. Cold thicker cream cheese won't run under heat that quickly 3. Give your customers a bag when it's to go, and provide napkins 4. I like the vibe, more homey than Starbucks down the road. It's not a big place but there are a few tables inside where you can eat, plus a couple of picnic tables outside. I last came into Lil Pickles about 10-11 months ago and had a bad experience. I decided that I would give them another shot. Today I preferred 12 bagels... all good. Then took a container of veggie cream cheese from the refrigerator and put it on the counter. The container said $5.50. No worries. The cashier rang it up as $7.00. When I asked why $7.00 she told me prices went up, but every co Rainer was marked $5.50. DONT'T ADVERTISE A PRICE ON SOMETHING AMD CHARGE MORE! If the prices have gone up, then mark it appropriately. Unfortunately for them, I am very observant to what I am paying. I did end up paying $5.50, but not without attitude from the cashier. There are no more chances here. Never again!!!! My son & I met here as it is a mid-way point between our homes. So after an hour and a half drive, I left empty-handed and hungrier than ever. I've been visiting Lil Pickles more frequently lately and have been lucky enough to get there early on the weekends. If you get their early you are likely to get a hot bagel from the oven and the full selection - there have been a few times where I showed up later, around 10:30, and there will be empty baskets resulting in a limited selection. This past Sunday I got a dozen bagels and a container of scallion cream cheese to go - $24 total. While the plain bagels were hot from the oven they were not worth the $24. Maybe I'm just picky about my Sunday morning bagels but I feel like I deserve to be with so many great options in NJ. Lil Pickles wins for convenience as it's close to a shopping center and and it is easy to park but still not my first choice for bagels. read more

Loved this! I came here on a weekend and it was pretty much empty. I ordered a blueberry bagel toasted with peanut butter and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had! The blueberry flavor was strong and had just the right amount of peanut butter. My boyfriend got a bacon, egg, and cheese and loved it as well (he's a regular here). I've been coming to this place for years, and it's by far my favorite breakfast sandwich place in the Bridgewater area. My favorite is the bomber: pork roll, egg, cheese, hash brown on your choice of bagel. It's super filling but not too much food like some of the other sandwich options. A little pricey compared to other local bagel places, but the sandwiches are so yummy I keep coming back. I was confused about the wording of a menu item while ordering online through Slice so I called the establishment to make sure I was ordering the right thing. I was trying to ask if my sandwich would come with or without egg; but the man who answered my call cut me off and told me to order delivery through slice and hung up on me. But I don't want delivery I wanted to pick it up. And, upon further inspection, I don't want to order through Slice because they have their prices set higher on there than the prices on Lil' Pickles' own website and menu. The store is clean, the product, the bagel dough, which is sourced, but delivered daily to be baked on site. "Pickles" by name does not inspire breakfast fare so I view this as a lunch stop mainly, but the bagels are very good, because the dough comes from boiled source and it is nearly impossible to discern the difference if it were made at a bagel factory or baked here, the dough is not frozen, as previously reported and is the correct way to make bagels that taste as good as theirs Would I buy a dozen bagels for weekend company? Lil Pickles have the BEST bagels! They deserve an Excellent except for their service. You need to be a very bold, loud person to get your food. I just came home and said to my husband "I swear they will service everyone around me until I finally speak up and say 'can I have my pork roll, egg and Cheese'"! I've gone in the front door and then a swarm of people will come in the back and they will serve everyone of them before you. I say "should I wait over by the back door?" And they will say "no, anywhere is fine". Honestly they should have like ticket stubs like at a deli.
