This place is so big and cute but the food is so average. I ordered a double vodka cran and it came as pure vodka. I don't think the bartender understands English. I had the posole. Normally you can't go wrong with posole because it is an easy soup to make. But this restaurant makes the driest posole I have eaten. Snd the broth is rather bland. The pork is way too chewy and thick, no fat and tendons in it. It comes with no garnishes 1/5. I will not come back to this restaurant.

We visited on a busy night and unfortunately, the service really struggled to keep up. After being seated, we were left unattended for a long time before anyone took our order, and our food arrived quite late. We chose to sit outside, and the patio itself has a really nice vibe and setup. However, it was overrun with too many bugs, which made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the evening. As for the food, it was overall just okay. The flavors were decent, but my main complaint is the temperature, everything arrived on the warm side, and I really wish it had been served hot, especially when asked for Fajitas- after the long wait. It's a beautiful spot with potential, but they definitely need more staff to handle busy hours and better pest control for the outdoor seating.

Desserts, drinks, and beautiful architecture are definitely worth going back for. Inside and outdoor seating are equally gorgeous; can't go wrong either way. Entrees were alright (crab enchiladas were not my favorite but the beans and corn served alongside were delicious). I loved the variety in drinks and the piñon sprinkled on the ice creams. The sopaipillas were a little thick. Servers were attentive despite their need to walk around lots of corners.

We came for Valentines. Brought my 83 yr old dad. It was amazing! Chocolate cake, flan and the best food! Jorge was a great server! He makes great margaritas and is actually a bar tender too. The guacamole looked amazing! Hands down the flan is sooooo good! I loved the queso too and it's enough to share! If you want to impress bring them here. Soooo good! Can't wait to come in the summer to sit outside!

This is a very authentic place. We had good service. We started with the tablesiide guacamole. I prefer my guacamole with less "stuff" in it, to better taste the avocado, and it was very salty. Alternating bites of salsa helped. We then shared the crab enchiladas, husband liked. I guess i prefer my crab so that it's the star, not with a lot of cheese. They were served with good black beans and my favorite-corn!

Lovely restaurant in Santa Fe, NM! My husband is in Santa Fe for a long work project, so I tagged along with him for a few days. Nearby, there aren't a lot of restaurants but I found this one on Yelp. Front desk clerk also said it was very good, so we decided to check it out. Came during an off hour, around 3pm, which was probably a good time, since they were still busy but not as busy as I'm reading peak times can be, according to Yelp reviews. Very comfy interior, very pleasant. We read that the fresh guacamole is the highlight here, which my husband was looking forward to. A lady came to our table with a cart and made fresh guac in front of us. It was like a cooking lesson too. :) Now we know how to make fresh guac at home. :) I got the carnitas burrito and husband got the Puerto Vallarta. We ended up sharing the Puerto Vallarta and saving the burrito for my lunch the following day. The Puerto Vallarta was delicious! The chicken, shrimp and cheese were wonderful, paired with the rice. The prickly pear lemonade was pretty good also. Met the manager as well as his family member (I can't remember if it was his sister or cousin?)---both were extremely welcoming and kind. They even gave us some flan to celebrate my husband's birthday. There's a lovely outdoor patio area, which seemed very popular. We opted for an interior table, so we didn't have to worry about flies (though there was one pesky one hovering around us). They're closed on Tuesdays but we can tell this place must be very popular with locals and visitors! Highly recommended if you're in the area.

The table side guacamole was delicious, basically a must at Gabriel's. Outdoor seating with lots of shade. Excellent food, excellent service.

This wasn't a good experience. I ordered crab enchiladas and got sweet potato instead. I met the lady in front of me whose order I tasted. I asked for chips as compensation and got none.

Came with friends, this time we ordered the guac, fresh made by the table so you can customize it, we added extra jalapeño into it to have a bit more kick. The crab enchiladas are really good, but they do have cilantro mixed inside the crab meat, be aware for people don't eat cilantro because they are not just on the top. The service was really good, our waitress is very nice. Make sure to order their fountain drink, we had the melon drink it was very refreshing for hot summer

A true hidden gem with a beautiful courtyard that creates an authentic and inviting ambiance. The service was friendly and attentive, the food and drinks were excellent, and both the salsa and tableside guacamole were highlights. I got the Platonde Carnitas - pork well seasoned, served on a sizzling skillet, and plentiful - excellent. Everything about the experience was enjoyable, from the atmosphere to the quality of the meal. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to others.

Would never come back again. ============= This review got flagged by Yelp HQ, let me rewrite this and be clear of what happened. I walked into El Callejon Taqueria and Grill, located on 208 Galisteo St Santa Fe, NM 87501 on Aug 22 2026. It was on a Saturday night, right before 9pm. This was my first weekend in the city of Santa Fe, on both Yelp and Google this location shows the restaurant closes at 11pm. When I walked in the bartender told me that it was closed. I wouldn't care that a business is closed before the listed hours; it was the way the bartender went about it. He could have politely told me that the kitchen was closed, and I would not have had any problem with it. He walked up to me within arm's length and continuously repeated "sorry we are closed" multiple times while getting closer to me. It was one of the worst experiences I have had to get escorted "asked" out of a restaurant. The experience was not good. To be clear I never get to try the food here.

They don't take reservations and although it was very busy we were seated within 10 minutes. My friends raved about the "swirl" margaritas (Santa Fe classic, apparently) so we got a frozen margarita flight. We were able to adjust the drinks in the flight- they even made me a frozen spicy margarita although that wasn't technically on the menu. Very helpful wait staff. We shared the flautas and loaded nachos. Both were rich but fantastic. We asked for both with a side of green chiles (highly recommend). The flautas came with sopaipillas which were fresh, soft and YUMMY. (They even brought two more when we asked!) This is a vibrant place to come for special occasions or even a nice family dinner. Highly recommend especially if you're visiting!

Hmmm...food was not as impressive as the first time. This…read morewas our second time at Sazon--my partner brought me here for a surprise birthday dinner. The atmosphere is upscale and beautiful--love the decor and artwork. The service was on point; our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food this time was just ok, except for the Sopa de Amor: Chef Olea's signature soup--that was heaven in our mouths. The steak (Popocatepetl: spicy black pepper crusted aged angus beef tenderloin / red cabbage and snow peas in cilantro vinaigrette / jasmine rice) we shared looked nothing like the description. Either our server was clueless regarding gluten-free, because this wasn't up to our standards for a high-end restaurant--the flavor wasn't the same as we remembered from several years ago, and the steak (medium rare) inside was colder--not room temperature, so I ended up not eating all of mine. Plus we had to ask for rice--which should have come with our meal since there isn't flour or any ingredients that would have made this harmful to me. Also, the side of asparagus it came with wasn't bright green and crispy--it was yellowish and flimsy-looking and tasting. For the price, this should have been more on point than what it was. We had split a steak, shared a soup, had a bottle of wine, two glasses of champagne, and a dessert--oh, and a $12 split change (something they suggested--even though my partner and I were fine eating from the same plate)...the bill was almost $400 with tax & tip. The dessert however, was presented beautifully with mixed berries and a liquor which was then lit on fire--a festive dessert option since I have a gluten allergy. There are so many wonderful restaurants. Unfortunately, the food did not leave us craving to come back for more. If the service and decor wasn't so impressive, Sazon would have received one stars.
