We have been here from July 10, 2020 to July 10, 2023. During our time here we faced many ups and downs with COVID, having (2) children, and with the nearby needed facilities (i.e. schools, medical, dental, groceries, and entertainment). I will be breaking down as much as I can with the experiences reflected by this apartment. Leasing office: Mostly very friendly and more organized than other places we have been. When ever they needed to contact you for the yearly proof of home insurance or notifying you about what's planned for the week that may affect your parking or noise due to beautification or painting services they will make sure every resident is tracking my leaving a note at your door, an email, and phone call. I was always informed and was able to avoid any inconveniences ahead of time because of their communication. We had a couple of downs where some one on the teams yelled at my wife for not having our dog leashed, we know the rules and take full responsibility for our dog running out but that was very unprofessional especially because it was our only mishap. Another is if you call them sometimes they may not be "in the mood" due to what ever reason, my wife and I are always kind and professional even with our busy and stressful days so this was also unfortunate some times. In the end though they we overall professional and always had great communication with their residents. --Score: 4/5 Maintenance and the maintenance crew: Big shout out to Juan and Hector! Both were always available for any questions on maintenance and never made it awkward or time consuming when something needed a repair or check-up. Hector must have a cape hidden somewhere because on our last week my 18-month old son ran out the door when I was loading the uhaul truck and Hector saw and grabbed him as he was running across the parking lot to stare at the pool. The leasing office should really be blessed with their hardwork, dedication, and unselfishness. --Score: 5/5 Parking: Your designated parking will never be more secure any where else, trust me. On our first day here we were told of how serious they want to keep their residents personal parking spots just for them, our spot was always just for us as promised and it is enforced. On our second day my wife's car was tows because we had it parked in some ones parking spot, we didn't see the painted number late at night and figured since it was late it would've also been filled and just incase we'd move it early in the morning, before I knew ut at some time after midnight it was towd. They usually give you a courtesy call but since that car wasn't yet in their system they thought the car was an outsiders vehicle. You get no refund or anything once towed, so yeah very enforced. --Score: 4/5 Garbage bins and Garbage services: They have designated Garbage areas to throw away trash with a schedualed weekly Garbage pick up in many locations around the apartment so when ever one was too full, another wasn't very far to use. The Garbage services was new I believe started in 2022, you had no choice but to pay the monthly fee for it and accept their rules for having your trash out your door to be picked up. I wish it was a choice since the hours required to have trash outside never aligned with our families work ours but we made it work. Some days they may have accidently skipped our side of the building and had the crows rip open the bags in the morning or some days I put it out and they have already passed. Again, I'd rather take my own trash but since I was paying for this I tried to make it work as much as possible. ---Score: 4/5 Security: During the time we lived there we have been so comfortable even when coming from Compton and New Jersey. Our doors from our home and cars were unlocked and never had a robbery or damage to our belongings. They even hired a private security to patrol at night. There were instances where we saw police at our neighbors doors but to my knowledge not harmful to other residents. --Score: 5/5 Comfort: No one is ever too loud at night. We have one bad experience with a family above us but gladly they only stayed there a year. Only time we had an issue with noise was in Wednesday grass cutting at 8-9am with out little ones. --Score: 5/5 Beautifucation: Grass was always maintained, pool and Jacuzzi always cleaned, and the gym was always maintained. I was very proud of the maintaining of each facility. Only downside was when the grass was cut, EVERYTHING was covered with grass because of the blowing. I hated sweeping my front door and welcome mat from the cut grass. Especially when it surrounded my car. --Score: 4/5 read more

I have been moved out for a year now & I'm finally getting around to writing this review. When we moved in it was not brand new carpet but I was charged full price to replace it. We had cleaned the carpet every 6 months (we lived there for a little over 2 years). You won't get your deposit back plus they will charge you extra. Mold is a common thing. From the bedroom window seals (because there is constant condensation) they will tell you just to clean it every day to the bath tubs. Both bath tubs will crack & then they expect you and your animals to be out of the house for 24 hours so that they can repair it. They do not give you any compensation on a place to stay in that time. Had a hot water slab leak took over a week & living in a construction zone. Wouldn't help pay the electrical bill for the ac constantly being on to try and cool down the house. The floor was over 90 degrees. The neighbors who wouldn't keep their dog on a leash even after complaining. Would use the rest room right in front for their door and change you down the walk way when they would just let it out & go back inside. I'd stay away if I was you. I am so happy I got out of that place. I must say Juan, Hector & Sandy were always very kind & welcoming. read more

This is what grows out of the bathtub at Gables Alta Murrietta. This place is just a horrible place to live crime is bad. When you move they make you pay $2000 after living there almost 2years. Don't believe the good reviews they pay or give gift certificates to people that write a good review. They don't have the right windows or doors on the place. Strangers walking or parking so you can't park so they could fish. I think this also calls for a letter and call to the Better business bureau.Don't move here you'll be very sorry. They need pest control and the health department need to pay a visit. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF AND BELONG IN JAIL. This is mold growing from in the bathroom there from under the tub. The buildings are old and not well maintained. Lots of cracks, water leaks (the office will loan you a bucket to catch the drips don't worry), frequent bugs, and mold. Price gouging on everything and now we have to pay for this new solar program that is supposed to be great but doesn't fix any of the building problems! You want a nice common area? Too bad. Gardeners come once a week and mow without a bag, so all the dog poop, weeds and mushrooms that have been growing all over the property are now sprayed on the sidewalks and grass. It's disgusting. The people from the office never check the property, and the maintenance guys are too busy. Well at least Juan is. The other guys are either on a smoke break at home (no smoking complex by the way), or hiding in a back corner of the complex on their phone. This place is a joke, don't move here. Your concerns will not be taken seriously or fixed. read more

I was a resident in this community for years until just recently as we bought a new home. I want people to know what an outstanding experience my son and I had in all those years. Management was always courteous and very professional. Maintenance Crew, especially Juan, were friendly, competent, and always took care of any problems right away. The apartments are nice and the grounds are always clean. Amenities are first rate though the gym could be a little bigger. Centrally located to absolutely everything. Staff is friendly and maintenance is quick and reliable. Community Manager at times has a chip on her shoulder. I Have lived here for four years. Apartments are old and outdated. They are rehabbing older apartments which increases rents substantially as they charge you for stainless appliances. You can hear your neighbor flush their toilet. If you live on the bottom floor be prepared to never have a moment of peace or quiet. Some residents have three dogs on upper floors. They also rent to aggressive dogs and breeds. Lots of dog poop on the ground even though there are plenty of dog stations on the property. Don't let the beautifully decorated office fool you. The apartments do not reflect the the quality or character of the front office. read more

Overall it's not bad. The apartment buildings are a little older so you can hear your neighbors, but that's not a huge issue for us and 9/10 times there isn't much noise after 9-10pm. It is a little expensive especially since they aren't the newest apartment complexes around and don't offer much/the newest amenities. But prices are going up a lot in the area for rent. You do have to pay for utilities such as trash, water and sewer which adds onto to your monthly rent and can add up easily to 60-100 extra bucks a month depending on water usage. They do have ant issues in the summer, but you can schedule to have your apartment sprayed. I just wished ours was sprayed prior to moving in because it was an issue trying to plan around two work schedules since the dogs couldn't be there when it happened and the pest control is only here once a week. Bees are a huge issue too. They're attraced to the trash cans near the mailboxes/pool area since the bins are easily over flowed at times. Maintenance is onsite and very fast acting. Usually fixes the issue within a day. Same day if it's an urgent issue or if you lock yourself out the apartment which we have a couple times. Security is here during the night, which is nice. They let you bring more then 2 people to the pool as long as you give them a heads up in advance, which is awesome. Our last two apartments wouldn't budge on that rule. The gym is on the smaller side, but all new Equipment and is nice to work out in on the days I don't feel like going to my usual gym. It's give and take. If amenities are super important they don't have the biggest and newest. But everyone is really friendly that lives here and so is the staff. People are always using the bbq at the pool and it's nice to see the kids playing outside and families together. They let you paint your apartment, no charge, which is huge bonus for us and part of why we moved in. It's local to so many things and in between a big park and the local pond which is a plus. Lots of trees makes it feel homey and is nice. No issues when it comes to ESA animals. They're are lots of dog owners. Sometimes they don't pick up poop but the office handles any complaints pretty quick. Overall even though it's the oldest apartment building we've lived in, it's our favorite and feels the mosh like a home. I would recommend, but if you're looking for the newest then it's not for you. read more

Old apartments that do not get upgraded on the inside, just on the outside. They show you a beautiful model unit and then give you and rundown apartment. You can hear everything above, below and outside. Good luck getting a good night's sleep or any quiet here. Appliances are also old and rundown. Rent goes way up every year, even though you're still in the same rundown apartment. Personnel in the management office is often rude and unhelpful. And if you do make the mistake of signing a lease here, take pictures of everything when you move out because otherwise you will not get any of your deposit back. PSA: look elsewhere! read more

My family and I have been living here for almost 3 years and we love it so much. We have to move to San Diego due to school and work and we wish we could stay here longer, it's literally an amazing place to live. Everyone at the office is amazing, we've had some issues like people parking at our assigned spots or small issues in our apartment, but all of them have been taken care of in a timely manner. The staff is always very helpful, the maintenance team always gets any issue resolved quickly and they are great about creating a sense of "community" amongst its residence through events and newsletters. This is the worst place to live. If you are looking for an apartment in the Murrieta area look away from this one. Our apartment is infested with rats. Mind you I have three children two of which are under two. My dog caught one in our Master Bedroom and the rat crawled under our baseboard of our vanity and died. I called the office to tell them I was having issues with mice/rats. They sent maintenance and he couldnt find it and said there was nothing he could do. Two days went by and the smell in our bathroom was unbearable. It smelt like a dead body in there and it started making its way into our bedroom. Called the office again and maintenance finally took the baseboard off and found the dead rat and disposed of it. This was not the last of this issue. It has been going on for a month with two more dead rats in our kitchen. These rats were running around my kitchen on my counters, stove, fridge. Touching my newborns bottles and eating our bread. There was feces on our kitchen counter every morning. I moved my babys formula and bottles into the bedroom because I didnt want to run into these rats in the middle of the night. There was trap everywhere where my two year old good get into them. There was piles of feces behind the stove and dishwasher which they failed to clean until I got to the point of cussing the office members out. These rats chewed through the bottom of my new couch. After a month and counting my family was finally presented with three options: stay in our apartment, switch units, leave the complex completely. Prior to these rats we didnt have too much of an issue with the complex so we decided to move units. I hate moving period and to have to move because they cant solve this rat issue is aggravating. To take the time out of our weekend to move is frustrating to say the least. I was told the new unit we were going to move into was move in ready. NOT TRUE! Our washer and dryer dont work, the cable line is disconnected and other minor issues. The main issue now is our master bathroom tub needs to be resurfaced so we are not allowed to shower in our bathroom. How is this move in ready?! The office manager tells me the vendor is on property and could resurface the tub but I had furniture being delivered and could not have him in the house so my furniture could be set up and I could finish up packing. Five minutes before my furniture is here as they are pulling into the complex I get a call from the office manager saying the vendor is in my house already starting to resurface the tub despite me saying he could not start. As the furniture delivery men are starting to bring in my bed the assistant manager is walking towards me and I tell her he needs to leave. To accommodate their schedule and having being told that everyone needs to be out of the house for 6 to 8 hours because the smell is too strong I told the office that my family and I could leave on a specific date so they could resurface the tub. The day comes for the maintenance guy to resurface the tub and I get a call that his vehicle is broken and he can't come anymore. Now we have to wait even longer to shower and I have to make more accomodations for my family to be out of the house for them. I should not have to leave my own house because they did not finish the necessary items before move in. Worst experience ever living here. Beyond disappointed and frustrated. read more

It looks like Julie L. had the same experience we had upon move out. Only we had many issues while we lived there as well. I will say the maintenance folks are very helpful, nice and work extremely hard. However the ladies in the office will lie, falsify documents, and speak condescendingly to you if you don't agree with something they are doing. This was easily the worst living situation I have ever experienced and we broke our lease just to get out. Our garage flooded, dishwasher broke, you hear everything above you, below you and beside you. And definitely don't expect your deposit back no matter how clean you get the apartment! My husband and I absolutely loved gables Alta Murrieta although we don't currently live there. While we were there our experience was awesome from move in to move out (2yrs). Easy parking, efficient maintenance, and the office staff was pleasant. We loved the layout of our apartment and the amenities came in handy! We recommend living in that complex. No where is 100% perfection but this place is pretty awesome. read more

We had two weeks until lease end and we couldn't even switch apartment layouts (to a BIGGER layout that was $100 CHEAPER with UPGRADED APPLICANCES) ...yes you've read that right. NO incentive to stay. Where's the customer appreciation for loyal tenants who've paid rent on time every month? Also, "gym" is practically an oversized closet with a 2 ancient tredmills. But besides that, management is very nice and tries their best to accommodate you while trying to follow upper managements rules. read more
