I've been here a couple of times now and have had so much fun. They offer new and old games so anyone can find something they like. It's changed a bit since my 1st visit. They've expanded and have more seating space (parties) and have "breakout rooms" with different games. One of them had Dance Dance Revolution (for 2) which was nice. Made it more private. They also now offer beer (they only used to offer cider) which is a huge plus. The service was also great. The bartenders were friendly. I'll definitely be going again. Cidercade is a good option for a big group activity that's (thankfully!) indoors, away from the Houston heat. I've been there with a group of adults and also with a group of kids, and just note that while it's totally fine (and very fun!) for kids, it's probably better for adults--there's no kid security check-in at the front, and the building is very big, with lots of games. We ordered a pizza from a touchscreen by a food window, and the pizza was actually pretty good, much better than I was expecting at an arcade. The downside was that, in the lunch rush, it took 30-40 minutes for that one pizza to come out, though you could tell they were individually making each item in the big pizza oven. If you want drinks, you separately order those at the front, near where you check in, which is a little odd to have two separate food/drink ordering spots. When we walked in, we paid for a wristband, which gave "free" access to all of the arcade games, except for the claw machines, which required you to buy an extra card. read more

I LOVE CIDERCADE! I went with my son, friends and nieces and nephews! We had a blast. It was a Sunday after 5 and we were able to move around easy and play all of the games we wanted. They have cider and wine for the adults and unlimited $4 soda for the kids and some bites like pizza and nachos. The sevice was great all were very friendly and helpful. I did like that they had japanese rhythm games! i've always seen them online but hadn't had the opportunity to play one until now. I love this place but today pissed me off . The hot dog was either old or the water is old . I got sick . I thought maybe it was because of the type of hot dog so I asked was it beef . The place was packed and extremely noisy they should hand out ear plugs it's that loud I'm sure the sound decibels were up there with rock concerts. There was no seating available or tables available with exception of some high bar chairs and very uncomfortable couch bench seats and I'm handicapped so it was an uncomfortable struggle. Now it is $12 for unlimited games, and the games are far fewer and far worse quality I used to go on weekends and it would be jam packed but still fun. I recently went on a week day and it was empty, but also less fun We ordered a few pizzas, but the pizzas that came out looked nothing like what was advertised. It was pathetic. The pieces were burnt and unevenly sliced. The bar in the center is nice, but as advertised it's pretty much all cider I still had fun playing a lot of my old favorites, and trying some new ones. There are classics like street fighter, dig dug, pac man, guitar hero, DDR, and new ones like Killer Queen. If you like ski ball or carnival game type hoops - they got it. If you're a pin ball wizard... there's an entire wall for that. Buck hunter, metal slug (multiple versions), pac man, etc etc etc Some tips: Order food elsewhere and bring it in. Better late than never. We finally checked out Cidercade with our daughter for one of those dog days of Summer activity ideas, and had an awesome visit. They have just about any and every retro arcade game, plus plenty of new ones, that you could think of under one roof. The variety and amount of games available to play is pretty staggering, especially as a rhythm game fan I'm very much feasting (I wish they had a DDR cabinet over stepmania but that's about it). A HIDDEN GEM IN HOUSTON!!! We came with 2 adults and 2 kids, $12/person. It closes for kids at 9pm but Adults (18+) can stay until midnight. There's almost every type of old-school arcade machine you can think of included in the $12 entry fee. Foosball, Ice Hockey, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Shooting Games, Pinball Machines, Basketball Connect Four, the list goes on and on. There are also claw machines but you have to pay for the tokens that you load onto a seperate card. That being said, we did succumb to the temptation and play a few rounds of it and I got a few prizes but not the ones I wanted so I asked the Manager/Owner(?) if I could swap them for the one I wanted that was stuck in the corner and they let me! We also paid the $4 premium for unlimited fountain drinks but honestly the flavors were so obscure that I'd just stick with the free water cup next time.
