Then I came to NWLA. They have a beautiful curation of dresses, you can tell each piece was so thoughtfully picked to create a stunning collection. Jessica also was patient & knowledgeable - as I was trying on dresses and giving her real time feedback, she was pivoting the choices to better match what I wanted. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst bridal shopping experiences we've had. The dress selection was very limited, and many of the gowns were uncomfortable and itchy. The customer service was extremely pushy. The consultant repeatedly pressured the bride to like a dress, even saying she had "found the one" when she clearly hadn't. We were also pressured to take pictures when we really weren't interested, which made the experience uncomfortable. We also witnessed the consultant snap impatiently at another employee in front of us, which was awkward and embarrassing to observe. We traveled a long distance for this appointment, and my niece did not deserve this type of experience. The behavior made us want to leave, and we ultimately chose to go elsewhere. read more

I did not find either on my first visit, and I really appreciate that my stylist, Jessica, gave me the time to consider my options. After two more visits I found my complete ceremony look. This was the first day I tried on a wedding dress, and NWLA was unfortunately a really terrible and disappointing experience that left me in tears. When I arrived I was greeted by an unfriendly stylist who quickly asked me my budget. She didn't ask me about what I was looking for or where my wedding would be, and just told me she'd try to find me something in budget but that it would be very difficult as they have dresses in the range of $15-30k. It felt very scripted and judgmental. The other stylist then came over and told me I wasn't in the system or booked for the day. I showed my appointment email with the date and receipt of payment and they responded saying it wasn't possible and questioned me as if I was lying. The stylist then brought me into the room and told me she didn't believe in mistreating brides, and decided to squeeze me in and rush me through a few try ons. Throughout the process she told me I couldn't afford a lot of their dresses, told me I needed to work on my posture, and said I couldn't fit in a lot of their sample dresses (I am a size 6) and tried zipping dresses on me just to tell me they don't fit. They then asked me to leave early cause the next bride was there and I asked for a refund as I didn't get the full appointment I booked. The owner Nadia proceeded to yell at my mom and friend saying we were lying about our appointment being booked and said "get out" while I was standing outside crying. She was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I am truly in shock a business owner would treat a bride and customer like she did. As someone who has worked retail for over ten years, all it would've taken was telling me my appointment didn't sync properly in their system and they'd rebook me but instead they called me a liar, accused me of faking the booking, told me I couldn't afford their dresses, and didn't have sizes for me. Please clean up your act so another bride doesn't experience this kind of disrespect. read more

This was truly one of the worst experiences I've had dress shopping. The whole appointment was extremely rushed and although the stylists claimed they were "experts" in bridal fashion, they picked dresses that did not match what I had told them I liked. You aren't a bridal fashion expert if you can't heed your clients wishes lol. On top of it, we were kicked out right at the hour mark and not allowed to try more dresses because "another bride has an appointment." No one else was there - no bride was waiting her turn. We could have tried just one more dress. I was also weirdly pinched by the dress clips NUMEROUS times while the stylist was clipping the dresses to by body. I've been to other bridal stores and did not have that issue. Better training is required. Do yourself a favor and skip this store. The appointment price is not worth the boring and honestly rude experience you'll end up having. Nadia is AMAZING! Having experienced other "big name" wedding dress shops and feeling wildly out of place. Coming into Nadia's place was a breath of fresh air! Her new location is perfectly located, bright, cheery, & welcoming. This was the boutique vibe I was hoping for at that just fell short or felt forced at the other places we visited. I told her what I was looking for in a dress and she lit up and said, "This is the one". & sure enough, it was! I tried on a few others after the first one she suggested but, that first one was really, the one. And I gotta tell you, my body shape is extremely difficult to shop for. Also, The price for my dress was so reasonable I legit couldn't believe it at first. My gorgeous dress has set me back the least in the grand scheme of it. Not only all of that, she went above and beyond for me: My fiancée got a job offer which had us moving to northern CA, pre-wedding & before the final tailoring was done. (Total nightmare. Long story short I found my dream dress at a different bridal boutique in LA and they ended up being total unprofessionals as they sent in my measurements so wrong to the point it was unfixable with alterations, and they needed to order me a brand new dress. Going into wedding dress shopping, I was incredibly anxious and didn't think I would find a dress that I both felt good in and looked good in. (On top of that, I was super nervous about going through this process with my Korean mom (iykyk), but Nadia made every step so seamless and special for both of us!! We had the most amazing experience after visiting 4 different bridal salons we stumbled upon NWLA at the last minute. Not only did we find the perfect wedding dress AND second party dress we were helped by the amazing Jenna who was so knowledgeable, competent, fun and supportive. My first experience at NWLA and with Nadia (the owner) was great. She was very friendly and had a big selection of wedding gowns. I immediately found the dress I loved and wanted by Berta! She worked with me on the price and took all of my measurements so that we could place the order for the dress. That same day I gave her the deposit for the order and she gave me an estimated arrival date which worked perfectly with my timeline. Once the gown arrived I scheduled an appointment to try on the dress and take it home with me. When trying on the dress, I was very disappointed to find out the measurements were taken inaccurately, or given to Berta incorrectly. The dress fit me perfectly, but the cup sizing was way too small (about 2 cup sizes too small). I have a very large bust (D) and the cups ordered were for a B cup. The sample that I originally tried on several months ago was one size too large on me, but was my cup size. The new dress that arrived was way too small on my bust, but fit my body perfectly everywhere else. That being said, her solution was for me to take home the sample dress which I was okay with, I didn't mind that the dress was not brand new. The part that frustrated me is that the sample dress is one size bigger than the one I ordered, and I now need to pay a lot more for alternations to make the dress fit my size. Overall Nadia is very nice and she has a beautiful store with many designers, but I was not 100% satisfied with my experience after paying thousands of dollars on my wedding dress and have the dress come in the wrong size. As someone who works in customer service, I expect the owner to take responsibility and find a solution to make their customers happy. read more

Came here for wedding dress shopping last month. Nadia wanted to reschedule our appointment and offered a 15% discount if purchased my dress there, which was very generous! I gladly accepted. Tried on a few dresses, wasn't majorly vibing any of them. 5th dress she pulled was well out of my budget and was a large satin ballgown, which was pretty on but didn't work well with our Mexico destination.
