She mentioned an add on service of 100 dollars but was optional. Fast forward to the visit and the tech did an exam and asked if I wanted another type of test, which I declined. I saw the dr, who was great. At checkout I had an additional 100 dollars tacked onto my charge. I didn't have time to argue or look at the receipt and decided that it was a good experience and I needed the exam anyway. I was told they carry the type of frame I wanted and to call when I was ready to set up a fitting. Fast forward 8 months. I set up an appt and it consisted of the tech telling me they had to order the frames for me to try on! And they had no ray ban in stock. She said it would only take a few days. I waited almost 2 weeks and called when I hadn't heard anything. She said 3 out of the 4 frames arrived but the last could have been backordered and she would check and call me back. That was over a week ago. I haven't heard ANYTHING from anyone here and my appt to try frames on was 3 weeks ago. Based off the reviews and their dates, I would say this place might have been great in years past, but is really falling short presently. I would not recommend them!

I became discussed ask to speak to a manager and was told she was not there and no one was in charge. This begins to explain why my experience was so poor. After listening to my symptoms, she made the decision to bring me in for an exam within two hours as we live two hours away. Despite her already full schedule, she fit me in and performed a careful, detailed examination. I couldn't be more grateful. I tried Normandy just because I couldn't find frames I loved anywhere else. They said it would be 4 to 5 weeks! They blamed it on our insurance, which is ridiculous because we've used them for 10 years with no delays. When it had been more than 4 weeks, they left me a message that there would be another two week delay!! Plus, their hours are ridiculously customer-unfriendly!

Treated like a number; Waste of my time and money…read more SUMMARY Informed Lake Lazer (3) separate times prior and during my appointment of a long-standing issue with my left eye; Was given an exam and glasses that immediately gave me a migraine behind my left eye; Got a second opinion and found that the prescription was grossly wrong, and somehow had both mis-diagnosed my left eye AND ignored my telling them; Asked for a refund and was shown the NO REFUND POLICY that I had signed. Only bright side is that I was only getting glasses, and not LASIK! (I tried to give the full story, but was limited on characters, so....) Here are some of my takeaways from Lake Lazer of Milford: - The entire experience made me feel like I was cattle being pushed through. The morning of the appointment, I had been asked to come in early, as they were ahead of schedule, but then after the exam, waited for over half an hour for the ophthalmologist, with an assistant apologizing three times, finally confiding, "I don't know what's taking so long." After he did see me, honestly, I could not pick his face out of a six-person lineup, as his back was to me the entirety of his 3-5 minutes in my presence. Unfortunately, it is like many physician practices lately, where it is purely about the number of patients that can be seen in a day, and not by the quality of care provided. This is evidenced by the fact that I indicated to their staff (and him explicitly), THREE separate times that my left eye has a long standing issue, and NOBODY happened to notice that they put my left and right eye as being identical. - They view THEIR time as being more valuable than YOUR time. When I first asked for a refund, the office manager told me, "I wish you would have spoken to me earlier... I *often* have to tell patients that the initial eye exam might be off and that they need to re-test." (WTAF?) I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So, I googled, "How accurate are eye exams?" and google's response was "Eye exams are extremely accurate, if performed by properly trained staff, and with adequate time so as not to be rushed." By the matter-of-fact way that they OFTEN have to have patients re-test, indicates that they do not adequately train their assistants, nor do they care about YOUR time, because if they get it wrong, well, YOU just come back in and expend another hour of your life. They're at work anyways, what does it matter to them? Personally, I am a small business owner, and when people waste MY time, especially with no sign of remorse, it irritates me to no end. - They are more focused on the $$$ than the individual This is pretty obvious to me, because everything that has been said in this review, has been said to the office manager, and in rational, logical, non-emotional ways. I paid for an exam that was faulty, and glasses that were faulty. I got a second opinion, and proper care, from another source. I don't see why I need to be monetarily penalized for their incompetence. If I find that MY company has failed to provide adequate service, then MY company is going to give a refund. It seems like that is common logic. Why this is not the case for Lake Lazer can only be speculated. Learn from my mistakes. Instead, go see an optometrist that talks to you face-to-face and whose sole focus is 20/20 vision.
