We ride bikes nearby so this is an easy place to stop for lunch. This place definitely has that local dive bar feel from the minute you pull up. There is a small gravel/dirt parking lot on the side of the building and both times we visited we didn't have any issues getting a space. When you walk in it is a little dark and seems dingy at first but it was pretty clean both times we went. The service was decent even though there was only one person there working the bar and the tables. She managed everything well and we didn't have to wait long for refills or anything else. It did take some time to get our food but I imagine the back wasn't over staffed either and we weren't in a hurry so it was no big deal. The pizza wasn't bad at all. The crust was a little crispy on the outside and soft in the middle which is how my husband likes pizza. The toppings were generous and the pizza had plenty of flavor. I was not a big fan of the sauce (a little plain for me) but it wasn't a deal breaker. We also ordered the meatball sub. The bread was good and the meatballs were ok. The sauce was a little plain but we just added salt and pepper. My daughter ordered a Philly cheesesteak when we went in the first time and she enjoyed it. She said the meat wasn't chewy at all and she liked the way the onions were cooked. I feel like the pizza prices were a little high but again not a deal breaker. The bar has a MAGA vibe. Lots of white people who don't seem too keen on outsiders. The bartender had a 'get out of my bar" kind of vibe while serving us. Seems like the kitchen is a typical Central Ohio pizza shop slinging mediocre pies, and mailing everything else in with disdain. The place does have an odor of stale farts. There is one thing about this pizza that has all four major food groups. Bite after bite the flavors of all ingredients just meld in your mouth. A MUST try! This place is the pinnacle of dive bars! We've driven past it many times and it's always packed, so last night we decided to try it and we're so glad we did! It's dark and dated with wood paneling and a tile top bar and that musty old bar smell. There's a ton of seating. The only not dive bar-y thing was the bathroom situation. I was shocked and happy to find that the bathrooms were very clean! The bar appeared to be very well kept and clean as well - not sticky or smelly, no fruit flies. The bartenders are friendly and fast. They only serve bottled beer and they have a huge assortment of liquor. The food is great! We kept it simple - cheese pizza and fried pickles. It was delicious! The batter on the chips was so crispy and had a nice kick to it. The pizza had flavorful sauce and a nice crisp crust. We will be back! read more

Best pizza that I have had in a really long time! Lots of toppings and a ton of cheese. The sauce is really good and so is the crust. It's not a thin cracker crust. Its a little thicker than that but really good. Also the boyfriend really likes their wings. The price is ridiculously low for the quality if food. A medium pep pizza and 6 wings is a little over $13. So affordable! The tavern itself is pretty divey but not bad. It's not very large and if it is a busy night, you might not get a table. The beer is nice and cold and the karaoke on the weekends is great. The only downside is that if you are in there for drinking, pool and/or karaoke, after about midnight you get a lot of young "adults" who come in and they are ridiculously irritating, acting like drunk children. We lived within just a couple of miles of this place for years and drove past it regularly, but never went in. We had no idea that they served what has become my favorite pizza in the Columbus area. As we drove by, our immediate perception was "biker bar," or more simply "dive." We found out about the pizza by accident on New Year's Eve a couple of years ago. We had no plans for the big night, so I was spending some time out in my hangar at Bolton Field, where I am building an airplane. A couple of my airport buddies were out there too, and after one thing led to another we found ourselves sitting in the heat cone of a 100,000 BTU space heater getting tanked on single malt scotch. One of the guys got hungry and suggested a pizza run. With most of us being in no condition to drive, it was decided that someone would go get carryout. The pizza was superb, and I had to know where it came from. I thought they were having me on when they told me it was from the Galloway Tavern! Since that fateful night, it has become something of a routine to head over there for a large sausage pie after spending a weekend morning working on the airplane. At that time, it's quiet and easy to chat over a couple of beers and the pizza. I did make the mistake of taking a group over there on a Saturday night, though. I knew we weren't going to have much my way of conversation when the Karaoke started. It was so loud that I thought I might have to fashion some earplugs out of napkins in a MacGyver-esque manner. It was at the point that the Karaoke DJ guy walked by on his way to one of the speakers behind us, unfortunately to plug it in. The volume level instantly doubled. Still, it was a friendly crowd, and the female singers easily made up for lack of vocal talent with their somewhat revealing clothing. This might be our new favorite pizza spot. I called at 7 on a Friday (normally busiest time for any spot) and put in an order for a large pizza and wings. The woman who answered the phone was very nice. I asked what their "specialty" wings were since we hadn't eaten there before. She recommended the Carolina gold which were awesome. We were told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. We arrived 15 minutes later and were in and out in less than 2 minutes. If you wanted to dine in parking may be a problem as the lot was small. I would also be hesitant to dine in due to the smoke from the people outside making its way in, but overall you should definitely give this place a shot. read more
