Our session included at least 4 games from the "Wheel of Fortune", to "Family Feud", to Plinko from "Price Is Right" style games. The studio was a little small, but comfortable for 2 groups of 8-10. The games flowed from one to another, no breaks, but our session moved quickly. I'd say we were in the room for atleast an hour. It was well worth the time spent. Shout out to our host Elise and our Producer, Sebastian for keeping the momentumgoing and the energy high. There is a parking garage immediately next door, and it is recommended to start your payment process through text, and Game Show Studio will validate your parking. It is also recommended to get there 15 mins before your scheduled start time, but they do allow a grace period. It's a super fun activity and hey, you get bragging points if your group wins! I don't know what I was expecting when we got invited to the Game Show Studio but it turned out to be a great evening. We were about 18 in total meeting up on a Saturday evening to play what felt like Family Feud. When we arrived, we waited in the lobby, selected our teams, and our hosts gave us the gist of what we were about to do, then we went into the room. Each team was on opposite sides, and one player from each team had to step up to the podium, and whoever hit the buzzer first had the chance to answer the question and could steal that round for their team. The game was exciting and even had a Wheel of Fortune vibe to it as well because there's literally a wheel that you get to spin. The hosts even curated a playlist for us, which added to the experience. I'd definitely be back and I recommend this to anyone looking to have a good time with a group. Parking was decent because there's a garage close by. Not sure how much the game cost because someone took care of it for us but, I'm sure if they had drinks (I don't even drink) for adults, it could further elevate the experience. read more

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a super fun time. The studio is a part of an escape room space and so the sign doesn't say the game show studio's name, but it wasn't hard to find. The hosts and producer for our game show were so charismatic and made the entire experience that much more fun. The studio was also well decorated and the lights made it seem like you were really on a TV game show. The games themselves were pretty typical, similar to popular ones seen on TV (family feud, guess the price, etc.), but because it was my friend's birthday they did a segment dedicated to her which was really sweet of them. We played a total of 4 games in a hour and at the end the team that won got a huge trophy. The parking is a lot of street parking with a garage nearby where you can get parking validated. I would definitely recommend this experience to other friend groups looking for something fun to do or a unique way to celebrate someone. read more

I came here with a group of Yelpers a few months ago before they rebranded from the Game Show Challenge to the Game Show Studio. We had a group of 11. Parking is located in the garage across the street and they do validate parking. The validation is a code that you enter on the parking website. You have to sign a waiver before you can play. You can do it online before you arrive or at the check in desk. They have a nice waiting area with some couches, tables, and chairs. Our host was Jessica and our producer was Moloch. They were both nice. Jessica was a lot of fun and had a lot of energy. Our producer had a couple of snafus, but it didn't ruin our experience. There's licensing restrictions with the names of the games, but you're basically playing games like Plinko, Family Feud (they called it "Survey Says"), and Wheel of Fortune. We played three games. For Wheel, it would have been helpful if they gave us a topic before we guessed. Perhaps they can't because of copyright restrictions? I found it to be a little challenging guessing the puzzle without knowing the topic. Wheel went on a little longer than I expected, but it was fun. Plinko was a lot of fun too. I don't know if the format has changed, but when we played, we had to do dance challenges. I love to dance and would have been happy to participate, but my name wasn't called. If they still have dance challenges, I would recommend wearing tennis shoes. This is a great group activity and we had a lot of fun! read more

The service was great. The receptionist was very helpful, explained all the rules, and ushered us into the game room. Our host, Will, was outstanding at keeping the game entertaining and fun. The only downside about this establishment is that the games are so much fun and induce many laughs among friends and family. I can't wait to do it again with another group of people. We played three games. I forget the name of the second one, but the first one was similar to Family Feud, and the last one was similar to The Price is Right. I highly recommend coming here and trying this with friends and family. You will not be disappointed. read more

This event was very unique and entertaining. I think the price is fair for admission. The people were helpful in explaining the events, etc.. the game show Host we had was very enthusiastic though, if I remember correctly, she was wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Not a big deal by any means, it's just most people going out around Houston are dressed fairly well and it'd be nice if the actual game show host dressed up like a host to match the vibe. The games were very fun, our crowd was definitely getting a kick out of the events. The big check at the end is a nice touch. My only other gripe (and this one is kind of a big deal, hence the 4 stars instead of 5), they charge plenty of money for you to bring your own beer in there. I can understand a small fee but, what they do charge is unreasonable in my opinion. That said, I still highly recommend getting a good group together and trying this out. This is a fun little place to try something different. We went for a friend's birthday party. Arrive early to sign waivers, pick team names, etc. The host for our show was very entertaining. Loved the games we played and of course my team won! The price for what you get is a little off in my opinion. The plinko board and spin wheel were great. But other then that seated looking at a screen. Decor definitely needs to be jazzed up a bit for the price. That didn't stop us from having a blast. Came here as part as a social for one of my med school groups. Absolutely loved it. There were 6 girls and 6 guys so of course we choose to do a battle of the genders. One of my classmates even brought his daughter to help the guys out (we needed it!) We went through several rounds of fun. On arrival, an employee greets you at the entrance with simple instructions and name tags. We were then brought into this larger room with a host using a microphone and a sound tech. We played variations of Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and Plinko. In between the major games, there are mini challenges where we actually had the most fun. Somehow, someway, we actually ended up exactly tied with the girls until the final round. Let's just say drinks were on the girls. Check it out! When I tell yall we had a funky good time at the Game Show last night! It was some priceless moments and definitely left me some videos for bribery in the near future. We all laughed so hard and everyone had a good time. The key is to go with the right set of friends, be competitive, and come ready to have a blast! My friend and I saw this place on social media and decided we needed to get our squad out here to check it out. She booked us for a Saturday night which is slightly more expensive than let's say a morning or random weekday. Before coming, we signed waivers online to speed up the process when we got there. This place is in Midtown so parking on the street is hard to find, but there is a parking garage across the street which they will validate you for a set amount of time. The Game Show Challenge is located within Escape Hunt Houston. There were no visible signs outside, so my friend and I did walk by it at first. We had a group of 11 so we did have to wait till our whole party arrived obviously. Once we were all there, they gave us a little talk about what to expect and some of the rules involved. We were then escorted to our "studio" where we saw the cool room with cool lighting, a large screen, a large spinning wheel and a Plinko board. Jess was our host and Moloch was our producer. Jess was an excellent host and kept things lively throughout the night. There were a few glitches on the production side of things, but nothing that ruined the experience overall. We decided to do boys against girls which made for a fun competition. We played games like Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud and Plinko. There was also interactive activities such as dance offs. Luckily I didn't get picked for that because I need lots of liquid courage to get the dance moves started. Our group killed it, but they should have alternatives for people that may be uncomfortable with it. At the end we got to do something I have always dreamed of...Plinko! Even on the actual game of Price is Right, this is a coveted game. We all got a chance at it and in the end, the boys were victorious! Good effort by the gals though! Overall, this was a very fun experience. I can see how this can also be a very good team building experience. I would do it again! read more

Car got broken into where they told us to park. 2 of my other coworkers cars were also broken into and they didn't do anything about it. The "security" in the garage just looked at us and also did nothing about it. The cameras were also spray painted over so there was no footage. read more

I throughly enjoyed my visit this weekend at The Game Show Challenge. I called to reserve on Monday and added additional guest at a later date. Every time I called the customer service was excellent. Once we arrived we were reminded that parking was validated. We played connect 4 and chess until we went into the actual game. We divided into 2 teams and selected our own team names. This experience is soooo much fun! I came here with a big group for my birthday and it is such an amazing and fun experience. The game show employees are super fun and the different games we do are interactive and hilarious! It is a dream of mine to be on a gameshow, and this is the perfect way to experience the excitement without making a fool of yourself on TV. (To be fair, I was on a trivia gameshow on a local news station when I was in high school, but this was way more fun.) They have the studio set up with big lights and have producers "behind the scenes" that make it feel like a real gameshow. I came here with a group of 6 friends, and we divided in to 2 teams of 3, and had a great time! We played games similar to Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and Plinko, and honestly, these are the games that you WANT to play when you come to this experience. I would have felt so disappointed if I didn't get to spin the big wheel or drop a chip down the board! We also played two quicker "beat the clock" games that involved more physical activity. These were my least favorite games because it was warm in the studio under the lights and I got sweaty moving around trying to collect ping pong balls. I was wearing comfy sandals, but wish I had worn tennis shoes. Also, my husband just isn't comfortable doing silly physical activities or dancing in front of others, so it's fortunate that he didn't have to do any of those challenges. To make the gameshow more accessible and tailored to your group, I think they should send a quick survey after you book to ensure that the scheduled games are a good fit for all ages and levels of physical fitness. In our case, I would have opted out of the butt-shaking games and preferred a trivia game instead. Miqueas was an excellent host and kept the gameshow moving. We were 6 competitive adults, which he picked up on, so he kept things fast paced so we could play as much as possible. I knocked off one star because the facility seemed to have some plumbing problems that resulted in a stinky smell in some areas and bathrooms that didn't function correctly (ladies' room toilet constantly flushing, water dripping over the sink in the men's room). Overall I thought it was a great time and fairly priced at $35/person. read more

Located inside escape hunt(started in October ) Very interactive game show like that is very kid friendly! The girls enjoyed themselves thoroughly and had plenty laughs ! The Game Show Challenge was SO FUN!! I invited 7 friends to join me for a group game in celebration of my birthday. We played a jeapordy style game to solve word puzzles. I loved how they gave us the 1st letter of each answer as clues. We guessed my favorite things (being that it was my bday). My favorite part of the challenge was when we got to compete to shake the box of balls until they fell out. The first person to drop 3 balls won. This was a really fun challenge for adults. Pretty easy to get to location wise, the staff is fun and friendly, and it is byob as long as you remember to clean up after yourself! They can fit around 18 people max comfortably.
