The portions of fries are hugeeeee. I wasn't ready. The topping and crispy pork is delicious. Wasn't able to Finish them which they had a smaller version. Ordered the burger which had an ube bun. Delicious!! They do have a big parking lot paid about 30bucks I think. It's very small inside with maybe 6 tables and no AC so it's hottt. They do play good music and service is fast. They have a michoacana next door where I bought an agua Fresca

Multiple trips over the years. All items are bangin! Hot Honey Chili Garlic Bowl is pure fire. Crispy chicken drizzled with hot honey chili and garlic bits taking these flavors on a journey. Pickled onions and Korean cucumbers give you delicious change for your pallette, all on a bed of rice. The GUD Burger was a beefy, cheesy, greasy, tangy ride. I didn't get much from the ube milk bun, but it looked nice. If you eat the fries with it, get ready for a case of that itis.

Everything was yummy! Drove all the way down from Temecula. Definitely worth it. Wish I tried more

This spot has been blowing up on my feed--first on Instagram Reels, then in a GarethEats burger roundup--so my husband and I finally stopped by to see if the hype was real. Gud Solo Burger: Features a single Wagyu patty, sweet chili aioli, pickled red onions, and white American cheese on an Ube milk bun. I loved how soft the bun was, though the ube flavor was subtle. The thin patty matched my personal preference, but it was unfortunately a bit overcooked. The sweet aioli and tangy onions paired well together, making for a decent burger, though it didn't quite live up to the massive social media hype. Sidewinder Fries: A total highlight! They were a touch heavy on the salt, but brushing a bit off revealed an exceptionally crispy exterior with a soft, fluffy center. Absolutely delicious. Ube Churros: Another heavily hyped item that fell short. The churros were overly crisp and dry on the inside, the ube flavor barely came through, and they forgot to include the ube dipping jam. Lumpia: Crispy, delicious, and tasted truly homemade. Easily one of the best parts of the meal. Overall, it was a mixed bag, but the potential is definitely there. I'd come back to give them another shot and hopefully get that "wow" factor next time!

Came here because I saw a dude cover it on YouTube and thought maybe an ease up on the hype...had the Gud Burger and gotta say it's my new favorite burger! Wife had the Short Rib bowl and took home some Ube Churros, de delicious. What the establishment itself lacks was easily forgotten about with delicious food and prompt service, very kind people. This place deserves all the success!!! Lucky to be local so I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu

    1. Ample parking space, small dining area 2. Welcomed greeting, ordered right away 3. Sisig Bowl is a must, the Kare Kare Bowl is also delicious, but the short ribs were better on their own (vinegar optional). Large portions for the price too! 4. Had NFL Football on the TV 5. Chill, youthful vibes Definitely give this restaurant a try, especially if you liked White Rice once in the Liberty Station Public Market. We would be regulars here if it weren't so far from us.

Chicken and beef short rib bowls. Macaroni salad.

Ordered take-out tonight at Tambayan based on a recommendation from a friend. We ordered the beef short rib bowl on garlic rice with a side of pickled cucumber, the chicken bowl on rice, and a macaroni salad. We loved both bowls equally. The beef ribs had a delicious, sweet/soy flavor (but different then teriyaki). The beef riblets were extremely juicy and tender, with a nice char (scored 5 out of 5)! The boneless chicken thighs were also marinated in a yummy sauce, grilled, which made for a very tender, flavorful bite, (scored 5 out of 5). The macaroni salad was just ok, (3 out of 5). Nice large servings. TAMBAYAN FILIPINO will definitely be added to our Friday night rotation!

I had seen this spot on IG and decided to swing by post-hike for all out food feast. My experience was mixed. They are known for their güd burger and rightfully so- it's beefy, cheesy melt-in-your-mouth goodness with the delicious uber milk bun and had I just grabbed this to go and ate it in my car this review would be a solid five golden stars. The sisig fries on the menu say they're made with waffle fries but we got regular fries that tasted more on the stale side. The pork belly seemed doubly fried and was very dry, with the fatty bits sticking to the back of your teeth. The sauce and flavor profile of this was good and this dish could be a knockout if those two ingredients were improved upon. We dined in, and I have to say this establishment needs a deep cleaning. There are darkened grease stains on the curtains/doors/etc which have been handled repeatedly. We watched the staff wash their hands by lightly dribbling their fingertips in water then handling food. Again, this can be improved but for my experience I'm not inclined to revisit

This place as freakin amazing! Fernan was super helpful and recommended so many good things off the menu. Ube burger was fire. Not greasy and it's a good small size. Great meat to bun ratio. There's a slice of cheese in there that gives it a hint of cheesiness but not overbearing. Like you wouldn't know there's cheese in there but you know it's there. So delicious. Sisig fries were good. Lechon was crunchy with pieces of lean & fatty chunks in it. Comes with a chipotle aioli or something but it's a great add on. Topped with a sunny side up egg that I could have gone without but still good. Longanisa Crunchwrap is good if you like Longanisa. Has crispy melted cheese on top of the tortilla that is so good. I'm not a fan of sweet meats but if you are then it's definitely for you. Has pieces of hot Fritos in it for a crunch. I liked the fresh salsa on the side. Ube churros were fireeeee! A little too much cinnamon but I just scraped some off. Churros were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Like Disneyland churros.

    Kare Kare Bowl- beef

We had a great meal! The Gud Burger served on an ube bun was absolutely perfect--juicy, flavorful, and the ube bun added a unique touch that made it even better. The Kare Kare bowl is definitely not your traditional kare kare, but it's a fantastic take on the classic. The sauce was rich, creamy, and packed with delicious peanut flavor. It's a creative twist that's absolutely worth trying. We also ordered the lumpia, which was perfectly crispy and incredibly tasty. To finish, we had the ube churros, and they were the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Everything we tried was delicious, and the creative Filipino-inspired dishes really stood out. Definitely worth a visit! The staff and service were awesome. They checked in on us and asked how we were doing during our meal.

Tambayan is a great spot for good fusion Filipino food. So don't miss out and check this place out! Very spacious parking lot when arriving and next to other businesses. Inside is not huge and limited seating so just keep that in mind especially if you come at a busy time and if you plan to eat there. The owner and staff were amazing and manages great when super busy to be able to serve everyone accordingly. Upon, arriving all tables were taken and able to order and wait outside till the food was ready. A few items couldn't try because sold out but the other options on the menu were amazing as well. Got the Longanisa smash, sisig bowl, and beef tapa bowl. Go and try Tambayan Filipino bbq & grill!!

Came here to celebrate the Dodger World Series win. Cool guys working and even tastier and awesome food. I tried the longanisa smash (not on the menu, but I saw it on IG), and it was amazing since I wasn't in the mood for rice (go figure). Ube bun is a nice touch. Good quality grub along with lumpia. It's a chill place, and it was packed when I came. I'll definitely come back again to try something else. Cheers!

Ultra-luxe Asian fusion restaurant by Brian Malarkey that feels more like it belongs in New York…read moreCity than San Diego. That's probably part of the reason why it's so popular. The food is bold and flavorful and the variety wide for all tastes. Here's what we tried. Apps: Tuna Kinilaw: small plate of sashimi style tuna with a delicious sauce. 5/5 Tuna Nam Khao: crunchy and bold but didn't really taste like tuna. 3/5 Hunan lamb chops: tender and flavorful meat popsicles. 5/5 Coal roasted cabbage: earthy and bold, more on the adventurous side, tastes like it sounds. 4/5 Wagyu corned beef fried rice: didn't taste like anything special. Somewhat disappointing. 2/5 Mains: Short rib kare kare: melt in your mouth tender braised, bold beef flavor. 5/5 Pork tomahawk tocino: unique presentation of a sliced slab of pork varying from some fat to fatty. 4/5 Perilla pesto tteokbokki: I give it a lot of style points but it's not the best dish. 3/5 Dessert: Peach sorbet: delicate contrast of peach and Matcha flavors with crunch texture contrast via an inventive coconut crumble. 5/5 Buko pandan: it's different, it's pandan, still good. 4/5 Sticky rice crème brûlée: who knew these two would make a good combination? I don't even like crème brûlée. 4/5 Chocolate cremeux: chocolate lovers rejoice. The chili candied cashews provide a wonderful contrast. 5/5 The restaurant is well staffed and the service very good, although you may need to flag people down at times.
