I've been going to this dental office for 10 years. It takes months to get an appointment and then the receptionist, Janet, called almost 90% of the time to reschedule my appointment due to "scheduling issues." I've stuck with them because they are close to me, and they have late appointments. I've been VERY flexible with their rescheduling issues. But, no more. I had to drive my daughter to a funeral at the last minute (which was far away) so cancelled my appointment an hour before appointment time because I actually forgot because of the funeral drama. I explained this to the office manager, Janet, and she rescheduled my appointment (for over a month away). She told me that it was considered "a missed appointment" and I would have to pay $65 per my insurance. Whaaat???? I explained that I was sorry, but the funeral (and drive) was on my mind and I simply forgot. I also explained that the dental office constantly reschedules my appointments because of their own scheduling conflicts...and they do this at the last moment. I also explained that I've been a customer for 10 years and have been very flexible with their scheduling issues at the last minute. Janet (office manager) then explained that $65 is charged if I have 3 missed appointments. Ok, fine. This is #1 missed appointment. Then, she called me back the next day and said I had to pay $30 for the "missed appointment." There is NO policy about missed appointments posted in the office. I asked to speak to the dentist. The dentist cut me off when I explained that I was busy with the funeral/driving and forgot about the appointment. I also explained that I've been a customer for 10 years, and that the office is constantly rescheduling my appointments for their own issues. I asked if he could make a one-time exception. He said, "How am I suppose to pay my dental hygienist?" This is a horrible business practice and horrible communication. I found a new dentist already. Do not go to this office. read more

If I could I would give this so called lack of dental office a no star, Janet the front desk receptionist was not only rude but very unprofessional and inconsiderate, it took them over 7 months to pre authorize my mother's dental treatment. I called earlier in the year approximately 3mo after she had been seen by the dentist and they had told me they were still in the process of confirming the results from her insurance, after calling again in late August Janet told me with an unprofessional attitude that she needed to speak with the doctor about her dental treatment nothing but run arounds, finally 7mo later they said she was approved for her dental treatment but at an out of pocket cost of $2325 for an unnecessary surgery all this waiting after my mom going through her stress and discomfort we come to find out they NEVER DID THEIR JOB! No dental treatment authorization was never submitted please stay away from this place we feel discriminated as a customer and insurance preference read more

Great dental office. The staff and dentist are really wonderful. They are warm and caring regarding you your needs. I recommend them highly.

I've given this office a couple Chances. Unfortunately it's always a disappointment. The biggest part that is a disgrace is the so very unhappy bitter angry never smiling face of the office manager Janet. There's nothing nice to say about the rest of the staff either. However Janet is the biggest WITCH ( & THAT'S AN UNDERSTATEMENT) of all time! She's very rude and speaks to people condescendingly. She even yells at the doctor's as if she is above them. She has zero respect or anyone in her office staff. They all hate her too. She does no good for the office other than getting them paid. It is literally so dark in that office like I would imagine hell to be. She has a very sloppy appearance if she doesn't look clean what makes you think this office is very clean ? Why do they keep such a miserable bitter unhappy person in the front office!!!? ***Zero*** personality. She's nickel-and-dimes patients and says she's giving them a 15% off discount, but that is something that they say to all of their patient's. My family and I have been coming to Dr. Gad for several years. Him and his staff have always been so kind and accomadating. They really care about their patients and I trust them 100%. They take the extra time to explain everything thouroghly and give the best care. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any friends and family in need if a dentist. read more

Im only marking one star because zero or negative stars arent avaliable! This is a gold digging lying unethical dentist whose front desk staff drops the ball on doing their job and then will lie to cover up their mistakes. I took my son in to have a check up...he is 18 but still has full benifits medical dental coverage. After being evaluated he was told his insurane wouldn't cover anything...needed root canal and 5 filling was given a quote of almost $4000. Then the dentist back tracked and said the insurance would cover fillings but won't cover the $50 gel requided to be applied to each tooth or the filling could not be performed. I have never heard of a $50 "gel" and neither did our insurance company. My son then asked can I just get my cleaning since that is covered...then dentist didn't have time for cleaning but was gonna do the fillings. We left no work done, I called the insurance company as soon as we got home to ask why there was no coverage...I told her all that happened the insurance informeded me all work was covered, she put me on hold to get their side of the story. The dentist office lied and said they didnt have my sons birth date correct in the computer and it was all just a misunderstanding! Total lie on their part because the estimate of work bill they sent home with us had his correct birthday printed on it which was befor the "misunderstanding". Also on the bill there were more expensive things priced on there with a note saying patient agreed to upgraded services...also total lie...my son didnt agree to any of it. Beware of this dentist/office staff...unethical, lying cheats...no morals! Im also turning them into the board of denisty and the BBB. read more

Hands down the best dentist & this is coming from someone that has always been terrified of the dentist. I was recomended to Dr.Gad by my husbands family 15 years ago. I came in super scared and he put all those fears aside. He is super sweet, calms me down, always makes sure I'm not in any pain and does the best work. He corrected so much of my previous dentist's work and I'm super happy with everything he's done, which is lots. He's such a great dentist and I always recommend him, plus his staff is always super nice and friendly. The office recently got an update with Netflix in each room which is a nice little distraction when getting work done. If you're looking for a new family dentist, give him a try! read more

Janet, the receptionist billed me twice for my husbands replacement tooth. The tooth they replaced broke the second week he had it, when I brought this up to them they simply said there was nothing they can do and had to pay for it again! She also billed me for work I had done, yet my insurance covers the work. That was another battle. Over the years there service has gone down hill. Now looking for a new dentist. read more

I have been a patient of the Drs. Gad since we arrived in SoCal several years ago. The office was recommended by a colleague and we have had consistent good service. I have a million things wrong with my teeth so I am constantly in need of dental care and I have received good service from the folks in this office. It can take months to get an appointment for a cleaning and (hence the four stars instead of five), but when I have needed quick attention or had any kind of dental emergency they have been great about fitting me in promptly. I would recommend Gad to others - in fact, i did recommend it to my mom and now she is a patient too. read more

Both Dr. Alina and Dr. Magdy Gad are Excellent dentists! They are extremely well skilled and very kind and caring. I have challenging dental concerns and every time I have needed their help, they have saw me through from start to finish. If you need extremely skilled and wonderful dentists to care for your teeth, you could not be in better hands. Their office staff are efficient and terrific in helping you as well. The first time I took my kids there we waited in the waiting room for over an HOUR before I finally walked out because I had to be somewhere else. I rescheduled thinking I would give them another chance. All the while the receptionist at the front desk was rude to me, but what bothered me even more was that she was horribly rude and disrespectful to the young girl working beside her. So now it's time for their next check up, and the receptionist on the phone tells me that only one dentist in the office sees kids, and only on Monday mornings. I prefer my kids not miss school, but she was inflexible. She even told me the other dentist in the office won't see children. My kids are 15 & 17-not babies! Anyway, when I said "Why does the one dentist that sees children only see them in the morning? Kids go to school!" she said that's "office policy." Gimme a break! When I said "well I guess I'll be going to a different dental office," she said "ok." and literally hung up on me. Don't need the disrespect and frustration I've had with every interaction with this office! read more
