The reason I decided to go to them is that a friend has been using them for a while to repair her older Honda Accord, and they always treated her right. I saw a review by someone else bashing them for lack of service, but I happen to know that a couple of members of their family had some heath struggles a while back, and with this being a family owned and operated business, that was unfortunate and difficult. My guess is that this person got impacted by that, which is a shame, but I can say without question, that it was unusual, and not the way that this business is run. They are honest, and reliable, and that is not only uncommon these days, but it is of great importance! I will continue to do business with them.

After paying hundreds of dollars for the tow truck to deliver to the shop the owner BJ and his colleague informed me that he did not know how to repair the truck. BJ then tells me he has a friend he could call to repair the truck. He never called the friend and kept saying the friend was busy. He refused to give me the friend's info as promised, continuously lied about the status of the truck and parts, and eventually complained that I needed to stop hounding him because he doesn't have time to deal with it. After weeks of waiting I called a tow truck to remove my vehicle and BJ parked another vehicle in front of my truck and made up a bogus claim that I owed him money for storage fees and refused me my vehicle. To make matters worse, I call the police to assist me with the issue and they gave me a really hard time and sided with him without any legitimate reasons and advised him to go put a lien on the vehicle while I was there to retrieve it. He did not have any type of work order or contract( obviously because he couldn't repair it). There was never any mentioning of a storage fee prior to me trying to retrieve my truck. I would have reasoned and payed something, but BJ came up with an outrageous number. Unfortunately, there were signs I ignored in the beginning that showed I wasn't welcomed there, but I guess he knew he had plans to scam money from me. They took me right in. treated me like family. explained to me what was going on. it took them only a couple hours and they went straight to the problem after multiple shops couldn't find the issue. they fixed it at a affordable price. i have not had a problem with it since. i highly highly recommend this shop. Straight forward and direct…read more I've worked in the auto business for 20+yrs, and I've worked with some shady folks in those years. I've heard every line, and just about every excuse for not following through. I've dealt with junkyard and salvage yards hundreds of times, and these guys have been there for me multiple times (in both the old and new location). I needed an engine for my personal car this go'round, and of the two people I spoke with on the phone, they both genuinely seemed to care about what I was looking for, and when I needed it by. There was some confusion over one engine this, and another engine that, but that's because there was a communication gap between phone calls, and HPC cannot be blamed for this. Donor arrived at their site, then they pulled the engine and had me an engine the same day the donor arrived, and then a phone call to let me know it was ready for pickup. Cool. Being an old technician, I do all my own work, so I just needed them to source the engine this go'round. The mileage was written on the valve-cover, and the VIN plate was still attached so I could do some background check on the car it came out of. Neat. My only gripe is that the parking lot can be tough to get in and out of when they are busy, but that happens at every business, so it's no biggie. I'll be back when I need something else.

I feel that this shop has experience and knows how to talk to their customers. I recently moved from Marietta, GA, and needed to find a local shop. Due to several major life changes, I wanted to have a laundry list of maintenance services done to my car to prep it for the potential of going 10,000 miles before my next service. When I went to pick up my car, the shop manager said that they inspected some of the things on my car I wanted to replace, but said that it wasn't necessary, explained why, and sent me on my way with a much smaller bill. Also, they finished the work when they said they would. I've only been there once, and my wife hasn't had to deal with them yet (or should I say they haven't had to deal with my wife), so I'll hold off on the 5th star. So far though they seem like a good place and I'll update this review when I get more experience dealing with them. By the way, work was done on a 2006 Mazda3s.

Traveling 1.5 hours to pickup all parts were ready and packaged for pickup. Fast and courteous service! We walked through the inventory list and signed off on the items. The staff was accommodating and used the forklift to load our items as it weighed well over 900 lbs! My review focuses on the customer service and communication.
