What an amazing place to visit when in Santa Fe at the Plaza! Always busy for dinner weekdays and weekends so make reservations or go early to get on the waiting list or you can wait 1.5 hrs. You can also sit at the bar counter and get food but seating is limited. Bar tables are drinks and bread/chips only. We got the locally brewed beer, garlic bread (non greasy) and shrimp skewer appetizer, then shared the blue corn tacos plate with one turkey sausage and one baked chicken and both red and green sauces. The flavors were amazing, quantities huge. I give it a 10/10. I also saw folks ordering the chicken enchiladas which looked good. The bartender was super communicative and helped us with drinks and menu suggestions.

Santa Fe Staple... Love the vibes of this place, and the food is consistent. I got the #10, which is a beef taco and a cheese enchilada. I got the enchilada Christmas style, which means half red half green sauce. Flavors were good, but the taco ended up being like another enchilada since it fell apart. Posole included is great, but not the biggest fan of their beans. Service was great today. Hostess has been the only problem the last few times I've come. Will be back.

Cute place. Definitely allow for waiting times. We went at noon on a Monday and there was a line to put our names in. 20 min wait and stores nearby so not bad of a wait. Food was good. Not great so not sure why the hype. Queso was good. Frito Pie was good. The red chiles are not spicy at all fyi. They are known for their chicken enchiladas with red chiles. They were good. Service was good and great location.

It's lunchtime & we're hungry. Someplace new is the goal and here we are. There was a line - quoted 30, seated @ 20 mins. They have both outdoor & indoor seating, we are on the patio. When a few drops of rain fell, up went the umbrellas. Almost all outside tables were covered. Menu selections were not the standard fare. Hmm never had a baked taco before. Started with the trio appetizer. Chips, salsa, guac & queso. Queso's consistence was good, a long way from the runny stuff we've had at some places. Enchilada - Taco plate for me. Enchilada flavorful, taco w/turkey green chili meat baked with melted cheese on top also had good flavor. I was expecting the meat to be a little dry, it wasn't. The green chili added to the flavor. The lunch came with posole. It was served on the plate instead of a bowl. The Mrs opted for the Adovado plate. The pork was tender with good flavor and not overly spicy. She also reported the enchilada was flavorful. Both meals come served with garlic toast it was hot and had really good flavor. Our server stayed on top of our needs. Excellent meal - tho still on the fence about the baked taco.

Loved this place! We grabbed a spot on the lovely patio because we had a dog with us. It was perfect. The food was so good (hubby and I both had enchiladas with red sauce). I had a couple different margaritas. They were good but nothing special.

Nice lunch yesterday at The Shed! For starters we got chips with salsa and queso! The queso blew me away! Probably the best I've had! I also had a refreshing Pilsner beer and my husband had a lime Ricky mocktail. The kale salad was pretty good! Nice and simple. My husband got the spinach and cheese enchiladas which were quite spicy! Server took good care of us, although it seemed chaotic at times. We always end up eating here when visiting. The food and ambience are nice, but I really don't get the crazy hype?

Lunch Monday at The Shed. We have tried on past visits to Santa Fe to eat at the shed, but always passed due to the long lines and wait times. My brother-in-law said suck it up, get in line. The wait will be worth it. So we did, and the line, that was through the courtyard and down the side walk moved rather quickly. Probably about 30 minutes. The venue is historic and rustic. It's close to the histroic plazza. It's a lively happening place with a high energy vibe. The bar area is not overly large and the restrauant layout is a bit of a maze, but it is charming. We started with a cup of pozole that we shared. It was good but indistinguishable from all the other pozole that I have had. I ordered two blue corn cheese enchiladas topped with red chili sauce. They were very good. They would have been excellent except the ends of the tortias were dried out. Once beyond the dried ends they were very favorable and enjoyable. They were served with garlic bread, which I thought was a bit odd. I'd like to know the story on how garlic bread made its way to the menu? Jan ordered huevos Ranchero. She was a happy camper, said it was excellent. The service was good. The noise is on the high side. The restrauant was slammed, contributing to the high noise. The prices are moderate. On the down side, and a flip of the script, there was a line for the men's room, but not for the women's. Don't know what's in the ladies room, but the men's is a one at a time. All in all, the shed is very good and worth the wait.

The Shed absolutely delivered. I went with the tamale plate with chile on the side, and it was exactly what you want when you're in Santa Fe--simple, authentic, and packed with flavor. The tamales were spot on--perfectly steamed with a great texture and a rich, savory filling. You can tell they know what they're doing. Getting the chile on the side was the right move too--it let me control the heat and really appreciate the depth of the sauce. Both the red and green brought that classic New Mexico flavor without overpowering the dish. Rice and beans were solid, nothing flashy, just done right. The whole plate felt balanced and satisfying. Atmosphere had that warm, old-school Santa Fe vibe--busy but in a good way. Service was quick and friendly even with a crowd. If you're downtown and want legit New Mexican food, this place is a must. I'd order this exact plate again without thinking twice.

The Shed is one of those restaurants that you'll see recommended on every publication, so it does get packed. You'll need to make dinner reservations weeks out but we arrived at opening for lunch and were seated right away after waiting in a short line. The lunch menu is almost the same as the dinner menu so you won't be missing out. The space was cute, service was great and the food was tasty, but a lot of it is the same New Mexican style dishes that you can get at most restaurants. That being said, we did really enjoy the flavors of the food. The Green Chile Stew is an absolute must as a precursor to any main dish and I enjoyed the crusty bread they served alongside it. We also shared a taco plate--one with beef and one with chicken. I loved the blue corn tortillas and the posole they include on every dish.

Santa Fe Classic I've been enjoying The Shed for longer than I can remember and keep coming back. The no nonsense menu, the bright walls, the margaritas, and of course the people you meet while waiting for your table or while sitting at the bar. This a more than a restaurant it's an experience. The wait can be hours but I would say worth it for their enchiladas.

Had lunch here while visiting Santa Fe- what a cute spot! We ate on the patio with our dogs- there is also indoor seating. The service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. The food was great. We went on the recommendations of our server- not too spicy for my husband! I'd definitely go back- we didn't have a margarita but they looked good.

The pictures are about all I could get and I will probably not try eating here again. We were from out of town and called to explain twice to get a table for just two people. Two point five hours wait two day in a row, and couldn't even get a break to eat at this restaurant. Our win, because we discovered Cafe Pasquale in the area that had immaculate food! Win win!

Kind of a must when in Santa Fe. Anything with pork and green chile will make your day and set the expectations high for the trip. Intense flavors and decor, this is a great first stop when in Santa Fe.

Do they offer Carne Adovada at dinner?

Not seeing this on menu but this place overall is a notch above the rest.

Are they pet friendly or do they have outside seating?

I'm uncertain whether they are pet friendly. But they do have an outdoor patio so there is a potential.

Definitely the best bar we visited in Santa Fe…read more When we arrived there was still seating at the bar so we promptly sat ourselves there. We ordered a charcuterie and cheese board which was much larger than expected and had plenty of local options. I started with a See You At Dusk, which was a combo of Melleti, souchu, balasmic, ginger and walnut. I found it to be a very flavorful drink that paired well with the board. I next tried a Bywater which was rum, falernum, genepy and Averna. It was a very deep and rich cocktail which I also enjoyed. The bartender was very friendly and offered us small samples of a few unusual items they stock. Overall a very fun experience.

Did tears of certainty spark his eyes as he sat under those moody lights, standing firm that yes So Long, See You Tomorrow needs not one or two but three different types of sesame- what did he feel? What did intend to bankroll? And the sickest joke of all- the Bellow's Breath- a bone broth mocktail like some crystal cup of soup. Was that beverage intended to pogo stick my friend off the proverbial wagon into the depths of glugging Long Island ice teas just to feel something familiar again? Because it did. And my heart aches for that friend but I too would lose my mind if I were to stare into such a void and see whatever it is that stares back. Was this menu the vision of a team- a baffling Frankenweenie invented by committee- or the secret wish of one troubled mind? I see it all so clearly and yet I can't help but doubt my own memory. That many beets on such an expensive cocktail menu? Who salts blueberries? This total disregard for the green chile cult that runs this city like a delicious cabal? Had no drink technician ever walked from front door to car, inhaled the piñon perfumed air outside and thought, I can do something with that. I don't know what happened and I don't think I ever will but I know I did not like it. Also the bartenders were vacant and so confused that human beings wanted to order cocktails in a cocktail bar.

A tasting of five moles was then brought to the table along with mini tacos to sample and choose which we wanted with our entre. I was partial to the red and New Mexico. As an appetizer I chose the foie gras which was slightly undercooked and had a bit too much berry compote. My entree was the seared duck breast which was also undercooked and difficult to cut.
