The staff on property are amazing always so attentive, Brianna & Amy were always my go to with any issues that I rarely had and for maintenance Chris and Blake. We're always on point when it came to doing repairs when needed. I would highly recommend the property for your next home. We don't feel safe here anymore, This past few months, a lot of lost property incident in this neighborhood And the office don't even care on whats happening. No presence of security at night. This one is bittersweet! Me and the Mrs came here during a time of transition in our lives. The one thing we never had to worry about was how the property was kept or managed. I don't think either of us have had the experience we've had elsewhere. The neighbors have been awesome. Friendly, lots of dog lovers if that's your vibe and no one infringes on the others. For the most part quiet, except for the occasional fun of the children playing on the property (love it). Amy, Brianna, Gina, Blake, Chris all work as an Allstar team! We often stop in with dog just to say hi and they always had treats for the dogs... always a good time. I've never had an issue getting necessary service on the our apt. We always got a response in a timely fashion and you can always expect that Blake and Chris will handle it and walk into your home with respect and fully equipped to handle the job. It was amazing to stop and chat with any member of this team thru the years on the property as I always saw someone on my walks. This staff is aware of the daily ongoings and very visible during the day. We will miss all of you as we move on to our next adventure. I have been a resident for almost 5 years. In October last year I was assaulted by a neighbor and taken to the emergency room. Last Friday (2-16) the maintenance supervisor Chris banged on my door demanding I open and then proceeded to verbally assault me over some perceived grievance. I've stayed at Sanoma for the past 3 years and it was the best experience I've ever had staying at an apartment. It was close to everything which made it very convenient to get gas or groceries, and temecula was only minutes away yet the location was still a calm place to come home to. Though most of my neighbors kept to themselves they were very sweet if I ever had to talk to them. I loved that there were spots I can walk my dogs and have waste bags ready and trash for disposal as well. During the summers it's nice to soak in the pool or hot tub while BBQing on the grill. They've welcomed us with open arms and were there every step of the way . Friendly, informative and very responsive to say the least. It's saddens me to have to part ways due to buying a house but for everyone I know, I truly recommend Sanoma at Mapleton. Overall 5 stars ! read more

Been here three years now and it's pretty good. I appreciate that it's gated and the gates are shut at night, the rent is fair and it's mostly quiet which is something I really appreciate. The complex itself is kept clean most of the time and I'm a big fan of that as well. My favorite thing, though, are the random food truck events. :) read more

The search for a place to move was so hard for us! We had a deadline to be out of our old place and nothing was available anywhere. Since the beginning of contract with Sonoma, they were so accommodating. We got on the waitlist, and sure enough they had an opening in a few weeks. The kind staff and the beauty of this community are what make this home. I am so glad this is where we have chosen to live for the next few years. The entire staff is caring, knowledgeable and efficient in their service and maintenance. The company has great processes in place to report and manage service repairs and bill pay. The grounds are so peaceful, clean and very safe. Ample parking available is a plus! The beautifully appointed apartment homes have crown molding and other upgrades which just add to the comfort. My fiance and I have been living here for a while know and its great. The only issue my fiance and I have is that the assigned community mail box that for our unit was vandalized at the beginning of last July and its almost March ( almost 7 months later) the community mailbox has yet to be replaced. Everyone thats effected is having to pick up their mail in the leasing office and having to rely on office hours to be able to get mail ( sometimes the office will be closed during office hours and we are not able to get our mail). My boyfriend and I have been living here for a little over a year (we just recently signed our new lease). This has been our first apartment we have ever lived in and I'm so glad we made Sonoma our home! First of all, the leasing office girls- Candace, Brittni and Gina-are outstanding. They are so helpful, sweet and genuinely care about the people that live here. Eric and Lenny are awesome and will always get a maintenance request completed and fixed in a timely manner (we've never had it take more than 24 after we make a maintenance request). They are extremely dog friendly, and supply everyone with 5 Fido doggie bag stations across the complex to (hopefully) make it convenient enough for everyone to clean up after their dog. I have very much enjoyed living here for about a year and a half now. I pay a decent price for the space, I feel at home, love the trees and love that it's dog friendly. Maintenance has always responded well. The front office staff is very friendly and professional. Even thought some fixtures and design choices are older, they look nice and neutral. Don't expect management to do what's needed when you need it here. A car alarm was going off, and they were called twice, then visited in person, and they refused to simply find and call the owner, because they were busy trying to sign a new customer, all the while residents were being disturbed in several buildings, coming out of concern to see if they could help, unlike management. They arrogantly think their profits are more important than our peace and keeping existing residents rather than losing them and having higher turnover. Also, they refuse to keep a level of cleanliness of even basic standards, let alone worthy of the marketing term "luxury" they use... there's nothing luxury about dog poo, bird poo, dead worms, squished snails, and black spots on pathways leading to and from your home. Oh but they did find a way to make money from it, with dog DNA, so they can trace dog poop to the owner and make $150 per violation. Funny how they'll only do things that are profitable but not peaceful. read more

I don't ever write yelp reviews lol, but I feel like anybody who's possibly thinking about renting here should know what happened to me today at this place. I currently live about an hour or two away from here, and I'm trying to relocate to the area in a very very narrow window of time (less than two weeks) and on super short notice. Needless to say, it's pretty stressful, and I've already combed through everything available to me online. I was pretty sure this place would be a good fit for my needs; all I needed was a quick look to be 100% sure. I was SO sure, in fact, that I drove all the way out to see it AFTER working my second 14 hour night shift of the week (I'm a nurse at a busy hospital), and I came prepared to put my money down and sign TODAY. Like I said, I'm on a deadline. When I got there, the lady was very nice (Candice). There was no traffic in the office. I didn't hear any phones. There was nothing to suggest they were particularly busy. Besides, are we ever REALLY too busy to help the people we're trying to sell to?? So here's my issue. Candice tells me I can't see any of the places until the afternoon or next week... because they're only shown "by appointment". When I explained my situation and extenuating circumstances, she hid behind the ole' "it's our policy" charade. I asked her if she could please help me and she shuffled me out the door and told me to "look online". As if I hadn't already done that. My point is this: I go above & beyond for people in my job literally EVERY DAY. For no reason at all. If your loved one is in the hospital, me and people like me are out there... missing our lunches, getting yelled at, operating on minimal sleep, and sacrificing time with our own families EVERY DAY ... to be there for you and yours. There isn't a single day I get to callously hide behind a "policy" at my job. I met Candice today looking exhausted, in my scrubs and straight from work because I'm just trying to get this done with the limited free time I have. I explained my situation. Candice was fully aware of what she was doing when she turned me away today. Didn't even offer any sort of explanation. She just turned a blind eye and hid behind a policy. This might be a nice place to live, but you might want to consider this story before renting here. 1) What are they hiding?? 2) Management here apparently has no soul. 3) I wouldn't be surprised if this mentality carries over in every aspect of how they run their business. Where do I start. Sonoma has been my HOME going on 10 years in February. I relocated from Northern Calif and before choosing an apartment I literally looked at all of them :(no joke) Sonoma was the definite choice because it was just Beautiful. The grounds are maintained to the T . The trees are my favorite part . Its shaded ,quiet and just a very well kept up complex. I chose a 2/2 the Santa Cruz floorplan . Its the perfect set up for roommates or if you have children. The bedrooms are not right next to each other but on opposite sides of the unit , my other favorite part . So plenty of privacy if you're looking to roommate . The gym has everything you need to get a great workout in and the view out of the windows is the Beautiful pool area. The office crew.. what can I say I know them all by name and they know mine! (LOL) They are the very best group of people I've gotten to know. Amy, Gina , Brianna , Eric.... are all so friendly and helpful. I stop by often just to say hi . A complex that has perks I don't believe other places have...... They often have a coffee truck brought in for residents leaving for work in the wee hours of the morning , they have served breakfast, they bring in food trucks which is a great idea especially for people coming home from work and too tired to cook . They have Christmas present wrapping in the office and just so many things you wouldn't think an apartment complex would care enough to do for their residents. if your looking for a place to call HOME and for Management to really care when and if there is an issue I would highly recommend giving them a look . So... We decided to reconsider this place after we came back from our cruise vacay. We had lots of options to choose from. The other surrounding apartment communities were brand new and had several amazing luxury amenities, which we love!! However, since we were looking for a 3 month temporary move while we're between homes, this place was decent and cheap for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Unfortunately... This place is NOT as good as I thought it would be. When I called the leasing office, no one answered the phone for HOURS during their "normal business hours"! The reviews about the staff's laziness on the Apartment Ratings website is correct! I ended up leaving a message for Brittni (the one who assisted us previously). A couple more hours later, some guy named "Matt" called me and said with a chuckle, "Brittni is here, but she's doing community... manager... property... stuff." (Oookaay, sir. Are you sure? Sounds rehearsed.) Also, she could call me back when she was able to. No one is too busy for potential paying residents. ;) Plus this place is not new. So there isn't a big herd of people wanting to rent here as we obviously saw on our visit. Anyway... "Matt" was so unprofessional and lack phone etiquette. He placed me on hold several times without notice to "figure things out." He had a hard time answering the questions we had about the apartment we were interested in and the apartment community as a whole (i.e. rent pricing, lease dates, maintenance, etc---nothing difficult). But he kept telling me he wasn't sure, he didn't know, and he never heard of things like annual maintenance (even though Brittni confidently spoke to us about all of these things). It was a shockingly different experience. The first time we contacted and inquired about Sonoma at Mapleton, we felt comfortable about the possibility of renting the apartment as they seemed cordial and professional. The reasons we decided against it (at the time) were distance and age (these apts are 9-10 years old). BUT, now... I've seen a different side to this place all thanks to unknowledgeable "Matt." The unprofessional manner that "Matt" dealt with me is the sole reason this place is OUT of consideration. It seems they were only nice in the beginning. SMH. :-/ Beware Yelpers. read more

I have live here for over a year now and i like the fact that this place is well kept all the time. Friendly staff members and great Maintenance workers. The pool is available starting at 8 am and you can enjoy the spa till 11 p.m.. I think that is awesome. Most apartments will get you out of there by 9 Or 10 p.m.. The weight room is right next to the pool. it is small but i guess you cant have it all. They put a sign out to remind you about rent dues on the 1st of each month. Thats cool. We can all use the reminder. I believe on the best things is that they always give you a heads up with any maintenance work that might be going on by leaving a note on your door to advice you of the upcoming events. Over all I like this apt. The people here a nice and you dont see or hear of any trouble. very safe feeling if you ask me. read more

So boredom is NOT an issue. -Grocery, gas stations, and good eats are just around the corner, (we HIGHLY recommend Tavern Grill next to Albertsons)! -Sonoma feels as if you have been transported to Little Italy, if you visit, you'll see what I mean! -VERY pet and kid friendly. -Revival and other great churches near by!! Recently, My wife and I got orders to Everett Washington. After seeing the quality of apartments up there, we are really sad to leave our home here, because we really do appreciate the hard work the staff puts in to make you feel like you are a community. I really have to say that I do love living here! It's such a beautiful place to live. For someone who has lived in a house most of my life Sonoma at Mapleton has made apartment living a great transition! The apartments themselves are beautiful and this is what caught my attention when I first viewed the complex. I love the layouts, the Windows, the features make this place beautiful. Even outside the grounds are kept so well and it's just genuinely beautiful. Everyone in the office is very helpful and kind. They are very attentive and rush to fix a problem. In fact, any time I've needed maintenance they are there within a few short hours to remedy the situation. The neighbors are kind and quiet. With a few exceptions I can honestly say how pleasant and low key it is so live here. I'm very happy with the choice of making this place home. I wish there were more bbq's at the pool and the gym could use some updates but those I can live with :) read more

My review is way overdue because the Sonoma apartments and staff are amazing! Special shout out to Brittni! The staff is always so nice and courteous. They really do a wonderful job of making Sonoma feel like community. That feeling starts as soon as you move in because I'll never forget the WELCOME HOME package that was waiting for us in our new apartment, which included a free pizza from a local place. They send out monthly newsletters with upcoming events within our community and locally. One morning the Sonoma staff were at the gates handing out to-go breakfast meals and wishing everyone a good day. On top of all that, the apartments are beautiful and spacious. I wanted to thank the staff at Sonoma at Mapleton for the recent repairs. I was going to be out of town for a few days and sent in a repair request to Brittini she put me on the schedule right away. They performed better than expected. They cleaned the carpet, fixed,adjusted and serviced the appliances with new filters and even upgraded the microwave to a new unit. Newer apartments are nice inside. Hated that they would send anonymous letters to residents about the cleanliness of the apartments. If they took a walk around they could easily pick out who the tenants were who rarely threw out trash or left dog poop everywhere. read more

If I could give this property 0 stars I would. I rented at this location for 6 months and I followed all rules outlined for the complex. The entire 6 months I heard complaints from other residents of the complex about how horrible the leasing office staff was and how much they disliked living on the premises. I would always disregard all the complaints simply thinking that some people will never be happy. Well I was wrong! I moved out the first week of December when my 6 month lease was up and I gave a 30 day notice of move out in November. Well, fast forward to the end of January and I received a call from a collections company stating that I owe Sonoma money for move out expenses. First, I never once received a letter in the mail, a phone call or an email from Sonoma that I owed them for any charges. How is it that the collection agency was able to reach me on their first attempt but Sonoma was not? Apparently, operating a phone is beyond their scope of capability. The collection agency told me I was being charged a $45 dollar fee for insufficient move out notification. When I called the leasing office they were able to provide me with my 30 day notice, which they signed, right away. How am I being charged for something that they have documentation of?? Then they charged an extreme amount of cleaning and painting costs. We called the corporate office Sages Regis 7 times in one day and did not receive a response (very professional). This place will entice you with a low move in deposit but they will over charge you and send you to collections upon move out. This establishment is a total scam! DO NOT LIVE HERE! They do not have security...OK they have a guy in a truck who drives around once at night and does nothing! I have walked my dog in the morning and a found bum sleeping on a bench inside the complex with beer cans all around him, real family friendly! Cars were constantly getting broken into and a resident even had his motorcycle stolen in the 6 months I lived there. Illegal activity was constantly going on in the complex and the leasing office never seemed to take notice, maybe they were too busy sending fraudulent claims to collections. This place is not worth your money and time. There are plenty of other residential apartments in Menifee and Murrieta please live in one of these locations...unless you enjoy being sent to collections on bogus charges then by all means live happily ever after here. read more
