My Whirlpool range had an element go out. It was under warranty. HH Gregg sent me to Gabes. They were fabulous!! Let me start by saying this....for those of you who have warranty work, the warranty company gives you a date that the service provider will be out. This is most assuredly not going to be the date, so just know that going in to it. The best thing you can do is get the phone number from the warranty company for the service provider, and call them yourself to see when they will be out. I've had this happen before, so I knew I had better do so. It's not Gabes or any other service provider's fault that the warranty company makes a commitment on time, when they have not even asked the service provider. They just send them a notification that service is needed, and then they commit to a date for them. When I got off of the phone with the warranty company, I immediately called Gabes to see if they would actually be coming the day the warranty company said. They told me no, they would not make that date because they would order the parts that are most likely going to be the issue to bring with them, so that they do not have to come back. They can just take care of it all in one trip. I appreciated that, so I was willing to wait. I called the service company on Dec. 20th. They ordered the part, received it, and came out on the 28th to fix it. They came exactly when they said they would. My tech was Thadd A. He was super knowledgeable about my appliance, walked me through what happened, and fixed it while he was here. He was very informative! I'm glad I was sent to them, and plan to use them in the future for any service needs on my appliances, warranty or not. Some of their poor reviews I truly believe are not the fault of Gabes, but of the warranty company committing to times and dates prematurely. I would have felt the same way had I not had a similar experience before with my dishwasher and refrigerator. We were having a problem with our Samsung fridge, which was beeping 11 times every 2 minutes around the clock. We googled the problem but when we were unable to fix it and the temp in the fridge actually started rising, we had to call for service on a Friday night. Lowe's told us Gabe's would come on Tuesday between 12 and 4. We waited all day. Close to 4, I gave them a call and was disappointed to know they would NOT be coming that day, but they had been trying to get in contact by phone (were given the wrong number) to get an assessment of what was happening and get the parts. When I told them on over the phone what the issue was, I was told the parts would come in late on Friday afternoon and someone would be out between 10 and 2 on Monday morning. Not thrilled, but had no other options at the time. Temp in fridge continued rising. Monday morning at 11am, I got a call from Thadd A, who was very professional and courteous and showed up at my door 5 minutes later, true to his word. He knew exactly what the problem was, fixed it very quickly while conversing with me and explained everything. Strangely enough, no parts were needed, problem was common with all installations of this fridge model (the installers take the doors off when moving and installing and never put them back correctly causing the fridge to think the door is open and not allowing the fan to turn on) Anyway, Thadd A was great and I am happy we are not listening to those 11 beeps every two minutes...... read more

Rich with Gabe's Electronics is the man when it comes to fixing Samsung refrigerators. About a month ago we noticed water dripping out of refrigerator. Come to find out it was pooling under the deli drawer in the bottom of the refrigerator (our refrigerator is on top, freezer is on bottom). Luckily I had bought an extended warrenty on the refrigerator so I somewhat reluctantly called and got the process started to have work scheduled. I've dealt with warrenty-work companies in the past and have been less than impressed by the technicians sent out. Let's just say that Rich and Gabe's Electronics are the total opposite of past experiences. When I made the inital call, they were able to accurately diagnose the problem. Once the ordered parts came in, an appointment was made and Rich came out and got it fixed quickly. He was courteous and kind and took time to explain to me what had been causing the problem and how he was going to fix it. Fabulous!! If I need other repairs done in the future, whether covered by warrenty or not, I'm gonna' call Gabes first! read more

We had a problem with our Whirlpool microwave. The hardest part of getting it repaired was getting the extended warranty company to assign someone, but I digress. Anyway, a technician from Gabe's Electronics showed up and simply replaced a broken part and replaced another that he felt would break. (apparently a redesign of that area) "Done, fixed..." :) What I really appreciated most was the call before service technician came onsite. The phone person asked me specifically what was happening and a few other questions about "the issue." They then arrived onsite and had several parts in their hand, ready to fix "whatever." I can't tell you how much I appreciated the one visit solution. I have used them two maybe three times now, and recommended them. Electrolux referred us to Gabe's Electronics to service our Frigidaire/Affinity clothes dryer which was not heating. The phone person at Gabe's was very polite and tried to diagnose our problem over the phone so the technician would have the right parts. Our technician (Chris East) called 15 minutes before appointed time and arrived on time. Chris East was very professional, worked hard, and was very tech savvy, which you have to be these days because of all the circuit boards in appliances. He got on the phone with support and determined it was a faulty circuit board. Gabe's had to order the part because it was not a stock item for a 7-yr-old dryer. A week later, Chris East installed the part and got the dryer working. He also told us how to maintain the dryer so that it wouldn't break down--things the manual doesn't tell the consumer. He was very patient with us (we're in our 70's) and polite and knowledgeable. We recommend Gabe's for appliance service. read more

My LG washer stopped,rotating and had the LE error, Gabe's scheduled me quickly. Tech Logan called before the appointment time, came out and did a few diagnostics and said the motor was not,working and needed replacing. He even called the office to confirm to me the parts were covered by the warranty, and the total cost to come out to assess it and to return to replace it.He was very nice, polite and knowledgeable and wore a mask . He explained everything to me,said he'd order the part(s) and would be back within a few days to a week. Within a few days, he came and within 30 minutes,replaced the parts that were covered by the warranty, he tested the machine, and I gladly paid the very very reasonable labor. Stephen D was the repair person who came out to fix My sister-in-laws new fridge. I was the person that waited at the house for the repair guy to arrive while she worked. He contacted me when he was on his way and arrived at precisely the time he stated. I told him the problem and he made the necessary repairs in a timely manner. He even advised us of a leak we weren't aware of under the sink. He was very detailed in explaining what he did and even wrote a note explaining to my sister in exactly what he did. He took a picture of the leak and emailed the picture. He was very professional and polite. He wore shoe covers and was careful to see that everything was done to my satisfaction before he left. I have never used Gabe's before however in the future I will be contacting them for my appliance repairs as well. read more

I have a Samsung refrigerator that was making an intermittent humming noise that got progressively louder and more frequent. I have tried for 2 1/2 months to get Sears to fix it, but they were so inept they couldn't fix it, despite multiple visits. I called Gabe's and they knew immediately what was causing the issue I described and reassured me they could fix it. Brian came out (on time as promised). He was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He went way above & beyond - even went back to the shop to get a part to fix it, rather than scheduling another appointment (like Sears would have done). I was surprised at the low ratings for some reviews , but then we have been blessed to get good repairmen been using Gabes for 4 years now, for Lowes extended warranty.. Starting with a call from Brooke(sp) at the office , she asks what the problem is and then orders all the parts, so tech. does not have make 2 trips. Any ways hinges on dishwasher failed so parts were ordered , tech. Brian W. called to say he would be at our house in 30 min. He was polite knew his job, got door hinges replaced, did a quick test run to make sure their were no leaks , and was on his way . Dishwasher was not working, called Kitchen Aid Company, they set up appt. with Gabe's. Service tech, Jeremy came to my rescue. He was fantastic, fast service, explained everything to me, kind, knew exactly how to repair (didn't have part but someone at Gabe's brought it to my home so didn't have to reschedule), organized, cleaned up area where he worked, I could go on and on. Where are all the service techs like Jeremy??? Great experience with Gabe's and was so impressed with Jeremy!!! Thanks for the great service Gabe's and of course Thanks to Jeremy!!! I have a 4 year old Samsung French Door Fridge. Everyone told me there was no fixing the icing problem in the upper section. Another company's repair man came out and defrosted my fridge for 175.00 and in 12 days we were back to the same knocking noise that would not let you talk in my home. Called Gabe's and Brian came out and did a replacement parts on the fridge to upgrade the Samsung for a total of 315.00. However, the warranty on the ice maker called for a upgrade on it that was covered by Samsung and Brian did it also for no extra charge. Recently purchased Samsung washer and dryer and dryer was making a terrible rattling noise. Called Samsung and they had Gabes Electronics call me to schedule an appointment. Brian, from Gabes Electronics was OUTSANDING! Tennessee is under a state of emergency and Brian, the technician, still made it to my scheduled appointment! Received a phone call to let me know he was on his way; upon arrival he had shoe covers and immediately new what the problem was and fixed it. Our GE dishwasher developed a leak that damaged the wood flooring in our kitchen. Gabe's Electronics sent Robert to our home this morning promptly at the time that had been scheduled. He carefully pulled out the dishwasher, found the source of the leak, cleaned up the water that had overflowed the pan underneath the dishwasher and made a picture so that he could explain the problem to my husband and me. Even though a part will have to be ordered we do not mind the delay, because we were so impressed with the efficiency, knowledge and courtesy of this young man. This review is for Sam Chatmon. Sam came to our house 8-7-15 to install a new ice maker in our refrigerator/freezer. Sam was very, very friendly and professional. He gladly and paitently answered our questions and concerns. Our ice making and dispensing system has been functioning smoothly for the first two days. We hope we do not have any more trouble with it. Garrison P. With Gabe's Electronics arrived today to repair my in-law's washer. Garrison educated my father-in-law about the issue, how to prevent it in the future, and left him with some helpful cleaning and maintenance tips. He left the area as clean as he found it and returned all the change and other items he found in the high efficiency drain pump to my father-in-law. Our Samsung refrigerator is under warrenty. When I called the warrenty place, they had Gabes Electronics come out. Thadd was the technician and was extremely knowledable about the Samsung. He repaired it and also gave us a "laymans" guide on several things to look out for with the ice maker (that was giving us a problem). Thadd was very professional as well as personable. My Technician, Sam C. was extremely courteous and was very personable. Sam was able to fix the tv with no problem. He is a mannerable young man and an excellent reflection on your company.
