Clearly, it does not show anywhere that it comes cold or you need to heat it up
    R S.

This place might be solid, but I placed an order on Uber Eats for a ham and cheese croissant, and they sent it cold, and when you are staying in a hotel and don't have anywhere to warm it up that becomes absolutely irrelevant to order via Uber eats and pay all of those fees to not be able to enjoy it... Just a reminder to this business that people ordering on Uber eats are generally ordering something to eat right then and there so heating it would make the most sense otherwise you should have an option during the ordering process on Uber Eats where the customer has to select heated or Unheated. In the end, it was just a waste of money, and I threw it out so I'm sharing the disappointment and hopes they can improve their practices.

Local French bakery. They sell macarons, pastries and cakes. They have a good variety. The employee was prompt and courteous. The desserts are so beautifully created. The details and the effort can be seen in how they decorate them and layer it with interesting flavors. I got few macarons and pastries. They were really good. I'd love to try the others as well I did find it to be a little pricey. Parking can be a challenge in the area but I did get lucky with it.

Amazing little French pastry shop we went to last weekend in Pittsburgh. We were down at the Phipps Botanical and found this place close by. The two people working that day were very helpful. They make amazing treats. They look as good as they taste. They even gave us a recommendation for lunch. They told us about the Ramen House across the street. One of the best Ramen meals I've had. I highly recommend both places!!

Love their sweets! Always a solid place to get good quality macarons with a decent price. They have great chewy cookies and they have seasonal flavors which are nice too. Also love their canelé, very chewy on the outside and soft and creamy inside. Their cakes and pastries are not bad either, but I order their macarons more.

It's so cute and clean inside, and honestly that and the macaron displays brought me in. I got a pack of 6 macarons and a lemon meringue tart. There were so many flavors I wanted to try but my eyes are also bigger than my stomach.

They have the best macarons in town! Pictured is the lemon tart which is my favorite, the raspberry tart, and orange pastry. They all have a unique flavor that's delicious.

Now, I typically don't like sweets but these patisseries were incredible. Everything was so light, fluffy, and the perfect balance between sweet and flavorful. Cannot choose a favorite out of what I had. If you have any reason to treat yourself, definitely go get something from here. Even if you typically aren't a dessert person, this place is worth it. Nothing I had was over the top sweet but still enjoyable, full of flavor, and unique.

Such a cute little shop. Staff was friendly and helped us decide what would work best for us. Absolutely phenomenal macarons- I can't wait to go back and try something different!

Highly recommend the new location of Gaby Et Jules in East Liberty!! The desserts are artistically made and magnificently delicious. Although the options can be overwhelming, you could never make a wrong decision here--everything is so good! I must also commend the fantastic service at this bakery. We got excellent recommendations as we drooled over our options and our treats and coffee were delivered to our tables, which was an incredibly sweet gesture. I got the Paris-Pittsburgh with a small coffee. My dessert was decadent in every way--the mix of the hazelnut and toasted almonds in the form of a puff made every bite heavenly. Near the end, I started getting a sugar rush, but I was able to temper it well with coffee. This is a great shareable treat! My friend equally enjoyed her Lemon Tartelette, which tasted as amazing as it looks. The burst of flavor from the lemon filling + the soft crust is refreshing and keeps the dessert light!

Crossaint was good , coffee was ok. Latte was good. Ham n cheese crossaint was not microwaved enough so had to go back and heat it up. Packaging was good.

Came in for a quick dessert after lunch and it was amazing. I ended up choosing the pear cheesecake because the man working there said it was one of their most popular items. It tasted just as good as it looked, see the attached pic.

This is an odd sort of review, because the only chocolates I've eaten from here were the ones she tutored us to create. And...well...they were magnificent. So rewinding a bit... I was looking for gift idea for SB. A friend at work pointed me to a link to a listicle or PG article about a chocolate making class. I'd never heard of it before. Completely in the weeds. When I went to A519's webpage, it was not intuitively obvious to me where I could go to sign up. BUT...it's listed under "products"...https://shop.a519chocolate.com/products/private-truffle-making-class There...I made a link for you. If you love chocolate, or you love someone who loves chocolate, this class was really fantastic. It broke down a bit like this...(2 hours) 1) Introductions/qualifications/backstory (5 minutes) 2) Presentation about cacao to chocolate...bean to bar. Terminology, taste, geography (10-15 minutes) 3) Tasting...taste various types of "raw materials" used to make chocolate truffles, white chocolate, dulce, milk chocolate, various percentages of dark chocolate up to 85% (20 - 30 minutes) 4) Making chocolates (the remainder) Informative, entertaining, delicious, and satisfying. It's a working kitchen, but doesn't take up a ton of space, so a six person class can be a bit cramped, but not uncomfortably so. There was plenty of space for each couple to follow instructions and hands-on. We first decorated molds using cocoa butter sprinkles (a la Jackson Pollock), then painted with an air brush, then made ganache and tempered chocolate and poured and scraped, cooled and broke molds, each couple taking home 24 BEAUTIFUL truffles. SB likes 'experience gifts', and this one was a great experience for us both. And the truffles WE made were amazing, so I can't imagine how good the ones Amanda (owner/chef) produces would be. Strongly encourage (think: valentine's day gift).

They recently opened a pop up shop in central Lawrenceville which will be open through Feb 2018. When I arrived I met Amanda Wright's husband who is in charge of the shop. Chocolate truffles come in different size boxes and are very expensive. You can still order from Amanda either on-line or call her shop where she produces them if you are unable to come out. Boxes range anywhere from two to a box for $4.00 to about fifteen in a box for $30.00. Although they are grouped by category such as caramels, you are permitted to mix and match to your liking. I decided to opt for a champagne filled truffle and a dark chocolate one. They were box very nicely and I ate them when I got home. Believe me as always they are to die for! These chocolates are to be savored. Wine pairing also helps you enjoy the flavors better. I don't mind have to shelve out a little extra cash when I know something is extra special and believe me I have never been disappointed in any or their high end chocolates. If you are able to get to central Lawrenceville during the holiday season this place is a must if you want to get some of the best candy in the city. Amanda can also custom design a box using sports teams or beautiful art. This makes a great gift for someone who is indeed a chocolate lover.
