I ordered 3 Hoegaarden beers, I placed the money for the 3 beers on the "underbar" plus a 'very little' extra though still not deserved in the slightest. On my way leaving the facility, I was questioned, asked why I'm leaving without paying for my tab. This totally took me off guard because I paid it I, as I prevously stated. I asked for her to review the footage so we could settle this little discrepancy and she said she couldnt at that time for some reason, the reason of which I cant remember. Now, I should mention, this was me and my mother who visited the bar, and the only reason we stopped in there was to chat with my mothers boyfriend. It ended up being that my mothers boyfriend paid the tab. Which means they got paid twice. Also, I would like to add that moms bf shouldn't have paid the bill, because I already paid the tab. I wanted to see the footage then and I want to see it now, because I genuinely am curious to see who it is that stole the money!!! Then I hear from my mothers boyfriend, that the barmaid said that she doesn't want us back in there, apparently we are now labeled as thieves. One point I'd like to make is why in the world would I put the $14 out on the "under bar" in the first place, if I planned to just steal the money back? Wouldn't it make more sense to just not put money down in the first place? This is so petty and ridiculous. I want the establishment to review the footage. This truly hurts my feelings and my pride as well. Not to mention, this was not done discretely, this was done in front of people I know and its embarrassing to know this Al's Hideaway... Typical dive bar but food is terrible. They also don't have Coke or Pepsi. Some random off brand.

It's a shot and beer bar with karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights, I always seem to find myself haunting the Hideaway near midnight occasionally. It was our first time here. We pass it everyday and live close by. We didn't know what to expect as it's small and looked like a hole in the wall bar that serves mainly locals. The bartender Claudia was very sweet and gave us the low down on all of the specials throughout the week. By surprise, we hung out for a few hours, drank for VERY cheap and had a great time. I used to go here when it was Al's and sing every Friday Night and the company was grand but the bar was bad. Hadn't been in since Al sold it and I popped in not long ago for a beer and a burger. All I can say is the people there were very nice and the place looked really good. new tables and chairs, new flooring. Finally decided if the bathroom was one occupant or not. Nice job new owners.
