I wanted to squeeze in a pedicure before the holidays kicked off, so I called MV Hair and Nails around 9 am asking if they had any opening. The kind lady to answered the phone asked how many people and what time worked best for me. I told her that I was thinking 10 am, but if she could get the two of us in at the same time then 1030 would work. I then asked their pricing. She said $30 regular pedicure, $40 gel pedicure. This was a better price than I had been quoted at other salons, so I confirmed the 1030 slot and off we went. The shop is located in a massive former salon right next to AutoZone. When we arrived, there were signs on the door that stated that masks were required to enter. This was fine by me except for the fact that I only had my kids masks in the car . Luckily, I have a small face and made it work. When we went to enter the establishment, the door was locked, but a lady, who I later found out was Loan, quickly shuffled over and welcomed us in. She asked us to be seated while she finished with a client and I browsed through the standard gel polish offerings. We were then seated at the massage chairs and asked to place our feet in the basins while the water warmed up. Mary assisted my guest with their pedicure while Loan worked on my feet. Loan selected massage setting for us both as the remotes were locked in behind the chairs. This was something I hadn't seen before but if you are someone who likes to choose their own settings, it is something to keep in mind. The pedicure session was great. I am super ticklish and she made sure to not be too rough with my feet. The Cherry Berry color looked exactly how I wanted, so I asked for a gel manicure as well since it was $25. This is where things were not so good. My left hand came out perfectly. I chose Autumn Leaves and Champagne Gold, both with glittery sparkles. My right hand left more to be desired. It is now just over 8 days since my visit and the edges around my cuticles have already lifted and chipped off. The gel color doesn't go all the way to the side edges of my nail and it very easy to see the areas where the polish distribution wasn't even. Overall, I would return. The ladies are very sweet and welcoming. I would recommend Loan for pedicures and Mary for manicures. read more

The first time I came in, I made an appointment the day, Mary was my nail tech for my gel manicure and she did an amazing job, she even massaged my hand and fixed one of my nails that was splitting. The second time I came in, I made an appointment the day of and Loan was my nail tech and I was super disappointed by the experience. Loan painted my nails unevenly (there are some missing patches of nail polish), and she didn't even clean up the nail polish around my nails. I would give 3.5 stars if I could and I recommend you ask for Mary for your manicure. read more

My gf and I came here for the good reviews we read online. I called around 10am for two deluxe pedicures and was able to set the appt to come in later that same day around noon. Don't get confused with the other nail salon across the street in the same plaza as JJ's Fish & Chips. This one is across the street on the same side as George's Liquor a few doors down from Auto Zone. These two women definitely take pride in their work and it shows. They took their time and were very thorough. They spent the time to file my very dry and callous feet. And it was a coarse file where it got the job done and made my heels nice and smooth. She definitely put in work and the time to give me the best and worth every penny pedicure. She wanted to make sure I was satisfied and not just do a job and rush me out the chair. Definitely will be only going here for my pedicures. You won't be disappointed! read more

Came in to get a pedicure with my mother. The nail technician did a great job and was super nice both over the phone when setting an appointment and in person. They're also very clean and Covid conscious, so provide adequate spacing and dividers. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to get a pedicure. read more

The ladies that own this shop used to work for Unique cuts, next to Subway on Travis. I think the move has made them a little more happier! The shop is clean, spacious & ready to take on more additions to the employees, as there is only 2 ladies. Came in for a gel pedi / regular mani around 11am Monday but was Veterans Day. They had one other customer getting a pedicure.. I had the pleasure of having Mary as my technician! The regular spa pedicure is $25, however with gel polish $35. A simple manicure is $10 The pedicure was nothing fancy but Mary took her time. Foot soak, nails / cuticles trimmed, lotion massage & polish! While the massage may not have been very long in duration, Mary actually applied pressure making it very relaxing. I also had the massage chair going! Double the relaxation.
