New store so I naturally had to check it out. I honestly never heard of Gabe's until 3 store opened in the Buffalo area. I'd describe it as a lower end department store. Really low prices and a large department of scrubs for those that need them. Wasn't really crazy about their clothes. They had housewares, pet supplies, shoes, etc. All the normal items you'd find in a department store. Just nothing that really enticed .me to go back. Gabes, is a great addition as a department store to the Western New York area. I've visited their other locations in Erie, PA, Greensburg,PA and Stubenville,Ohio. This is a convenient location not to far from the 33, thurway or Galleria mall. Located in the Wegmans plaza and former Hobby Lobby. The store grand opening was June 19, is clean with discount mall name brands, women's, men's, juniors, housewares, footwear , pantry, accessories, tech stuff, kids, and much more. Gabe's is a discount department store that reminds me, of the old Hill's stores back in the days. You have your home section, clothing and outdoor merchandise. Unlike the old Hill's department store, Gabe's sells some name brand items. They also sell items that are irregulars, so be very careful when choosing your clothing. I also feel that the quality of the clothing is not that stellar. What I mean by that is this, you maybe able to wear their clothes for a season. Maybe two seasons, but it soley depends on the garments you choose. But when everything is said and done, I honestly don't see the clothes lasting that long. I found this store to be a huge mess, at least in juniors, women's, and shoes. Just random clothes all over the place and unorganized and somewhat dirty. I was surprised given its a new store! I spent a bit of time going through the clothes to see if I could find anything and they just weren't appealing to me. The only pro to this store is the prices are incredibly low so if you do find something you like, you will have a great deal. For me, I won't be back. read more

I was quite excited when I heard Gabe's stores were coming to the WNY area. Mainly because of their selection of plus sized woman's clothing at affordable prices . You may have to root around for your size (it's similar to Marshall's in that respect) but I have been successful finding even name brand workout clothes in a bigger size than just S, M, or L. If you are looking for a quick stop in to get a particular item, this may not be the place for you, those shelves can get quite picked over. But if you are in a browsing mood, you can find some cute items. The staff is always pleasant (unlike Walmart, sorry not sorry) and be sure to take advantage of their rewards program . Very very rude I went to return a jacket I literally just bought there (wasn't cheap) they refuse to return it with her cocky little attitude cause I went to zipper my sons coat and the zipper fell right off couldn't get store credit all I wanted was a new jacket for my baby couldn't even do that I will never go there again. This has to be one of the worst stores I've ever been in. It is a disorganized mess, quite empty in most sections and what they do have is Cheap JUNK. It literally looks like a store that is going out of business, not newly opened. I don't even know what else to say other than I heard this was like a TJ Max or a Marshall's and it was neither, it was more like a dollar store that threw up things that cost more than a dollar. Stay away from their Depew, NY store. They have no value when it comes to treating their loyal reward members. Not all their managers follow their return policy. One manager at this store named Shay she shouldn't even be in the customer service field. If she can't stand there and do nothing then she doesn't want to be there. She is one that is there for the paycheck and nothing more. Not friendly, not helpful and doesn't care. The ones that value their reward members go the extra mile and will help you. The others just treat you like dirt. Their customer service at their 800# are rude, disrespectful and try to talk over you. read more

Geroge urban Gabe's gets a shit review the lady was ignorant as fuck and your guide line stores are stupid I tryed to return 2 jackets for a bigger size I had the receipt for them they told me that they can't take them cause the tag was not on them this is the only store in buffalo where u have ever heard that have to have a tag on them we tryed them on and took tags off when we did why would u keep a tag on it if it bought and your trying it on I can see about having receipt but a tag too much your employee were rude and I would never come to your store agien and anyone I talk to I will tell about your store cause it ant worth it read more

I was able to find a bunch of stuff here. They had a lot of clothes in ALL departments including plus size! The home section was pretty bare though but they did open only a few weeks ago. Also the staff was not super friendly. However I will definitely be coming back here soon!!! read more
