I had high hopes for this spot after checking out the menu. The offerings are varied- not your typical local pub grub, but global flavors from around the world. It's something a bit different for our area and I was very excited to try it out... We finally visited for brunch this morning and it exceeded my expectations! Food and drinks were all phenomenal. We had the coffee milk punch (delicious and definitely has some bite), the apple cider sangria (drink special), Peruvian empanadas (app special and OMG- such unique flavor), Spanish Benedict and breakfast torta. I definitely let out a tiny moan when I bit into that bennie... just wonderful! Everything was also perfectly cooked. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. I loved the pops of yellow, the wall murals and mixture of textures throughout- brick, wood, metal. My one suggestion would be larger tables for 2- it felt really small for my fiancé and I with our plates and drinks. Service was prompt and friendly. We will be back- most likely for dinner next time!

We tried Gallivant Global Eatery at 442 Central Ave in Dover NH for the first time this morning. The parking available on the street is paid for via Flowbird parking app. We had to download this but it worked easily. Out front there are two two seat tables for outside dining. Inside is gorgeous! Well lit, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. We didn't need the rest room so I can't speak about that. The only issue is the beautiful sofas are too low for the tables they are set up with. Our server was friendly, attentive, prompt, and helpful. We started with curry tots and homemade date ketchup. Omg we could have eaten several dozen of these tots! Not too spicy but just enough that the slightly sweet ketchup was a lovely counterpoint. We also had breakfast Bao!! Wow wow Bao!! We adore Bao and order them when we see them in a menu. These did not disappoint. So good! Two per order and each is around three or four bites of deliciousness! We had a Thai iced Chai and a Matcha pistachio rose iced latte. The Thai iced chai was good, not as spicy as I would have liked but still delicious. I think I detected a hint of mint? It wasn't overpowering so it worked. My companion said the Matcha pistachio rose latte was too sweet and not enough Matcha tasting to their liking. I tasted it and liked it, but I prefer far less Matcha powder when I mix a Matcha drink. Both drinks were amply sized. The water served is infused with lemon or lime which adds a nice touch. Very refreshing. My companion ate the Tiramisu French toast and said it was heavenly! I had the Shakshuka! It was hot temperature wise, but when it cooled a bit I enjoyed it thoroughly. I wish there was more tahini crema and more feta on top. The little naan breads it comes with were lovely as well. This portion was large enough so that I was never hungry for lunch later in the afternoon. We tipped 20% which brought our total to $85.93. More than I would ever spend on a meal usually but this was a special occasion. We left full and happy!

I really wanted to like this place! The menu looked so interesting. I got take out but the space inside looked welcome, small sure, but nice. I got the pork belly which unfortunately was burned. I had to peel off a lot of it as it was just flaking apart. It was tasty though! I also got the curry tots with a the house made date ketchup. I hate to say it but they tasted like ordinary tots and ketchup. I was disappointed.

I love how unique and varied the menu is, really does feel like I could try a bite from all around the world. It's been so long since I've seen shakshouka on the menu, and halloumi fries! Speaking of, both of those were so tasty, highly recommend. The shakshouka had the right amount of feta, and the fries had this delicious herbal oil on them. The crazy burger was also pretty good. We came really hungry and the portions did seem a bit smallish to us, but it was great because we got to order more. The service was really slow, and they explained that it was because they usually aren't open on Mondays and were super short-staffed.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT Great. Good service & interesting food. Everything is a refreshing twist, from the décor to the food. OUR PURCHASE -Curry Tots, $9 -Breakfast Torta, $13 -Food Truck Shrimp (and Grits), $18 -Spanish Benedict, $16 -2 tea specials, one hot and one cold, $6? -Iced Chai Latte, $6 THE DETAILS This is definitely what I want when I want something interesting and unique, not the same run-of-the-mill turkey sandwich. (Which I do love, btw.) When ordering, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. But I was so pleased with the results. We were greeted immediately and felt instantly welcome. The restaurant is beautiful. It's such a perfect blend of international styles and comfort. The seating was unique and fun. We started with the tots, which were a great take on a staple. I don't like ketchup, so I didn't like the condiment. But I loved that it had a twist: date ketchup. In another life, I'd have been all over that. We each really enjoyed our meals, which all had fantastic presentations. The serving sizes were not huge, but were perfect. It was absolutely enough food for each of us. WOULD RECOMMEND? Definitely, and I genuinely hope Dover realizes and supports this gem.

This is a local gem! Highly recommend stopping by for brunch or lunch. They have a unique globally inspired menu yet my kids always find stuff they love too! We love going here for family brunch but I have gone for lunch as well. Everything we've tried has been delicious and they always have fun cocktail and coffee specials to try as well. The ambiance is amazing and the staff is friendly and attentive. Family favorites include the shakshouka, the plantains and carnitas hash, the curry tots, the pork belly bites, and the kids adore the bubble waffle.

Delicious food and great service at Gallivant! I had the vegan French toast and it was perfect (not too sweet and heavy). My husband had the Benedict dish and it was flavorful. We also shared the curry puffs. They were crispy and not oily. We will definitely come out to try out other menu items especially the other vegan options.

    Tiramisu French Toast

The food was really good, I had the Tiramisu French Toast and it was delicious! Great option for breakfast.

Great service. Got a snack that was different, but really tasty. Got an espresso martini flight that was good. Get "Mexican Hot Chocolate" or "Coconut"

We stopped in here after running errands downtown AND WOW. The food and cocktails were amazing. I had Shashuka and I've been craving it since! Fantastic service and beautiful ambiance. Worth stopping in for breakfast or lunch, we will definitely be back.

On a President's Day Monday at 1pm, the establishment seemed at just under half occupancy. I thought I needed to wait for seating, but staff said I could pick any table and they'd head over shortly. My friend and I ordered the sausage roll ($12) and scotch egg ($13) appetizers to share, and I ordered the bangers and mash ($19) entree for myself. The sausage roll, cut up into 6 slightly larger than bite-sized pieces, consisted of flaky and buttery pastry with herbal, earthy, and slightly crumbly sausage out of its casing. Imaging homemade breakfast sausage, but less sweet and more sharp. The accompanying brown mustard provided a nice contrast, yet remained relatively mellow. It also came with a bit of field greens so I could pretend to be healthy. The scotch egg arrived as a textbook example of a softboiled egg with a yammy yolk. The outer sausage shell tasted similar to that of the sausage roll. The accompanying chili jam cut down on the savoriness just a touch; it melded tart, spiciness, and sweetness yet also remained mellow, not overpowering the egg. My entree, the bangers and mash, proved exceptional. The peas were some of the brightest, most vibrant, juicy and crisp peas I'd ever had. Each one had just a slight burst at the bite. The caramelized onions adorning the mash had been browned down a long time, like what you'd expect in French onion soup. The mash itself, made from red potatoes, tasted robust and rich without being overly dense or overly reliant on butter (not shaming butter, but these potatoes deserve to shine, not drowned out). The bangers themselves possessed crisp, taunt casings with juicy interiors. I would almost describe it as "fresh" in the same way I would describe high-quality vegetables. Weird, but I don't know how else to express this sentiment. Service was a bit slow, probably from the Monday holiday. Since it was technically a weekday, I was able to order $4.5 bud lite drafts from the happy hour menu (Mon-Fri 1-230pm). Overall, I walked away quite impressed from what was me randomly picking a place to get lunch after being at White Birch Armories at opening to beat the range wait.

We were not having any luck finding any of our regular places open today. While driving through Dover, we passed The Nook and realized that we walk by it many times at night and this was the first time during the day we were in the area, and with the sign All day breakfast and Burgers, we found the place. Just on the corner, you can people-watch during your meal. The space is currently decorated for the holidays (yes, it is January), but we loved it. The menu is fantastic with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. If you cannot find something to order, there is something wrong with you. They also offer a full bar, so Mamosa are a perfect brunch option. The staff is friendly and made our visit. Of course, you walk in to a large display case of muffins, cinnamon rolls and other bakery treats. But today, I wanted pancakes! Eggs, baked beans and pancakes! The beans were incredible. Loved them and only hope they were homemade, but if they were canned, they were pretty yummy. My spouse had a burger with fries, and the fries were perfect. Crunchy on the outside and not mushy on the inside! What a find! Sorry it took so long, but we will be back again soon. There is street and paid lot parking nearby. You can use Flowbird app to pay and track your parking in Dover. See you soon.
