I do recommend them for their customer service but bear in mind they are pricey; for 2 skirts, one trousers, one coat, one sweater and earmuffs I paid over $80.

Painful- cleaning wasn't needed- but I had to get rid of the moths. I paid to have them taken down, cleaned, and reinstalled. When reinstalled several panels had a hem missing. Installer apologized and took them back. I was unexpected charged for hemming, based on legal language "if due to age or humidity,..." blah blah. Not my case. New drapes, perfect conditions. I was not advised, just charged- when I challenged over email response was curt and said they weren't charging me for uninstall reinstall (despite the fact the new staff missed the hem failure- never mind cleaning undid the hem). 3 days ago I get a $350 charge for taking down and reinstalling drapes- for their mistake, written language saying I would not be charged, no advance warning of charge. No response to my email. In addition, the hem is not good- drapes are now dragging on the floor and shrinkage of wool fabric has caused this weird pinching on the bottom. The only bright spot was the guy who installed and took down the drapes. He is a superstar, but set to retire.... so I would expect further decline in customer satisfaction. Please.... find anywhere more honest, with better customer service and communication.

We spent over $1,000 here, and the best they could offer was $35 off both of the damaged drapery, which cost $140 each. I was not aware of how low the discount was until after speaking with them. We were told that because of the age and sun damage it caused the tearing. The one area where the seam is damaged does not even face the window, so saying that was the issue is not true. Since we signed a waiver that they make every customer sign before, we are fully responsible for the damage. I understand, but to give us that small a discount is a joke for the amount of business we gave them. When we received the drapery and installed it again, the damage is very noticeable. Now I have to find somewhere to repair the drapery since they did not even offer to fix it. For the price, this place is a joke! I have gone across the street many times and never had an issue for a fraction of the price. I will never return here and make sure anyone I know never goes as well. Update: Found a place to repair. It is over $700 to repair, and they noted that the drapery did not look very clean either. We are now paying to clean again and repair because this dry cleaner SUCKS!

I had accidentally dropped off a torn shirt without realizing it, and they reached out to be sure I knew it was torn before they wasted my money cleaning it. The costume is fairly big so I was concerned it may have been problematic to hold it for several weeks, but the owner said that it was fine. The costume smelled fresh and the color looked much more vibrant than before. The inner lining which was separate and detachable was much whiter than when I dropped it off. When I picked up the costume, the pieces were separated by color and folded, as applicable, into two separate bags. These are all good signs that it was properly laundered with care. The price was very reasonable and came out to $60, which was much cheaper than an estimate at a prestigious dry cleaner that was going to charge over $150. I highly recommend Woodley Garden Cleaners. Tips per two signs: -Wednesday Specials (dry clean service only): For every three garments dropped off on Wednesday, 1 will be discounted. -You can now make payments online before coming in for pick up.

My only nitpick is that it feels a little awkward to get the attention of the couple running the business if they're both not right up front. When i came back to grab my shirts, the lady (who I assume does the tailoring) looked like she was resting her eyes and the guy stepped out back to do something and was then in the back of the store for a few minutes. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind waiting (despite the kind of crappy Christian music playing on their radio) but they would really benefit from a family friend or just a third employee who is primarily up front to help coordinate, even if business is slow. They're super convenient for me and very affordable, so i'll be a repeat customer. Honestly, give them a shot for dry cleaning if you're nearby; don't believe the 8-10 year old negative reviews.

When this happens, I've always gotten the sense that there is resentment on the part of the owner who handles the alterations; almost a disbelief that she didn't nail it on the first try; she agrees to redo it begrudgingly. A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, I dropped off a pair of black Italian corduroy suit pants that needed to be taken in. I've had these pants for years, and actually had them take them out for me a few years back. A week later, I picked them up, just before Thanksgiving, when I was scheduled to wear them to officiate my sister's wedding. I tried them on the day before leaving for my trip, and they were still a full size too large in the waist, but there was no time to get them readjusted. That's fine; it's not the worst tragedy. But after Thanksgiving, I brought them back in, and pointed out that they were still much too large - a good inch around the waist. Mind you, I paid $45 cash in advance to have the pants altered. This isn't a cheap tailor. Rather than apologizing and agreeing to get it right, the owner who manages the customer service immediately challenged me -- intimating it must be some type of mistake on my part, explaining the complexities of the alterations in a way that made no sense, and even suggesting I might have lost weight over Thanksgiving (which is such a common occurrence, as we all know). Then she took another look at the pants and told me these were not the same black Italian corduroy suit pants I had brought in to be altered just two weeks earlier! To say that I was floored is an understatement. Again, I've provided them steady business over 15 years, and I'm a pretty friendly and pleasant person, just FYI. After I became agitated at being called a liar, not to mention the absurdity of finding some type of replica black Italian corduroy suit pants that had already been altered, she relented and agreed to fix the pants. I picked them up a week later, and they fit well. But to be treated with such blatant disrespect after providing business to this establishment for 10+ years is beyond insulting. I left there and made a vow I will never go back.
