This is conveniently located in the heart of Lakeview, inside the Century shopping center, 2nd floor. Amidst local shops and restaurants, a perfect spot for a night out. Invite up to 30 of your closest buds and surely, you'll have the best time. Value? Hmmmm... for 3 hours, we paid +$1K for the room (plus gratuity- which was not imposed at all, we just really liked our hosts). There were 23 of us, so it came out to being affordable. For this price, you get a huge room with plenty of seating, vast countertops and an island for your food and drinks, cabinets that are stocked with cups and party needs, nooks and crannies for Knick knacks, and clean up. Not bad, eh? Max, Jess, and Kerri were our super hosts and moderators. It helps to have these guys around to clearly describe the rules and moderate the games. We played a total of 5 different games plus the Finale. These guys are so good in not only hosting and leading the games to ensure everyone is having fun, but most importantly, they keep every one ON TIME! Very important, especially when everyone is tipsy and barely remembering their names, what more keeping in mind that the clock is ticking. Next time I go to this place, I will have prizes and perhaps, a trophy ready for the winning team! You don't have to be a genius to have fun, your friends just have to be dumber than you! I had such a memorable experience with Carrie (spelling?) and Lexi (spelling) spending the beginning of my 30th birthday. The friends I brought were of varying gaming levels and they all enjoyed themselves. The room reminded me of someone's home which helped contribute to the comfortability. A friend of mine wanted to celebrate her birthday here. I never heard of it but after signing their waiver online it kept appearing on my Facebook newsfeed. Imagine that. Anyways, its located on the 4th floor of the Landmark Century Mall. That poor mall looked so barren, which is sad. You walk into this place and you're greeted by a couple of well dressed gentleman. They lead you into a room that looks like someone's apartment: two couches facing a tv and a kitchen. My friend was prepared bringing drinks and snacks for us since all they could offer were plastic utensils, napkins, and cups. They did have a fridge so that was nice. After chillin for a bit in the kitchen we made our way to the couches. There was only 8 of us so it was a good number for the couch. If we had more people that would mean the rest would have to stand behind the couch. Our two hosts worked well together and they were entertaining. The games we played were fun and not too painstakingly difficult. You wont be left embarressed but maybe exhausted (if you volunteer to pump the dynamite...haha) They said that they change out the games often so that's a good thing in case I come back. I love this place!! I first went here for a girlfriends birthday party and had so much fun I suggested a team outing for work. It's BYOB and has a kitchen area so we also brought some pizza to eat. I recommend doing 2 hours because it goes by so fast and is so fun so you will not want to leave. It's basically like being on a live game show, you will have two very funny hosts that will guide you through 5-6 different interactive games. Our hosts were great, Meg and another woman. They split us into teams & rotated us among games and rounds. The space is setup like a living room with couches and stools. We had about 20 people, which seemed to be a good number for the space. It's also BYOB & F, we brought in pizza and drinks in. I booked this place for a team outing based on a Google search for team outing in Chicago. Never knowing exactly what to expect from those searches, I was nervous about my team of 9 not enjoying themselves. We walk in and it's set up just like a living room so it's a very comfortable atmosphere. You're able to bring your own drinks and they supply the ice, cups, napkins, and even bottled water. We had Sheena and Gary as our hosts. Their non-stop high energy is commendable. Without them our experience wouldn't be the same. They kept the atmosphere lively and competitive. The games varied a lot and were all fun and really got everyone involved at all times. We had 2 hours of lots of laughs, cheering, and smack talking. It was great and the entire team loved it! We had booked this place for a team outing, and well, looking at the reviews I was getting super curious about how this was going to work. Mostly because all the pictures showed a living room set up, and many of the reviews were for like, 8-20 people, but our team had almost 40 people. Would it be cramped? Would it be fun? What the heck is going on? Once you enter the building, you just need to go up one flight of stairs to find the spot. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks here, so we had our food set out near the entrance and our beers loaded into their fridges in the main room, which looks like a living room/basement/rec room. They gave us time to eat and get settled, then the games begun. Don't want to spoil things too much, but they did a good job of getting all of us involved. They split our giant group into four teams, and had half of us playing at a time which actually worked out well. Gave us time to use the washroom, strategize, or drink more beers like I did. The hosts kept things flowing even as our team's BAC levels started rising. The rules were clear and they had just the right amount of little quips and jokes. Most importantly, it was set up in a way to make sure everyone got involved. Some games had everyone involved equally, while some put a few people on the spot while team members helped. There were enough opportunities for us to put each member of our team in that awkward spot at least once, which really worked out nicely. I'm already hitched, but I could definitely see this as a great bridal party kind of thing, or anything of the like. You can easily compare this to escape rooms (which I love) but this definitely appeals to all audiences in a fun way. read more

Recently participated in a teambuilding happy hour with Game Night Out's virtual Game Night In. Except we did it at 3pm because what is time on a Friday anyway? Our manager booked the experience, so I can't speak to things like cost and scheduling, but as a way-too-enthusiastic participant, I had an asbolute blast. Again, I went into it pretty blind, so had no idea what we were up for. I guess I suspected trivia, maybe some interactive drawing using our computers, and guessing type of games? Wrong. We broke out into teams and did several rounds of very (read: very!) interactive games - like get up out of your seat, run around your house, athletic sprinting type of interactive. Ok, maybe not the last one, but that's definitely what I was doing only because I wanted our team to win... which we did *smirk smirk smirk* Had an absolute blast and I felt like we truly bonded as a team, sharing things from our personal lives/homes. This place was so fun! We went with a group of about 12. The room was so cute and you can tell it's pretty new. Our problem was our own group showing up late but the hosts were good about it and kept checking in with us to see if we wanted to wait or get started. This concept of having a game night out is awesome! I came here for a work event and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. What this consist of is a game night moderated by two game masters. My group was split into two teams to play a few games against each other. At the start of every game, the game masters explained what the rules are and all the games are played with a time limit so no game ever gets too long. These games are group oriented and very interactive so everyone will be engaged. Some of these games included 1) description games where team members have to describe something to the person guessing what that word is 2) acting out songs 3) group puzzle games. For a team bonding activity, this is a pretty good place for that. Note that this place is BYOB and they don't seem to serve food. You can bring any food or drink into the space which is quite large with a lot of table space and fridge. They have cups, water, wine and beer openers so you don't need to worry about bringing those. Walmart and Trader Joe's are pretty close if you wanted to go there before the beginning of your reserved time. read more

We celebrated our daughter's grad school graduation here and couldn't have been happier that this is where we chose to celebrate!
