Let me start off by saying I was super upset that there was no one here on a Sat from 8-9:30pm. The place is gorgeous on the inside and is perfect for date night, girls night out, or a family dinner. The restaurant is located in the art gallery building and there is parking located at the building. I really wanted the Bloody Mary shooter but was told that they don't sell it on its own and that it comes with the order of crab crake. But my server was amazing and made it happen. We started off with the drum nachos. That was the of the show. We enjoyed it so much. The drum was cooked to perfection and the lettuce with the cheese and the crema were delicious. We ate everything. The oysters weren't anything special. They were still attacked to the bottom of the shell so I had to attach them. The watermelon sauce they have to put on them is super good. Our next favorite thing was the red snapper. I had seen pictures on yelp and it looked blackened. When we ordered we weren't asked if we wanted blackened or fried. It came out fried which was ok but I was expecting blackened. It was still really good a tasty and we finished it all. We did order the three cheese cavatappi and that was a miss for use. We thought it was going to be creamy and it wasn't. It got hard really quick so that is something we will not be getting again. Then we ordered the shrimp 41 sandwich. Basically a shrimp po'boy. They only suggestion I would have for this is to ad more of the sauce to the sandwich and offer a side of tartar sauce to dip. We got the fries that can with tajin which tasted good but next time I would say easy on the tajin. For desert we got the bourbon glazed bread pudding. It was fantastic. Based on the yelp pictures we saw it was paired with Ice cream so we thought that's the way it came. So just letting everyone know it doesn't come with Ice cream. I was a fantastic dessert through. ww will be ordering that again when we stop by. I also ordered the lavender haze as my drink and it its presentation is beautiful and it tasted really good. OMGoodness! Has to be one of our favorites! We love trying new restaurants in the cities we are visiting and Gallery 41 had outstanding reviews. We are going to add to those. Beautiful from the moment you step into the museum foyer to get to the restaurant itself. Lovely view of the harbor with all the boats. We were greeted warmly even though it was already 8:00 pm with closing at 9:00 plus I had 3 grands with me. Tara, our server was simply the best! She got the kids orders first while I enjoyed a cocktail. I believe it was called Lavender Haze and was very refreshing. The bacon wrapped shrimp was amazing with the cream cheese. I will never think of creamed spinach the same. This side was prepared with fresh spinach and was not overcooked, very nice! You can sit outside as well. The food was surprisingly good for a random pick. The service was very lacking and I felt we were overlooked but not a huge deal. The vegetable puff pasty dish was good but the vegetables were not very evenly distributed but still really delicious and worth it. The duck was surprisingly good and the steak and lobster tail with the compound butter was one of the best steaks I have had in a while. The sandwich, however, is very skippable and would not recommend compared to the other things on the menu. The cavatappi was way too salty and the fries were closer to chips than nice soft fries. The chocolate churro cake was just glorified coffee cake, so unless you like coffee cake I would say it can be skippable. Overall, will definitely go again, but probably not order the same things! We enjoyed having a little corner of the restaurant to ourselves. Our server Benicio was a joy and gave us a wonderful dining experience. He was also a wealth of information and all of his recommendations were pretty tasty I enjoyed my Braised Atlantic Salmon with jalapeño glazed heirloom carrots. My minor improvement would be to add salt or a bit more seasoning. For someone who loves salmon and eats it often, I would've liked a bit more flavor as the sauce was very good. Hubby had the Red Snapper and creamed baby spinach. Of course I tasted some of his meal, so I can attest to deliciousness of his entree. His fish had more flavor and actually went really well with my sauce. We also shared 2 shoestring fries, yup 2, they were really good and burst of sour and tangy flavors. At this point I was full and hubby finished off his meal with Bulleit bourbon bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Nothing was left on his plate so I would say he enjoyed it. Probably one of the nicest places in corpus when it comes to ambiance and the price, however the food is just ok. It is nothing out of this world and you are pretty much just paying for the fancy place. At this price point, you are paying for atmosphere and service. The fact that paying guests have to police the dining room while management shrugs their shoulders is completely unacceptable. Jerry was such an inviting and friendly waiter who took such great care of us and made great recommendations. I ordered lavender haze cocktail, which was lovely with not too tart lemon flavor with nice subtle notes of lavender. I tried the filet mignon (with espresso Demi glace) with a side of cheese cavatapi which was amazing. The filet mignon was very tender and cooked to my liking, and that Demi glace had such depth of flavor that accompanied the filet mignon so well. The cheese cavatapi had a nice gooey texture with buttery breadcrumbs which I enjoyed as well. My friend ordered their burger which she absolutely enjoyed. To my surprise, the waiter brought another plate of filet mignon entree as we were finishing the meal. He explained that the kitchen had made a mistake of serving me a 6oz steak instead of 8oz as the menu had said, and that they wanted to be honest and provide me with an extra plate to make it right. To be honest, I didn't even notice the size of the steak but I thought it was such an honest and integral part on the restaurant that I felt touched! A friend and I decided to try it out after work on Saturday and we are glad we did! We were seated right away and our waitress and every other staff member there checked in on us!
