Gaby's has fallen off the good pizza list. They use to be so great, but the last two times I ordered was awful. It looked good, but looks are deceiving. On 11/6/25 I ordered half extra cheese and pepperoni. Looks amazing right. Now look at the bottom. BURNT PIZZA. Yes that is what I paid $33.00 for. No more I will make my own pizza if I feel for pizza. Soon I will have my own restaurant everyone and you can come and eat at my place the way I'm striking out with food lately :(. For yeeeeeeears I used to hear about this pizza and I finally tried it. I actually tried it twice to make sure my review would be off of more than one experience. Both times the pizza was the same quality. The pizza is good BUT NOT AT ALL the best. If we're judging off of Queens alone is #4 on my list. If we're judging off of NYC altogether its top 10. They even offered a few varieties of chicken to add to regular slices when asked (grilled, fried, buffalo) and they freshly sliced nice sized pieces to add on. May not be nearby but it worth a trip. Mid day they are busy, so you may want to go as soon as they open or during lulls. Or stand on line while you try to choose from so many options. Clean, courteous, food service hygiene evident. Came here after my Son-in-law Aunt (who lives around the corner) highly recommended this place. Sauce was good, crust was tasty and the cheese was delicious! Clean restaurant and have your mind made up before getting in line this place get's busy and people have places to go! LOL can you tell I wasn't prepared tehehehe BTW we reheated the pizza later that evening and it was still great - oven reheated. Anyhoo the grandbabies had the rainbow Italian Ice and they LOVED it. I don't understand the backlash ... maybe bc I never tried gaby's during their "prime" back in the day. I was more of a margheritas girl. Not to bring up their other competition. I feel compelled to write this review because I feel like I'm being gaslighted. I've ordered from this place so many times--plain pies, specialty pies, and everything in between--and I've been disappointed every single time. Yet, if you ask anyone around, they'll swear this is the best pizza in town, and they say it with absolute conviction. The pizza is borderline good at best. It's overly saucy and way too sweet, like they've taken San Marzano purée, diluted it with just enough water to make it spreadable, and called it a day. The sweetness is so overpowering that you can't taste anything else. At $20+ per pie, you're better off hitting up a Crown Fried Chicken spot--you'll pay less and get way more depth of flavor. And that's not even considering the horrible location. The plaza's parking lot is a nightmare--tight spaces, chaotic traffic, and nearly impossible to navigate without feeling like an accident waiting to happen. read more

I've been here before in my younger years (I'm still young ). I remember how someone loved their pizza so much. It's still pretty good. The place is very clean, spacious, and welcoming. I ordered 2 plain slices and 2 Sicilians. They also serve other Italian dishes such as pasta, which I'm eager to try. The other day I bought a slice and it was pretty good so today I bought a pie and it was just so so. The problem with Gaby's is the lack of consistency. Usually the sauce is a little sweet, today my pie has a sour tasting sauce. Some days the fresh garlic is great, today I can barely taste it. Sometimes the dough has no taste and is kind of floppy, my pie today has great dough. It's the overall lack of consistency that is disappointing. I've come to the conclusion that I have to try a slice first before I buy an entire pie because it absolutely depends on the day and who's making the pizza. read more

The option was between Mcdonalds or Gaby's Pizza, of course i went for pizza. They also have a parking lot which makes it alot easier for you to go grab that bite. At this certain time i was craving a Chicken and Broccoli Pizza. Now, i like pizza a certain way, the chicken has to be made a certain way, the broccoli has to be just right. It's so wonderful to be able to order food that is consistently excellent year after year. We ordered sausage roll, broccoli slice and baked ziti. Sooooo flavorful! I just don't get the hype and I've tried so many times with so many combinations but at best their pizza is mediocre. The crust has no taste to me, no salt, no butter, just flour. The sauce tastes like it came out of a can. The toppings are the only way to somewhat enjoy it. The only reason I've returned the few times that I have is because there's parking versus Margherita's on Jamaica and Guy Brewer that has no parking but better pizza. I tried the funnel cake fries which are nice but I found a random feather on a fry. It obviously must be me because their entire decor is a collection of awards and accolades and famous people that love their pizza and I cannot imagine why.
