We'd been looking for an F250 4Dr Long bed (an 8 foot not a 6) pickup truck for a couple months. The intent was for hauling, so we didn't want to pay the astronomical prices we'd seen elsewhere. We placed our request on several auto sites and one day this truck from JRS Auto Buyers popped up. It looked like something we could work with and the price was acceptable. We called Raymond and scheduled a viewing for the next day. He had the truck out, cleaned up and ready to roll. After inspecting and test driving, we decided we liked it. Very short interaction with these guys. We were already in the area and looking at cars and one that they had for sale popped up on our radar. We called and asked some questions about the vehicle and it was pretty close to our current location so we decided to swing by. They only had about 6 cars parked in front of a small office. It was easy to find the one we were looking for. Again, same as a lot of other lots we have been to, the pics did the car some justice and it wasn't as nice as the pics let on. We called him back, since nobody was outside, and let him know we'd be passing and skipped the test drive. please read notice:cheap and faulty car came w/oil leaks and im dealing with state fines go to another dealer you would think that the owner would be more patient in wanting to help his new customers rather this owner is rude, inconsiderate, unkind and he lies to get business. be prepared: this owner has called me brain damaged & dumb!! he has sold me a faulty vehicle with bad brakes and an oil leak!! when i first came to look at the vehicle it just had one dent in the back. we even test drove it & the brakes were working just fine. i asked about the dent and mild fixes which he assured me he would fix if i claim the car with a deposit (500.00). i agreed & paid a down payment (500.00). in the meantime i lost a family member and it was very hard to raise the rest of the funds. the owner did not care & even contacted me several times to warn me that my money will be forfeited if i did not come and pick up the vehicle on schedule (which he previously failed to disclose). i finally came back to pick up the vehicle with the remainder of the funds and i noticed that there was another dent on the vehicle and the brakes were squeaking. i asked him about the current dent and he lied stating that it was there the last time. i asked if bit was there last time why hasnt it been fixed as we agreed upon? he stated with great confidence that he definitely did fix everything then got agressive saying that he has "customers that spend more" therefore its all he can do; with his behavior i felt i was forced into an agreement which i could not go back on. pls dont make the same mistake as me. go to another deal it was later admitted to me that the dealer frequently drove the vehicle prior to me picking it up. this came to me as a realization that the dents and scratches were placed there by him only after i was coerced into making a non refundable deposit and down payment. he also had the car insured and did not tell me when he removed the insurance therefore i was forced to pay a penalty!! heres the catch : the dealer placed my previous address in the system to throw off the letters informing me of its insured status! please do not agree to this dealership registering your car for you. it is a scam. i beg you. g-o elsewhere! read more

DO NOT buy a car from this guy. He suckered us so bad. I had the car checked out by a third party and they warned me not to buy it. Ray said he would take it to his mechanic and have the issues fixed. He also offered to buy us a third party warranty. First - they did not fix the car. They put "stop leak" in it, which has caused even more problems. The "warranty" he threw in is not accepted by any reputable mechanics and no mechanics at all within 30 miles of us. The head gasket is blown and we have to buy a $12,000 new engine. He ripped us off and knew he was doing it. read more

Ray from JRS sold me a total lemon. I bought the car in June and left it at my mother's house while I went up to New York. While I was gone my sister checked on the car and the battery was dead. She jumped it and took it to Pep Boys where they had to replace the battery terminals. When I returned I drove the car back to Athens where it sat for a few days before I headed to Florida. I was about 60 miles from home in the middle of nowhere and the car started smoking. I pulled over, opened the hood, and discovered that there was no oil and no coolant. Luckily I had water, so I put that in the radiator and limped to the nearest auto store where I got coolant and oil. I continued on my way and arrived in Jacksonville where my car sat for a few days. When I drove it again it overheated, but luckily I had more coolant and oil. On the way home the gas pedal was not working correctly, sometimes it would go, sometimes it wouldn't, but I was able to get it to a Goodyear auto repair and they were aghast. They couldn't believe I had just bought that car and recommended that I contact the dealer when I got home. It had a huge crack in the radiator, I had to get a new one, along with spark plugs and some piston work. I spent over 2000.00 on this car I had just purchased. When I called JRS I asked if he had inspected the car or driven it, and he basically said no, he had given it the once over. He refused to help with any of the repairs and refused to accept any responsibilty for selling me a lemon. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM JRS. You will be sorry read more

I was looking for a van to start my new business. I liked the looks of a 2012 Nissan NV1500 JRS had on their website. Ray suggested that I look at the 2014 model even though it had a few more miles on it, he said it is a much nicer vehicle plus it had some additional features that the older model did not have. He was straight forward with all that he knew was wrong with the vehicle which was not much. The newer model was nicer in many ways. I did purchase the 2014 instead of the 2012. I'm going to forgo my $25 Visa gift card for a positive review that people receive from JRS and write about my less than stellar experience. I purchased a 2014 Hyundai Sonata from Ray. I noticed an issue and he said he is going to take care of it before I pick up the car. I was told by his assistant that he ordered the part needed to fix it. I arrived with the check after-hours on a Friday and his mechanic handed me the keys of the car. I drove less than 2 miles before the car broke down. I contacted Ray immediately and he exactly described the issues I was experiencing with the car. He then said that he had the ordered part still in his car. He never fixed it! On Monday he told me that the car was having a different issue and the engine sounded like it was about to die. To make a long story short, he never fixed the car and left me with a lemon telling me that I purchased the car "as-is" and that I should have known better. After he told me that the car isn't driveable anymore, he drove it himself off the front of the building where he conducts business and abandoned it on the side of the road with the keys inside. He said he didn't have room for it even though when I had it towed all parking spaces were empty. You decide if you want to buy from someone like that... read more

complete rip off! I got scamed pls go anywhere else. Ray is same old usual crooked junk car salesman. When I tried to return a completely unsafe car the next day (as agreed), after mechanic deemed total loss & undrivable, I got hit with $500. "restock fee" which was not what was discussed. Then to add insult to injury, the only option given was to choose another car from lot which turned out to be 5 out of 5 more junk autos all with problems. Ray refused to return down paymt ended up with over priced car that I did not want. All the cars I looked at were overpriced with hidden problems. Ray is dishonest with no sense of honor I feel so used & taken of advantage of. If you choose to do business with JRS get everything in writing bc Ray will not keep his word.
