Queen Anne's was exactly that for us. We had about 75 guests, and were comfortable, but cozy. Here are some words that come to mind when I think of the space: chic, vintage, intentional, beautiful, versatile and lovely. Amanda, the owner, was great from the start. Patient, kind and helpful. Her experience was evident throughout our entire planning process. She worked with us to up to the very end, easing our little anxieties and assisting us with whatever we needed. The staff at Queen Anne's was amazing! We were so pleased with the above and beyond service. A room flip was needed after the ceremony, for the reception. It was done in a timely, efficient fashion, and for that, we (and our guests), were so grateful. Food was exactly what we expected- and delicious. We opted for food stations, rather than a formal sit-down dinner. Appetizer platters, salad, sliders and pizza. Everything was fantastic. No complaints from us or our guests. We had a blast! Amanda was always available for any questions and there on the event day to ensure it started without a hitch. But if you're like me, you never really noticed it until you attended a wedding there. Purchased by the town of Narragansett and restored as an event venue in 2002, Kinney bungalow is a very nice space for a smallish wedding. The one i attended had the ceremony and cocktail hour outside the bungalow on the grounds, and the reception inside the bungalow. The background in early fall was very serene - view of a farm and the sound of birds in the air. The one negative is a layout -the space is basically a square, which is great, but in actuality it's the outline of a square, as the middle area is blocked off for the stairs, elevator, and built-in bar. This results in some strange sight lines - if there's something going on (like cake cutting) on one side of the square, depending on your seat your view might be obstructed. I was informed that only the space (and possibly the chairs/tables) came as part of the venue, so i won't include any ratings of the food here. To sum it up, Kinney is a solid choice of a wedding or other even venue for anyone looking to work in a little bit of Rhode Island flair.

This goes for the NYYC Harbor Court station in Newport, RI. Our Commodore was having his "Commodore Cruise" in New England and the closing dinner was to be at Harbor Court. Now, with COVID there was a limit on guests amd total crowd for a dinner. We had over 100 cruising ew England and over 80 were due for the final dinner. Add Henri the hurricane to the mix and we had some challenges for the dinner. We had cocktails on the front lawn. Then, the NYYC set is up outside in the motor court area for dinner. This allowed us to get our entire group together. Weather was perfect. Calm Before the storm as they say. We even had the opportunity to watch the clubs "colors" ceremony when they retreat the flag each evening prior to sunset. Now getting to the food and service. With COVID it is especially hard to find amd keep good servers. We struggle with that at our club. It here at the NYYC. First they had plenty of staff. A welcome reprise from those businesses who can't seem to ramp staff back up. Even more impressive, their staff are trained very well. Women first, serve from left, remove from Right etc... I was thoroughly impressed that during COVID, and the night before a major hurricane, the NYYC was able to host the dinner for the StFYC and do so at such a best-of-class level. If you have a chance to visit Harbor Court, don't miss it!

You understood our shared vision and delivered the weekend impeccably. And that isn't easy with a demanding Jewish mother, a southern dad with slow to warm preferences, and busy high powered professional bride and groom with demanding jobs in New York City! Here are just some of the things we appreciated about our experience with you: all our questions were answered in a timely fashion (even tiny details like how tall is the awning on the deck in case we have to put the chuppa there), the play fields were in excellent condition even after a miserable winter, the star gazing at observatory was inspiring, the food was consistently delicious and presented beautifully (delighting even the hard to please cousins from NYC), rooms throughout the site were clean and inviting, all amenities provided and beautiful views from all of rooms, service was outstanding at every moment and, of course, you even did a great job on the weather. You all think of every detail and guided us with gentle awareness whenever we were floundering or headed in the wrong direction. You all were flexible and understanding and just fun to work with. Erin, you were amazing at your meticulous attention to detail in planning and George you were a reassuring and helpfully guiding voice even in the most intense moments of the weekend. Bill, loved your humor and inspiration with the food, making every guest feel nurtured and grateful for the experience. Facility was in impeccable condition and everything that was promised was delivered and more - right down to the smore ingredients and fire started just as promised - even after a rainy day preceding the wedding. They topped it off with a variety of fresh desserts which included amazing chocolate covered cherries and lemon cake to name a few.
