He made a next day appointment for me on the spot. John arrived within the time frame promised. The plumber was working with elderly mother to review the damage to her pipes. My number was put down since my mom only has a house phone. 11:26am and I'm at work, the owner John called me and started the conversation by saying "maybe you can talk some sense to your mother". I followed up by saying excuse me did you say "maybe I can talk some sense to my mother", he said "yes, if you let me finish"..I stopped him and stated that was all I needed to hear and assured him I will review his business. There is no situation where any professional business owner should call anyone to tell them to talk some sense to their mother, I've met this man once in my life. Quick update almost 5 years later: John from Galaxy Plumbing is still phenomenal!!! Had him over last week for some work and he is as honest and communicative as a person can possibly be. Part of what we discussed was him clearing 3 sink and tub drains. He said that he could do them or I could spend $5 for a specific tool and do it myself. I did the latter. Not pretty but I saved a huge chunk of change!!! I've also recommended him to friends. They ALL say he's a 5 star guy. If you need a plumber just go with John at Galaxy. A few hours later, he called back and scheduled a service call for later that day. Nick called in advance of his arrival to provide a better time frame. They have completed service for us before on a rental property and I was happy to see the same level of service provided to us for our primary residence. My wife and I are basically new homeowners. We've been in our home roughly 11 months and it's her first house and my second. We've had a few plumbing issues crop up during this time and went with some larger plumbing companies in the past with ... I'll say mixed results. We wanted to try a smaller local company this time, because we were looking for a plumber we could trust and establish a rapport with to call on when we need them. I think we finally found our go-to company. We called Galaxy Plumbing in the evening and John fit us in for the next day. We had an issue with a clog somewhere affecting our entire home. Showers, sinks, tubs, toilets, dishwasher and washing machine ... all just suddenly started draining *very* slowly or not at all. Then the nastiness started when it started to backup into our basement. John swiftly identified what he thought the problem was on the phone; then confirmed it when he arrived here, and got to work sorting the problem out. John was a consummate professional. He was on time, friendly, communicative throughout the whole process, did exactly what he said he would do, told us what he couldn't do, answered every (dumb) question we had, stuck to his quoted price, and didn't try to upsell us on stuff we didn't need. He explained how to prevent our issue from happening again and gave us things to look out for to catch it earlier if it does happen again. After he was done fixing the problem, he cleaned up the mess he created in the process. This is something I've seen other plumbers leave up to the residents/home owners to do. I couldn't be more satisfied with John and Galaxy Plumbing. I know for a fact he's the first person I'm calling the next time there's an issue (or even an upgrade we want done), and I'll keep calling him until I get a *darn* good reason not to. read more

John came out to check my drainage problem after the recent storms caused flooding in my basement. He checked everything and explained how my system works and showed me what I could do myself and explained what I might need to so if the problem persisted as well as recommended what should be done for maintenance and what I could also do to upgrade. He spent a lot of time making sure I understood everything. And all of this was FREE! I really felt like I owed him for all that he did to make sure I knew everything about my complicated drainage system outside as well as the sump pumps inside.
