We live in Castle Rock and from time to time we meet our son for lunch or dinner in Longmont.He attends CSU and this is about a halfway point for us both. We decided to give this restaurant a try since we all love New Mexican cuisine. The Santa Fe Coffee & Burrito did not disappoint. The restaurant is located off main street and is small by comparison to other eateries in the area. Parking could be a challenge but we did find a spot right away. The menu offers an excellent selection of traditional Mexican and American food. I ordered Enchiladas with red sauce that was amazing. My son ordered pancakes which he said were some of the best he has had. Coffee was hot, freshly brewed and delicious. What more can you ask for? Overall, this is a place you must try as I'm sure you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in the area. read more

Really enjoyed the Santa Fe burrito with chorizo. Got it with the mild green chili and I got to say I was very impressed. There was a depth of flavor to the chili and the pork bits was super delicious. It was a bit dry but I think the flavor made up for it! Tortilla was moist and soft as well. Huge portion as well so be prepared. Also got the hot chocolate which was served in a square mug. Finally stopped by here after driving by it everyday for to many years and glad I did. I ordered take out via their online website. Very easy and smooth. Their parking lot is kind of smaller, so if it's busy parking could be tough but today there were several spots open. Greeted by a very nice lady when I walked in. Well had been awhile sense we had been there. And now we know why it had been awhile. Took about 15 minutes to get our drinks after 2 people asked us. For water and coffee. Food was ok not the best. Mine was cold but no one ever came back. It was amazing we got silverware that took awhile. I would totally understand if they were busy. There were 4 tables waiting for food or checks. And 5 people working foh not knowing what to do. Had to go up to pay and they didn't know what to do. It's great to hire young people but dang train them. read more

I love this place! Friendly staff, good food and excellent value. I especially like their skillets and appreciate that you can get a 1/2 order as I'm not a big eater. My only gripe is that they are often closed during normal business hours, so it's hit or miss. read more

Santa Fe Cafe has been transported in time to the old school cafe service. All of the servers we're super friendly and sat our party of 9 quickly. I myself have been here three times now, each visit different but always delicious. The owner born and raised in New Mexico has brought that home town level of authenticity to the food. This place has become a new favorite here in Longmont! You'll usually have a 5-10 min wait at any time you come here but it is worth it. Fantastic and friendly service always, but the food!!! Santa Fe skillet is amazing with tons of green Chile, onion and bell peppers. Santa Fe burrito is the same awesome deliciousness in burrito form! The pancakes are sweet potatoes and are amazing!! The portions are huge but you can get a half portion which is more than sufficient. And despite the prices being reasonable to begin with, the half portion prices makes the place downright cheap to eat. The owner usually stops by the table to refill your coffee, make sure you are having and experience and just to chat with you. And the rest of the staff are super attentive and friendly. Oh, Colorado. Oh, Southwest. How I pine for you when I'm gone. How I miss your New Mexico-style cuisine, and my heart yearns for green chile (and red chile, too). And how I long for places like Santa Fe Coffee & Burrito Co. in my adopted home of Northern Virginia, in vain. Colorado residents, be thankful for the spoils of green chile, and never take for granted spicy, southwestern breakfast fare! I was really pleased with Santa Fe - although the parking lot was teensy-weensy, and their seating waitlist system could use some exacting - it was well worth the struggle parking and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with other hungry patrons in the foyer waiting for a seat. It was cool that the owner works here on a daily basis, coming around to refill coffee (which is tasty, BTW), and happy to share his story of how his restaurant survived the great Colorado floods of 2013. He is really a nice guy, and takes good care of his customers. Ambiance inside the cafe is cozy and conducive for conversation, with nice and subtle Southwestern decor and dark woods. The menu offers a truly extensive selection of Mexican and New Mexico-style standards. They make both their red and green chile in-house, nothing from a can. Pork. Green. Chile. Don't take it for granted, folks. If you love it, you should eat it everyday, especially with how it's prepared at Santa Fe. Smother your eggs with it. Mix it into your burrito/enchiladas. What I loved: the service - incredibly friendly and helpful staff, the endless refills of coffee provided by said staff (I think my coffee was topped off every 5-10 minutes), and the cozy atmosphere. The food was also good. My companion ordered the Denver Omelet and I the breakfast burrito. As this was the price of a full breakfast entree, I would have liked the burrito to be a wee bit bigger (and a little more filling), but it was still tasty and the chile was awesome. Very disappointing. Chips and salsa was literally round Tostitos and pace salsa. Expected Mexican food but had the chimichanga and it was mediocre at best. Beans tasted like ranch style out of a can. My boyfriend and I were famished after packing up and leaving a music festival in Loveland, and were in dire need of a hearty breakfast burrito to fuel us through the long drive home. We stopped in to Santa Fe and got 2 burritos to go. The staff was so incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The burritos were perfect - not ridiculously enormous, good hearty potatoes, chorizo, cheese, and egg. The girls hooked me up with a waterfall of Cholula on request. Having previously lived in New Mexico for many years I have a high standard of southwestern cuisine. The sign out front of Santa Fe Coffee and Burrito is authentic looking, so I thought I'd give it a try. Upon entering the first thing I noticed is it has a quaint feeling. I was hesitant to open the menu. As a vegetarian, it is hard to find a good Huevos Rancheros that I can eat. I was immediately disappointed to find the green chile has pork and the red chile has beef. Today they do not have red chilie anyway. So I ordered the only vegetarian omelette on the menu with hash browns and coffee. The meal was served fast. The omelette was very good and had fresh veggies, though I suspect the chopped green chilies were frozen. The hash browns were obviously the frozen kind and were served extremely greasy. I just couldn't eat them. The coffee was decent but it is worth noting that they only offer white sugar and the pink, blue and yellow packets. The service was fast and friendly. As always I have to make a comment about the hot sauce selection. It was the generic name brands you see everywhere. Tabasco, Etc. This is an ok restaurant for the general public but I will probably never come back. I highly recommend Jus Burritos in Broomfield if you want to try some proper green and red chilie served in true New Mexico style. read more

I had a smothered breakfast burrito and while it tasted great and the portion was huge, it's the service and cleanliness that will have me going back again. I had a table by the door and noticed that the floor manager greeted every patron and followed up with each table to make sure his customers were satisfied. A nice touch for a small restaurant. Two words: burrito window. During my Longmont visits, my bff wanted a breakfast burrito. Yelp led me here, but little did I know that their checkout window is set specifically for burrito orders when you walk in (many other people were eating great looking dishes at their tables)! She and I order our ridiculously cheap bfast burritos ($2 for special of the day, $2.50 for regular menu varieties) and they are ready for us in no time. Bring them back to her place, unwrap our burritos.. they are hot and so amazingly delicious. Very big, too! Neither of us could finish what we were given. There are 2 places in Longmont, that have the burrito game on lock. The obvious Santiagos. And this place. Santa Fe Coffee and Burrito is hands down the best. The burritos have more breakfast meat, and pork meat in the green chili. Before having one of these breakfast burritos, my life was bland. (LoL). The staff is friendly, usually 2 girls, and the owner. And they arent afraid to make conversation with you. The dining area is kinda small, but I always carry out. So no biggy there. I ordered a Carmel Latté and a half order of their Santa Fe skillet. I had my skillet in less than 5 minutes, sizzling HOT! It was fantastic! The latté was great too! I like this place. I have now come here about 3 or 4 times over the years and I have yet to be disappointed. It is very reasonably priced, and the servings are plentiful. They have lots of non-burrito options on the menu, but most things do have a southwestern flair (which is fine by me). Two large pancakes for 1.95 made my daughter very happy. Today I got the Coronado which was eggs and chorizo, a chile relleno, rice and beans, and pico de gallo. (As I'm writing this, I'm remembering that I ordered mine "hot" and there was not much heat.) At 8.95, it was one of the pricier options, but it was very tasty. My husband likes to get the Santa Fe Skillet which comes out sizzling. We took our ten month old for lunch on Friday while running errands. The place was half full and service was prompt and friendly. The menu is typical diner with a Southwestern flare- lots of diverse options from tuna melts to chile rellenos to pancakes. I had a small breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it! Great balance of egg/meat/cheese to tortilla. I also enjoyed the spice level of the green chili- just the right sort of building medium heat. My husband thought it was too mild and not flavorful enough. I agree that for "hot" chili it was too mild, but I liked the flavor. Our daughter had pancakes, which she always loves. They have Bhakti chai, and they mixed it correctly for my tastes. The prices are lower than I'd expect for the quality, the space is cute, and the service is very friendly.
